Chapter 7- She arrives

Matthew brought a little stuffed teddy bear for baby

As the people work on the other decorations, Miya and Vivian are working on some dishes.

"Miya how's the rice congee looking? Little Xian and old man can eat it."

"Even father in law?"

"My dear he will eat it. When he was in the military he was seeked out for bad reasons. After he served a few years and kept getting recognition other soldiers had poisoned him a few times. Now that he is older he tries to take care of his body, he wants to be here for all of us."

"Mother in law, is father in law happy with me and Matthew?"

"He is. Not just him, even me. I was not expecting him to get married, you see the old man has been in the space military for a while and I haven't been easy on the children. "

Vivian takes a sigh and looks at Miya with a tired face.

—- "Them carrying their father's blood and name has been in their mind and to help them accomplish that goal we sacrificed many things. I just hoped we got to meet your family and all of us had a understanding—"

"Mother, it's fine. I didn't realize how our actions could have hurt you guys, will you forgive us now, even me?"

"Come here."

The mother and daughter in law pair hug with tears coming down their cheeks.

In the other room, Xian is smiling.

Glad they even made up.

That's when Gilia comes to meet Miya.

Gilia was an old school friend who had moved to their city as her husband was working at a company near this town. 

Once she heard that Miya was gonna celebrate her baby's homecoming so late she even said, she shouldn't, it's so late she could just save it for his 1st birthday. 

As Miya and Gilia have a little girl chat Gilia starts saying nonsense. Now even talks about how can she let her mother in law take charge in her house and that Miya shouldn't be working hard. But don't let her get close to Xian and Matthew, they should not spend too much with her. 

Miya feels very hurt.

"Gilia please calm yourself."

In an instant the conversation stopped, Gilia was so embarrassed she had dropped her tea on herself. Vivian came to check in after she heard the chatter stop.

"What happened Miya, is everything all right? Oh dear, your friend spilled her tea, I'll go get some tissues, she might need an extra dress, look at the stain it left."

Gilia's face turned bright red after Vivian tried helping her.

Miya :"Mother, you don't need to. Her house is near here, so she can go and change. Isn't that right Gilia."

After Vivian leaves the tea room, Gilia starts talking but the room is in an awkward situation now. Gilia: "Miya do you even enjoy living with Matthew your family used to–" 

Miya slammed her right then. Sensing that someone is annoying his mother Xian tries to make a move, but brother snake says no.

Mother will handle it.

But Big Brother–

Miya: "Gilia, I tolerated your disrespect earlier because you were an old friend. But now, your're pushing it!"

Gilia: "All I'm asking is if Matthew is keeping you happy, he's such a strict man keeping you in this small house, your old childhood house was at least 3 times bigger than this."

Miya: "HE DOES! You wanna know, he does. He's patient and calm with me. You don't need to worry. From now on, never ever ask me such things. Matter of fact, take your things and leave."

Gilia: "Miya, what do you mean?"

Miya: "I do not want to be your acquaintance anymore. The disrespect you showed to my family and asking me such questions when you know how I am. Am I stupid that I can't realize how rude you're being!"

Gilia: "Miya I was just worried for you!"

MIya: "Well, from now on you don't need to worry about me anymore. You aren't the only friend I have. Kindly, please take yourself out of my home."

Miya leaves the room with anger. She comes to see Xian.

The little baby was so excited to see his mother, he's playing with Ace.

Miya's thought; I can't believe I doubted my own baby because of her words.

Ace(old man, Xian's grandpa) : "What happened to Miya?"

Miya: "Nothing, it's fine Mr.Chen."

Ace: "If you need with Xian me and Vivian can stay near to babysit. And if you need a little girl party, I can take the boys for a trip with me, here's my card. You can use it for anything you need got it."

Miya: "Mr. Chen it's fine, I was just coming in to check in on Xian for the party later."

Ace: "Oh ok. Miya you can just call me Father or old man like the rest. "

Miya: "But Mr.Chen!"

Ace: "You came into our family a little different from Qiqi, that doesn't mean I have not accepted you. I'm happy for the two of you, and thank you for making my son happy. "

Miya: "Yes, Father."

Ace nods, the trio end up on the floor playing with stuffed toys keeping baby Xian happy until his nap.

Miya: "Hm, this is weird. Xian is usually asleep by now, does my baby know today's special? To bad mister, you have to sleep as the special guest. We need all your energy later."

Miya turns on the lullaby which ends up making Xian cry.

Not right now woman.

Miya: "All right, all right no sleeping here play in your little playpen with Grandpa! Father, I'm going to go help Mother in law with the touch ups."

The reason Xian wasn't going to sleep was because he had sensed something coming from his mother's room. Well not Xian, big brother snake was the one on lookout.

He felt some suspicious energy coming from the mother's room.

It was a good idea to save energy. I feel something bad in this world now.

What Big Brother?

Nothing, you rest for the party, I'll take care of the pest.

Ok Big Brother.

Now let's check what this rude woman is doing now.

Emperor Snake uses his snake spirit fog eye and finds out the woman who had argued with Mother had left some doll in her little flower plant and her hair by his father's clothes.

I don't understand, aren't we on a different planet why do I feel curse magic on those things?

She hexed them?

I can't handle the magic yet, if I spend too much of the magic I could put the little human here in danger. What should I do?

Miya was cleaning up the kitchen after all the dinnerware was set up outside for the party when Ace came to check the preparation.

Ace: "You guys really did everything, it looks great. Where's Matthew?"

Vivian: "Matthew went to pick up Miya's siblings, they got a little stuck," he said. Where's my little cute grandson?"

Miya: "Is he finally asleep Father?"

Ace: "No, he's just playing by himself, every time the lullaby song came on he would cry, so I let him play alone. I came to get his other bottle."

Little did they know the little Xian was making a plan that was gonna wreck some havoc.
