Mine at First Scent

"Please, His majesty awaits you," the butler stood at the side of the double doors, gesturing for her to go in. He wanted her to come in?!! Elaina gulped nervously. She had gotten a glimpse of the people in there when the butler entered and she could tell that they were all high class, she wouldn't even be surprised if members of the upper echelon were in there too. But, the problem wasn't the people but how she was dressed. Elaina slowly entered the large hall, her eyes trained on the ground. She could feel his intense gaze on her and many other curious gazes. She subtly pinched the sides of her joggers, to divert her attention from the looks she was receiving. She didn't like being the center of attention, it turned her into a nervous wreck! Mael sat at the head of the table his dark hawk-like gaze watched her like a predator watching his prey and when she came to stand beside him, Sit," he ordered. Elaina reached out to the chair on his side and a maid quickly came to help her pull it back when they heard Mael speak, "Who told you to sit there?" he demanded making both Elaina and the maid pause. Elaina turned to look at him, confusion evident in her black eyes. Did he want her to sit on the floor? A smirk curved up his lips then he moved his chair back a little and tapped his lap. "Sit right here," Elaina's and many others eyes widened and the sound of clattering cutlery echoed through the hall. He wanted her to do what?!

Please your father

Elaina woke up next on a bed in a dimly lit room. Her body didn't hurt as much as she expected it to but her head did. She tried to place her hand on her head but it never came. Her eyes widened when she heard the rustling of chains and she finally noticed. Her hands and legs were bound by chains hanging from the four corners of the bed.

She tried pulling them but the chains didn't budge. This was it, her long journey had finally come to an end. Her eyes watered, all her efforts had been in vain. The door clicked and her eyes shot to it as it opened and in came her buyer. He held a book in his hands and was reading from it as he closed the door behind him.

"A phoenix's body is a vault of treasures," he read aloud while walking toward her.

"Born from flames, they are the very embodiment of fire. Their fiery hair and eyes are a great indicator of their superiority. Although, they are made from flames, their fresh and supple skin is as smooth as the pearls at the bottom of the ocean, and their beauty rivals those of the mermaids, the creatures of beauty.

Their lustrous hair outshines even the finest of silk and their eyes shine as brilliant as the sun. Their tears possess healing powers, powerful enough to heal the most severe of injuries and the power flowing in their blood can bring even the dead back to life,"

Elaina's breathing labored when the man stood beside her and she made eye contact with him before he continued reading.

"Superior creatures with unparalleled beauty and power, they would be considered the epitome of perfection if not for the double-edged nature of their power. Flames hot enough to harm the very embodiment of fire, tread with caution when dealing with these creatures who can't handle their own heat," he closed the book and dropped it on a bedside table.

Elaina trembled as she watched the man, he was going to kill her now and use her body for whatever he wanted.

She flinched when the man grabbed her face, "Tch," The right side of her face was covered with her hair, it almost felt programmed. He pushed all the hair away and turned her face from left to right, "They're gone," The marks he left with his nails were all gone, her skin was silky smooth.

He turned her face to his, forcing her to keep eye contact. All his attention was on her right eye, it really was the color of the phoenixes. She partially fitted into the descriptions in the book.

Fiery colored eyes, smooth skin, and healing abilities, but the same couldn't be said about her hair. It was as black as the night sky and she also didn't emanate the fiery intensity the phoenixes were said to emanate. He had a lot of questions but she was just an oblivious little thing.

He noticed that she had broken out into cold sweats so he smiled.

"Do not worry, child," he placed his hand on her head, "I won't hurt you, all you will feel is pleasure until I have use of the power flowing through your veins,"

Phoenix or not she was still a slave he bought and there was still time before the eclipse so he would enjoy her till then.

He opened a drawer beside the bed and brought out a cloth, "Daughters should know how to please their fathers, don't you agree?" he questioned as he tied the rope tightly around her mouth.

Her eyes widened when he got on top of the bed and positioned himself in between her legs. She let out muffled screams, trashed, and swung her arms and legs as far as the chains allowed, ignoring the dull pain in her knees. The man tried to pin her legs down but she didn't let him. He sighed, "This won't do,"

He got down from the bed and went back to the drawer, where he brought out an injection and Elaina's heart stopped when she saw the tip of the needle glisten.

She struggled harder but the man grabbed her arm and injected her with the clear liquid.

After a few seconds, it started to take effect. Her eyelids relaxed and she lost all the power to move. It was a drug that switched her voluntary muscles off.

"Much better, isn't it?" the man asked with a smile as he got back on the bed. "Please your father, Elaina. Show me the fiery intensity buried within you," the chains rustled as he lifted her knees and positioned himself in the middle of her legs.

He ran his hands up her legs slowly, feeling the smooth texture of her skin while tears slipped out of Elaina's eyes, She tried to move but her actions only took place in her head. A figure flashed in front of her eyes and she stretched out to it, desperately pleading, 'Save me. Save me, please'

The man was about to pull off his shirt when he noticed something shiny on her neck. 'Was that a chain?' he asked himself. The gown she was in, was a round-necked one so he hadn't noticed. She was skilled at hiding, he would give her that.

He leaned forward in an attempt to take it but knocks sounded on the door before it opened and the butler entered the room. His right eye was wrapped in bandages that went around his head.

"What do you want?" He snapped without turning to look at him.

"You have an urgent visitor, master,"

"Who is it?"

"He didn't specify, but he says he has an important message to deliver from the elite society," the butler answered.

A member of the elite society with an important message? "Tch," the man got down from the bed and walked out of the room without sparing a glance at his slave.
