Place To Stay

Sally parked her bike infront of the complex building, admiring it from where she was seated. It was one of the best residential building in Metropolis and she wanted it. It was close by to the Daily Planet where Lois and Superman were working. It was also a perfect place to spy on them. She got off her bike and took off her helmet before walking to the front door. The door man flashed her a smile before politely opening the door for her.

"I'm looking for a the owner of the building, is he in?" she asked the door man who shook his head.

"You can talk to Carl Summers, room H4 on the eighth floor. He is the building's caretaker," the doorman said. She nodded gratefully at him then headed to the elevator, got in and clicked the eighth floor button, making the elevator lift upwards. It took a couple of minutes to reach the floor and she got out, eyeing the doors' numbers till she found the one. She knocked on it thrice before ageing herself to mid twenties using biokinesis. The door was opened by a man in his early thirties, blonde hair, slightly plump, green eyes, wearing a black Superman logo t-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.

"Can I help you?" he asked her.

"I'm looking for the owner of the building," she said to him.

"The owner is not available. If you want to leave a message, leave it with me," he said, defensively.

"You want to invite me in," Sally suggested using her telepathy. Carl suddenly smiled warmly at her before stepping aside.

"Come inside, welcome," he warmly said, his tone suggesting she was like a long lost friend. Sally just walked right in and she was amaz d by what she was seeing. The apartment was looking good and most definitely had a rich taste in it.

"So, who's the owner of the building?" she asked, taking a seat.

"Her name is Alex Clamentine. She is a close friend of mine," he answered, still smiling.

"How close?" She added a bit of telepathy with the question.

"We might have slept around for a bit and she owed me a favor," Carl answered. "Would you like a drink?"

"I would like for you to call this Clamentine over, I want to have a chat with her," she suggested. Carl nodded, took out his phone and called her. Before the phone was picked up, Sally snatched the phone from his hands. Carl went to snatch it back but she lifted one hand and he was pinned to the ceiling using telekinesis while she simultaneously made the whole apartment soundproof. Why? So that the residential Kryptonian might not hear his muffled screams of protest or his elevated heartbeat and come knocking.

"Hi, Carl, whats up?" a mature wan voice sounded from the other side.

"Carl is hanging out for the moment, Ms Clamentine, if you would like to leave a message I will leave it for him. For now, I have a message for you," She immediately switched on her telepathy. "Bring your lawyers and all the necessary papers for the building Carl is in charge of. Also, bring your bank check, I will need it, understood?"

"Yes. Will that be all?" All though she sounded normal, Sally could hear a difference in her voice.

"Yes, before you hang up, you will bark twice and call yourself a cunt, start now,"

"Woof woof. I am a cunt. Beep" she said and Sally was satisfied. The zero hesitation from the other end made her believe she was not faking it. She would have known if she hesitated.

"Nice, about to get myself a new base of operations," Sally congratulated erself before looking at the man still stuck to the ceiling. "Sleep!" His mind immediately went to sleep mode and she floated him to the floor.

"Thanks for your help, but I got it from here," she chuckled.
