MHA: The Quirk Engineer

Follow the story of Raiko Shuzenzi, whose quirk allows him to create other quirks, as he breaks record and becomes unbelivably strong. MHA fanfic where the MC has a quirk that allows him to create other quirks. MC will be OP, but not absurdly so, at least not in the beginning. THis is also my first fanfic, so if you see any mistakes or have any suggestions, I'm interested. There will be romance...maybe

Chapter 32 – Accepted!

Kyotaka's POV

One Week Later

It has been one week since U.A.'s entrance exam and since then, nothing had really happened, I had continued to train and each day, I hoped to see a letter from U.A. in my mailbox. I wasn't really stressed to know if I passed, I know that I passed, but I was anxious to know which rank I had gotten.

Maybe there was a really good participant that got even more points than me!

Would Knockout be disappointed? Probably, he personally trained me for months after all. And if I didn't get first place… Maybe someone destroyed to 0-pointer and that got him first place! Should I have destroyed it as well? Looking back, I probably could've had if I went "Plus Ultra".

Argh…Maybe…

My train of thoughts was interrupted when my mom shouted:

"Taka, Taka, U.A.'s letter is here! Come!"

I ran to where my mom was and snatched the letter from her hand before running up the stairs to my bedroom.

My bedroom was pretty plain, there were a couple of musical instruments and no Knockout merch…Not at all. I absolutely didn't have a full closet of Knockout merch and the mask he had signed me in a glass display. I don't know what you're talking about…

I closed my bedroom's doom and then quickly opened the letter. Inside of it was a strange metal device, a projector apparently, because as soon as it got out of the envelope, a projection of All Might appear, along with his booming voice,

"Young Kyotaka! I am in projection to announce the result of your entrance exam!"

"Yes, I will be a teacher at U.A.!"

"On the written exam, you did more than fine, you did splendidly, getting second place!"

"But that's not all, were you truly excelled was the practical exam, where, through a splendid use of your quirk, you earned yourself 94 villain points!"

"That enough would be able to get you first place!"

"But there is more! There were also another type of point, rescue points, that you could earn behaving heroically! Throughout the entire exam, you sometimes helped other examinees in a true heroic fashion. But were you truly shined was when, it the face of overwhelming danger, you kept your cool and prioritized the rescue of others over your own safety. Needless to say, we were all very impressed by you."

"Those actions granted you another 56 points, putting you at 150 points! It is five less that I got when I entered U.A. and the third highest score of all time! Obviously, you placed first, more than doubling the person in second place!"

"You should be proud of yourself, young Kyotaka!"

"Because this is YOUR hero academia. Welcome to U.A."

When the projection finished, my heart was beating wildly in my chest, "I did it, I got first place", I thought. Though, maybe I went a bit overboard, I more than doubled second place after all, he only got 77 points, none of them being rescue points.

I was so happy, and quite proud of myself. After all, I only got 5 points than All Might himself. And I guess the second-highest score of all time must be Endeavor, he went to U.A. as well after all. Still, those were the number 1 and 2 heroes. And I nearly got as many points as them!

I screamed in my pillow for a minute or two in pure happiness. I bet Knockout will be impressed, 150 points!

After a few minutes, my mom knocked into my door.

"Dear, are you all right? Did you pass? I know that you trained very hard for this, but even if you didn't pass, we're still very proud of you."

I opened the door and excitedly replied to her:

"I passed Mom, I passed! And I got first place! My score was only 5 less than All Might himself! The third highest of all time! I got into U.A.!"

"Ahhh! I'm sooooo proud of you! We gotta celebrate, my baby got into U.A.! We're going out tonight."

The Next Day

Even though yesterday I didn't have training, Knockout gave me a day off, but today, we would resume training, so I had to wake up a 4 in the morning. There was only a month remaining before the school year would start, and we had to make the best of it.

I met with Knockout at our usual meeting place, which wasn't an abandoned warehouse anymore, but a private beach. It was really beautiful at dawn, when he usually trained me, the sun reflecting on the water painting it a plethora of warm colors.

I saw Knockout already waiting by close to the water. I sometimes wondered if he even slept at all, but I guess he slept during the day.

He was, as always, dressed in his Vigilante outfit, a reinforced black bodysuit with a helmet, that I knew was fireproof, bulletproof, acid proof, absorbed shocks and had a coupe of other functions. He had a gas mask and goggles included in his helmet, so his entire skin was covered, it was impossible to know something except his height and general shape about his appearance.

Speaking of that, it was possible to see the faint outline of his muscles, but (sadly), his costume wasn't very skintight…

When I saw him, I immediately shouted:

"I did it, I did it! I got first place! 150 points! You know, that's the…

"Third highest score of all time, behind All Might and Endeavor, I never doubted you would pass and get first place, but, I must say, you impressed me. You really wanted to win…" He interrupted me, but I could hear that he was proud and happy in his voice.

He probably had one of his rare smiles on his face, but I regrettably couldn't see it, as his face was covered by his costume.

"Well…I kinda wanted to make sure I got first place..." I replied in a small voice, bashfully smiling.

I was generally a pretty composed and calm person, but I was really happy right now, so I allowed myself to go out of character a bit. I was also curious about the second clue he would give me, but I was most happy about the fact that he trusted me enough to reveal his identity to me.

"As promised", he spoke again, "I need to give you another clue about my identity, don't I?"

I waited for him to continue

"I'm also at U.A.", he revealed.

"What! So you let me have first place in the exam? Unless you were recommended…"I wondered out loud.

I was pretty surprised that the most wanted Vigilante in Japan would go at U.A, but I guess did kinda make sense if he wanted to quit being a Vigilante and become a legit hero.

I also thought about the person that explained the exam to us, but I quickly discarded him because he was a teacher and didn't look fifteen at all. Also, he didn't speak the same way and had different mannerisms than Knockout., those subtle gestures and reflexes that are unique to everyone, that define them.

"And since you really impressed me, I'll give you another clue…" Knockout said, taking off his goggles for a brief moment, but it was still enough for me to realize that he had solid blue eyes.

I think I would be able to recognize him now if I saw him, after all, there weren't a lot of people that had a muscular frame, blue eyes, were between 6'2" and 6'5' and went to U.A.

"Obviously, I don't think I need to say that when you will learn who I am, you absolutely need to keep it a secret, put those acting skills I taught you to use, otherwise, the consequences for everyone would be pretty bad", he warned me.

Of course, I would keep it a secret, he had entrusted me with his most important secret, and I would prove that it wasn't a bad decision to trust me.

After this short discussion, we started my training, there was still a month before U.A., and I needed to use it. I usually trained everyday, Knockout rarely gaving me a day off. When he did give one, it was never more than one in a row, because, in his opinion, if you took more than a day off at a time, next thing you knew, it had been a week since you had done any training. Having a routine was the key against procrastination.

And thus, the last month before U.A. passed in the blink of an eye.

Guys, if we finish in the top 50 in the power rankings this week, I’ll drop an extra chap or two, depending on how many I have stockpiled. So send power stones...pls

There will be a couple of chapters in Kyotaka’s POV, cause I like to do them. Also, she is the love interest, if anyone was wondering.

Also, the story is now 50k words!! I’m quite proud of myself (:

I honestly didn't think I would get that far when I started this fic.
