Ch-13 Fight(2)

As the fight started instructor Guo was standing on an observing platform around the field and observing every move that the students made with extreme precision.

'Everyone of them have exceptional capabilities and limitless potential. Doesn't matter how goofy or stupid they act at normal times when the fight starts they know what they shouldn't do.' He thought.

As Zimo stretched the string of his bow and then his spirit ring blinked. A crystal arrow with a beautiful feather at its back appeared.

'Zimo's first soul skill, it's known as "Glowing feather arrow". It shares the same name as the fifth worship's martial soul. It essentially allows him to create glowing feather arrows, so as long as he doesn't run out of spirit power he'll never run out of arrows.

The arrows created by the skill have a penetration effect and also by disrupting the spirit power inside the arrow Zimo can explode it according to his wish. It makes a lethal combination as if the arrow by chance bypasses the enemy's defence he or she will not have any way to defend against the explosion.

He then looked towards Shizi and Yuze who were engaged in hand to hand combat.

'Yuze is keeping Zimo on the edge by keeping Shizi in a position where it'll make it impossible to hit Yuze without hurting Shizi. And hitting Shizi will cost heavily to both Zimo and Zhi as Shizi is the one keeping Yuze occupied.'

'Shizi even though he's a crybaby when fighting he gets really serious as if he is not him. Being exceptionally talented in close combat and having the ability to recover super fast due to his physique his grandfather used that to his advantage to engrave close combat into his bones with inhumane torture from his childhood.

His first soul skill was specially selected to suit that purpose. It's known as "Claw of the demonic lion" obtained from a baby inferno lion; it essentially gives him sharp claws, strong hands and a fur that also provides some defence. And even above all that it coats his hands with intense heat so much so that it feels like touching lava itself.' thought Instructor Guo then looked towards the corner where Zhi was standing still.

' She's waiting for her opportunity, a hunter doesn't strike when it wants to, it only strikes when it guarantees the death of it's prey. It's a smart tactic to be out of the fight till someone gives an opening that is tough to recover from and strike it down in one fell swoop.

And her first soul skill is suited for just that so she surely knows how to use her abilities to her advantage.

Her first soul skill is known as "Thunder killing" obtained from a thunder attribute leopard; it coats her body with thunder attribute soul power, increasing her reaction speed by 50% and her speed by 100 %.'

Both Yuze and Zimo's eyes grew bigger focusing on the fast approaching fatal attacks towards them.

As Yuze could see the burning hot claws moving towards his chest in an extreme speed he knew either he had to come up with something in time or he'll have to summon his martial spirit.But he didn't want to summon it as it'll mean failing the quest.

'his attack can't be deflected so easily even if i deflect it somehow his other hand is on standby to strike another time and it'll make it impossible for me to stop the second attack.My best bet will be to dodge it and counter attack at the same time.'

Yuze let his body fall on the ground, seeing him fall on the ground Shizi didn't waste time to change the direction of his attack forcefully and his claws came vertically downwards but His eyes grew bigger realising that he messed up and did what Yuze wanted him to. He saw Yuze's body get submerged into the ground.

'It was something like shadow Monarch right, yes shadow I understand now it's the shadow' Shizi realised how Yuze's ability works to a certain degree and then he roared

"I won't let you control me as you like Yuze."

He moved his left leg in the front trying to balance his body and not letting the momentum of earlier strike get wasted by hitting the ground. He clasped his hand into a fist and moved it in a semi circular motion towards his back, where his own shadow was forming knowing full well Yuze will pop out of it.

As Zhi appeared behind Zimo's back

'Uh i messed up i should've just attacked her when she was standing still. I was too greedy. If I let her hit me I'll be knocked out without even giving a proper fight. I can't let that not happen.' Zimo thought within a split second and came to the conclusion that he could do only one thing now.

His first spirit ring flashed and a small arrow appeared in his back instantly. Knowing full well that Zhi's spirit skill improves her reaction speed and she'll easily deflect the arrow if he projected it towards her so he had only one choice left.

Zhi noticed Zimo's spirit ring glow but she wasn't worried that much as she knows how much time it takes Zimo to form an arrow so she was confident that it was enough time for her to knock him out. But she saw a small arrow appear behind Zimo's back instantly and started glowing. She understood what Zimo did and was trying to do.

'shit he decreased the size and energy of the arrow to make it a lot faster.' Zhi thought and without wasting even a moment she kicked the ground below and propelled herself away from Zimo, but it was a little late.
