First Damage

General Vimes himself led a team towards the top priority target Dean Thomas at his family's high class home. 

When they approached the gate for the driveway the Humvee they rode in did not stop and just plowed down the gates causing the security alarm to go off before the Humvee pulled up in front of the house and the army personnel got out carrying automatic magic tasers. 

Any security personnel that came at them were given one warning and if they did not comply, they were tased and detained to be transported to the detention facility after. 

After which they kicked the front door in and stormed the house going from room to room restraining anybody they found. 

Upstairs they found Dean Thomas hiding in his room behind his bed and another priority target, his father, Malcolm Thomas. 

While Malcolm protested Dean was shivering in fear and was quickly detained. 

On seeing his son being detained Malcolm lost all reasoning with the army personnel and started shouting. 

"WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE COMING INTO MY HOUSE AND DETAINING MY SON?" 

"I WILL HAVE YOUR CAREERS AND YOUR HEADS." 

The shouting went on for several minutes before General Vimes got so annoyed he pulled out a normal magic pistol and shot Malcolm in the leg causing him to collapse. 

Malcolm looked up at the general in shock before saying. 

"You just shot me, that goes against the restriction on the use of force without due cause." 

The general looked him square in the eye before saying. 

"I guess you did not pay attention to the human race punishment announcement where you in a dungeon or something?." 

"What punishment announcement? Malcolm gasped, though he was in pain he did not need to worry about blood loss because the hole that went straight through his leg cauterized as soon as it was made from the magic beam's heat. 

"You people fucked up big time, and all because of this brat." The general said before pointing at Dean who was shaking after seeing his father get shot in the leg. 

"Check your access band and see for yourself." 

At which point Malcolm checked his access band and then played the recent announcement which everyone could hear. 

After hearing the announcement, the color in Malcolm's face drained away as he started to stammer. 

"but... but... but." 

As for Dean he pissed his pants making all the soldiers look at him in an even more disgusted way before the general said to Dean. 

"Boy, if you don't want to get shot like your father, tell me where the credit card is." 

"Credit card?" Dean asked with terror. 

"Are you that stupid? You just heard the announcement and yet you can't put it together, tell me where the credit card is that you have been receiving John Michaels financial support money on." 

"Ratshack?" Dean stammered in shock. 

The general was losing patience because this kid was such an idiot when a soldier on the other side of the room shouted. 

"Sir." 

"What is it?" Vimes asked 

"I have a credit card with the name John Michaels on it from this kids' wallet." 

"Pass it here." Vimes ordered before checking the card number with the one Tia had sent in the file of the most wanted. 

"Confirmed this is the card, we got what we came for, drag them both away to the detention facility." 

After which he used his access band before speaking into it. 

"All teams report in."

After over an hour of walking around John was almost complete with his quest, needing only one more peacebloom. 

He had failed on several occasions when he tried to gather the herbs, normally because he was distracted by a nearby noise thinking it was a dangerous animal. 

As he was walking along, he saw what looked like a small bunch of herbs gathered together by the stream. 

The herb was a strange greenish yellow color with black spots on it and he decided to inspect it.

(Hmm it's not on my quest list but maybe I can gather some for Mossy as a thank you for the help she showed me.) John thought. 

Approaching the stranglekelp John pulled out his trowel and attempted to gather them.

In the bunch there were eight Stranglekelp of which John managed to gather five successfully. 

"Not too bad." He said with a proud smile before heading off to look for his final Peacebloom. 

After about ten more minutes, he finally found what he was looking for though it was not only Peacebloom that was there but another herb also. 

This herb looked like some sort of strange root, and he originally thought that's what it was, but after inspecting it to make sure he found he was wrong.

"If it's so common, why have I only seen it now? I mean I'm in a damn forest." 

Just then there was movement from a bush just to the side of where the herbs were. 

A moment later a white rabbit jumped out of the bush and went towards the herbs and started to gather some. 

John looked at the rabbit before deciding to use inspect on it.

"WHAT THE FUCK" John shouted in surprise looking at the rabbits' stats as it was only a level one monster. 

"How the fuck does a rabbit have higher attack power and endurance than me?" 

John figured he would ask someone later after he completed his quest, so he headed towards the peacebloom he needed. 

The rabbit that was alerted to his presence after his shout watched him carefully and started to crouch down as he got closer. 

Just when John expected the rabbit to run away it did the opposite and hurled itself right at his chest.

After getting hit in the stomach John fell back on his ass and looked at the rabbit in shock. 

"Ow" he said after a moment of registering the pain. 

While Genesis did not give 100% pain immersion as that would be dangerous the default was set to 20% and people could change it if they wanted to, though they could not go higher than 50%.
