MHA: The Water Swordsman

Giyu Tomioka, The Blade Hero: Tempest ———————————— I wonder if I would ever notice water, had I been born in the oceans with fins for limbs. I suppose then it would have been my air and I would have moved within it more easily than a bird in the sky. As it is, I would love to dive within those salty formless arms and feel the freedom it gives, transparent and blue, soft and strong. ——————————————— I apologise if the events aren’t accurate time wise, if I say a specific number of days but that isn’t actually the case, just know that events will all still be in order ——————————————— Just Giyu Tomioka in MHA what’s else? I hope you enjoy this, the MC won’t be apart of UA class 1-A, he’s gonna be a hero. He will be 21, 22 as of chapter 14 onwards, and yeah, there may be flash backs ——————————————— If after reading this and still want to see some r-18 let me know and I might find a way to have some ——————————————— I’m gonna use some famous quotes and speeches as well so let’s see if you can spot them! ——————————————— Disclaimer: Everything I use in this fanfic belongs to their respective owners

A Real Friend Is One Who Walks In When The Rest Of The World Walks Out

150K reads. Appreciated

Never thought people would enjoy reading what I am doing and I'm really glad that you are sticking along for the ride with me as the author

:)

~~~Giyu POV~~~
I open my eyes slowly with a groan. Light instantly hits me as I squint to block it out as to not blind myself. I went to block it with my arm, just to notice that it was missing. I had gotten too used to having my left arm there that it became instinct even knowing that it is gone. In substitution, I bring up my right arm to block it out instead
"Tomioka," I heard Nezu say, the eyes adjusting to the light finally allowing me to look up and see him across a table
"Where am I?" I asked him
"We're at ******** hospital. I trust that you won't be making a huge uproar and you'll be cooperative. The top heroes are also all here," He answered me
"And…Sabito? Please tell me. Where is he? Tell me where he is," I questioned, not wanting to admit that what happened prior was just a dream
"He's…dead, Tomioka," Nezu told me
I bite my bottom lip as tears threaten to leave my eyes, "God…dammit,"
"Tomioka, I understand that what has happened must be so painful for you, but we need you to tell us what happened in detail," Nezu said to me
"Right…right, of course," I said to him
I gave him a rundown of what had happened in my four months of being missing. I gave a very brief explanation, only going into detail when required. I didn't want to be talking about everything right now. I just want to be alone. Alone for however long I want
"Tomioka," Nezu spoke out loud in shock, "I'm…sorry, I failed as a principal…and I failed as someone you thought me out to be," He said
"NO!" I shouted, pausing for a moment, "No, Nezu no, even after everything…I know you've done so much for me. As a principle and…as…as a friend of mine," I struggled to say, my eyes became blurry with tears
"I see…that's good, Tomioka. I just want to let you know that, even if you feel alone…you do have people here for you," He said to me
I looked down to my lap, my arm covering my face as I gave him no response. I heard a door open on the right as steps resounded, closing in on where we sat
"Be well Tomioka," Nezu said getting down from his chair walking toward the door
"Giyu…" I heard a voice say; A voice that I have been dying to hear for almost the past 7 years that my heart almost stopped at its sound
I darted my head up and saw her…Makomo. She was still just as beautiful as when I last saw her. She had grown slightly, still keeping her petite appearance, slight bags under her eyes as her they were puffy and red
"Makomo…" I said in a small sob, "Why?…What?"
"I saw the video on TV," she began, "On my way to the hospital I had seen the second one, of what truly happened back then with this 'All For One. And with Sabito…and what you have had to do," she said to me
My face crumpled under the weight of my sadness at her words. My body retreating further into the chair at the thought of her seeing me like that. I wouldn't care how many people had seen me like that on TV…but Makomo? Anyone but her seeing me like that
"I'm sorry, I may not be able to forgive you for what you've done so I don't expect you to be able to forgive me but…I'm sorry," she said to me, my mind and heartfelt like they had been cleaned of a large weight as she continued, "I saw what I saw and…it hurt. When you killed him…even if it was of no fault of your own…I didn't listen to you. I completely abandoned you without giving you a second chance,"
"No you're wrong…you're wrong. You had all the right to do so," I said, "If you stayed with me then you probably would have been hurt as well…everyone who is near me ends up being hurt, so if there is anyone I don't want to hurt…it's you Makomo. Anyone but you," I told her, looking straight up and into her eyes
"Giyu," she said, "I think you're making excuses to cut yourself off,"
My breath hitched and a gripped the armrest of the chair tighter
"When I arrived here and they heard of who I was…you couldn't count on the finger of 10 people the number of concerned people there was for you. You may not realise that there are people around this country that look up to you," she said, "He can come in,"
The door opened again and I looked to my right to see a small boy holding an action figure of me in his small hands. I don't know what it was but I felt like I was connected to him…like I wanted to go over to him and make sure he's okay and wipe that nervous look off his face
"Mummy, you said we would be coming to see Daddy…where is he?" The boy said
Huh? Mummy?…What?
Makomo = Mummy?
Coming to see Daddy? Makomo came to see me
So…Me = Daddy?
"Giichi, this here is your Daddy, Giyu Tomioka," Makomo said gently with a warm smile
I stopped all bodily function for a moment. I eventually take a hitched breathe as I looked over to the little boy that had his head turned towards me. His fingers fiddled with his action figure as he twirled on his heels slightly
I was frozen. My chest became warm as I smile crept onto my lips as I stared at nothing in particular
The bo- My son, Giichi, stayed by Makomo as he said, "Daddy? Tempest is my Daddy?"
"That's right sweety," Makomo responded looking down at him
"Makomo- I- What- You…I thought you had aborted or…or put it up for adoption," I said
"Not 'it' Giyu, 'he'…'Giichi'…your son," she said, going from angry to smiling happily
"You'll never guess who he wants to be…" Makomo began to say to me, "Tempest!" She said laughing slightly in irony, "He knows a hero when he sees one. There are quite a few characters out there…flying around…but not all do what you do for him. And lord knows, kids like Giichi need a hero. Courageous, self-sacrificing people. Setting examples for all of us. Everybody loves a hero. People line up for them. Cheer them. Scream their names. And years later they'll tell how they stood in the rain for hours…just to get a glimpse at the one who taught them to HOLD ON a second longer," Makomo spoke to me slowly as I looked down at the floor, taking in everything she said
"I believe there's a hero in all of us. That keeps us honest. Gives us strength. Makes us noble. And finally allows us to die with pride. Even though sometimes we…have to be steady and…give up the thing we want the most. Even our dreams," She said, reaching over she grabbed my hand with both of hers as it rested on the table
"Tempest did that for Giichi and…he wonders where he's gone…he needs him," she finished as I looked up to her, my mind is cleared and my heart settling
"He needs him but not as a hero this time…this time he needs him as a father, to look up to him and know that…that's his Daddy," she said smiling beautifully at me as I heard little patters hit the floor
Suddenly, a small warmth embraced my leg as I looked down to see my son hugging me. His action figure was sprawled on the floor as he clung to me
I looked over to Makomo as she gave a reassuring nod. I wrapped my single arm around Giichi by his waist and lifted him from my leg, placing him to the ground as I got down to my knees and went to level height with him
"Hey…Giichi, son, I'm your Da-" My words were cut off as he jumped into my chest, his hair brushing against my chin as he wriggled around
In response, I hugged him back, embracing my
son for the first time in my life as my body felt warm for the second time in years…for the second time just today
I laughed and cried at the same time as I cheered, "My son! I've got a son! Giichi!" I continued to cry as we both continued hugging each other
We eventually separated from each other as he looked up to me with a huge beaming smile, "Daddy!" He shouted
I smiled back at him, ruffling his hair as he continued to cheer, "Mummy! It's Daddy! I've finally met Daddy!"
I picked him up with my one arm, sitting down and placing him on my lap as I sat across from Makomo once again
"He wanted to grow up with his male role model. I find it ironic they were both the same person," she said laughing, wiping some tears from her eyes
"It must have been so hard for you…Makomo, all on your own, looking after a son for so long," I said to her, looking down to my son who also looked back up to me
"I couldn't abandon him. When I saw him, I fell in love with him instantly. Looking in front of me now, it's like looking at the past and present at the same time," she told me
Some time passed and we talked about everything we've been doing. It felt so refreshing. It was the first normal conversation I've had for years. I felt so happy and there was nothing that could take this away from me
"Tomioka," Nezu said as he entered the room, "I'm sorry to disturb but…I'm sure some people are expecting you to be okay, the heroes here I mean, they don't want to believe you've fallen into villainy, so…show them that you are here, please?"
I looked over to Makomo and she gave me a small nod and a smile. I gave a small smile back and go to my feet, setting Giichi to the floor
"Alright, who are the main heroes here?" I asked him
"The top three heroes, Jeanist, Hawks and Endeavor; Sole students are here, along with some other heroes that have taken heavy beatings," he explained to me
"Alright," I stood up and began to walk to the door, "I'll have to change into some clothes first,"
I stopped, looking back to Giichi and said, "Hey son…how do you feel about meeting some heroes?" His smile grew massive as he ran over to me, jumping into my arm as he wrapped his arms around my neck, hugging me tightly
~~~General POV~~~

It was getting early morning when the top heroes had heard that Tempest had arrived at the Hospital. They were nervous. Worried. Concerned

For All Might he was glad and relieved

For Hawks, he was nervous but expectant

For Best Jeanist, he was also relieved and was wanting to speak with his comrade who he had not seen

For Endeavor, he was also hoping for a small conversation

(BTW, I realised that in one chapter I said that Endeavor, All Might, Best Jeanist and Hawks had all talked about One For All and they were interrupted by the showing of Giyu on the TV for a second time

In fact, Endeavor wasn't there, he was still on his hospital bed whereas the other three were talking about One For All, so just know that Endeavor is still with his family in the hospital room and the other three had finished speaking about One For All)

Endeavor was still on his hospital bed. His family were all in the same room as him. He was glad to hear that Tempest had survived his ordeals and made it here to the hospital

"I'm back with some food for everyone!" Fuyumi Todorki shouted to her family as she entered the hospital room

Natsuo walked over to where she placed down the food and helped her sort it into sets, "Shoto! Cold soba right?" He asked

"That's right," Shoto responded to him shortly, going back to staring out the window

They eventually had all sorted out their food, all of them eating their breakfast in silence

"Shoto, is your food okay?" Rei asked her son as he put down his half-full bowl

"Yes, I'm just not feeling like eating it ri-" *KNOCK* *KNOCK* Shotos words were cut off from two knocks on their hospital door

"Who is it?" Enji, The number one hero Endeavor, spoke up

"Endeavor? It's Tomioka," A muffled voice said from outside the door

All of the family's head flashed back remembering the two videos that they saw three days ago and last night

"Come in," Enji said to him

The handle on the door shifted as it opened slowly, revealing Giyu Tomioka, Tempest, as he took a step into the room

"Endeavo- Oh! Hello, my name is Giyu Tomioka," he said, bowing slightly, noticing the distinct amount of people in the room

"Hello," "Hi," "Nice to meet you," A chorus of greetings left the Todoroki family left their mouths

"Anyway…Endeavor, I heard that you are a father," he said

This caused a few strained looks across the family as Natsuo thought in his head:

'Did you not see the video that has been going around!!! Wait- Oh yeah, never mind'

"I am," Enji replied calmly, trying to ignore his family's stares

"Well…" Giyu dragged on his words as a smaller version of him poked his head around the corner, slowly but surely trodding his was into the room, hiding behind his father's legs

"Do you have any advice?" Giyu asked getting straight to the point

Lovely stuff boys

Giyu went to Endeavor of all people for fatherly advice…oh the irony
