MMORPG: Rebirth Of The Strongest Mage

Everdawn. It was a game that was released to the public in 2025. What made it a hit was that it was the first-ever V.R.M.M.O.R.P.G released to the public. In no time it became the best game in the world. Soon people started to create things called “guilds”. These guilds were like the teams in E-Sports. However, they were more like companies. This was thanks to the game's “money” feature where you could trade in-game money for IRL cash. Elias Thorne was one of the greatest players in Everdawn. With his skills, he was able to be a part of the Valhalla guild however, fearing his power the guild kicked him out but not before stealing his account. However, out of pettiness, they gave him a small item that he had received from one of his first quests. But the next thing he knew he was back in time 14 years before Everdawn was released. With his newfound knowledge of the future, he was going to rise to the top and get revenge on those who betrayed him.

Grinding (4)

Running further into the dungeon I then ran into something I was expecting. As I ran I saw the shadow wolves coming towards me from another direction. Grinning I quickly activated [Fire Blast] causing a chain of loud explosions.

Smiling at that I then felt the ground shake "What the-"

As I tried to figure out what the problem was I noticed 3 pairs of red eyes charging toward me. As they got closer I saw their names.

"Oh come on!"

I had fought many of those things and what made them a pain was their tough hide. With my current level, I doubt I'd be able to just blast them with [Fire Blast].

"Guess that just leaves one option," With that mumbled I activated [Flameforgde] and brought out a bottle filled with blue pills.

I then looked at the boars that were charging toward me. They looked like regular boars with white stripes and red glowing eyes.

Popping the lid I poured the pills in my mouth.

Once I did that flames started coiling around my staff. The flames then condensed to take the shape of a blade. However, soon the red flames started to change color to an orange and then a dark blue. Using [Dash] I appeared above one of the boars.

I then stabbed my staff downward

My MP was draining fast which was thanks to what I was doing. As I previously stated there was a formula for people to use spells without chants however, this was something I had discovered on my own. This allowed me to change the heat and power of my flames but the downside was that it cost a ton of mana.

There was another guy that could do the same thing as me. However, I didn't think he used the same formula as me. This was because of his mana usage as it didn't look like he used a lot of mana as he cast purple and blue fireballs.

I continued to push my staff into the boar's head.

Using [Dash] again I appeared above another before I plunged my staff into its head killing it.

However, I noticed the other boar was charging toward me. While I could've used [Dash] I decided to stand my ground. As the boar charged toward me I quickly thrust my staff forward into the boar's head. However, thanks to the boar's momentum I was pushed back but I was able to raise my staff while the boar's corpse was pixelating in the air.

[You leveled up!]

Letting out a breath I opened the dungeon map.

Looking at my location I realized that I was only a quarter of the way in. With a sigh, I started to make my way further into the dungeon.

Considering this isn't a hidden dungeon anymore I could gain a lot more EXP however, this also meant more players would appear here.

"Let's take advantage of this as much as I can,"

In the girl's, a young girl drom lay on her bed with a VR visor on her head. However, soon her eyelids opened revealing her bright blue eyes. Taking the helmet off of her head she smiled as she looked at the head gear.

Fun.

That was her first thought as she played the game. In her opinion it was a great way to relief stress which she had been accumulating lately.

Her name was Aurora Fraser and she was a freshman at Redwood Polytechnic University. She was currently using her parent's inheritance to pay for university. She also did have a part-time job but she quit a while ago.

The reason for that was because her channel blew up giving lots of revenue. Now what did she post?

Songs.

She was a singer on the platform and recently she had blown up. Of course, she didn't show her face but she did plan on making an avatar later.

Stretching her limbs she thought about the party that she played with. They were close friends and kind people and coincidently they went to the same university as her.

Just as she was putting her helmet away her crappy phone buzzed. Picking it up and looking at the cracked screen she saw a text.

[Hey is this Star Song?]

Replying with a yes she learned the texter was Rebecca the party's damage dealer and trouble maker.

After texting for a bit she realized that it was already midnight "I guess I should go to bed"

"Son of a-"

Before I could react I was launched back into the wall.

*BAM*

[-99 HP]

"Ow," Groaning due to the annoying pinches that were felt all over my front body I looked at the 2 humanoid-like figures.

[Headless Scout lvl 15]

[Headless Scout lvl 16]

The things had armor however, in the place of their head was a simple black flame. In the level 15 scout's hand was a sword while the other had a mace. I was surprised and attacked by the other one and I also didn't have enough time to activate [Dash] so I was hit with the mace.

Slowly getting up I raised my staff causing orbs to appear in the air.

*BOOM*

However, as the explosion happened I didn't get any notifications causing me to curse. The next second I saw a black flame appear in my vision before I activated [Dash] and I disappeared from my spot causing the sword to cleave the air.

The other [Headless Scout] with the mace charged toward me. I quickly activated [Flameforge] before I used [Dash] to appear behind it.

Instead of slashing, I simply thrust my sword in the scout's chest. It let out some sort of cry, however, I quickly activated [Fire Blast] causing the pile of armor to explode into pieces.

[+496 EXP]

Seeing the other one charge toward me I waited before it reached a certain distance before I quickly activated [Magic Barrier].

*BOOM*

However, as the scout's blade it the barrier a loud explosion happened causing me to receive another notification.

[You've Killed [Headless Scout lvl 15]!]

[+451 EXP]

Looking at the loot on the ground I picked up some of the armor and I also picked up the blade and mace.

Turning my head backward I saw that I was close to the door.

I had already made it to the end of the dungeon causing me to check my status window.

Looking at my stats I decided to spend 5 of stat points.

I then spent all of 5 of the stat pointsn vitality.

[Vitality: 32]

[Health: 148/148]

'Hm'

Looking at my health status I was pretty unsatisfied with the amount of health I was getting. It wouldn't be until the second update 4 weeks from now that each vitality stat would change from 2 to 5.

However, there still was a way for me to increase my health permanently and that was the holy water from the church.

That being said I couldn't be like "Yo Mr. Priest man mind giving me a bottle of your finest holy water?"

That was because it was considered a blessing meaning I'd have to do some shitty quest before I could get it.

And considering I was running on a timer it didn't seem like a good idea.

"Ah whatever,"

I then pushed the door open this time only for my face to go slack-jawed.
