Sudden Interest
Mei brought Bullet to her workshop as he was helping Mio wash dishes. Mio smiled gently at him and he smiled shyly, washing the dishes before being dragged away by Mei. He was stunned and quickly put the plate down.
Mio giggled and waved at him saying "Thank you, Bullet~" Bullet smiled slightly and nodded, disappearing around a corner.
Mei snorted smoke and raged, "That damn vixen! Who does she think she is callin' you a freak! I should skewer her alive and let flesh eating robots devour her toes!" Bullet was startled and said worriedly "Aunt… Bullet say too much. Not good. Family important." Mei hugged him while walking, kissing his face, "You're so cute, I just love it! Such a sweet guy, I bet our marriage will be smooth sailing! HAHAHA! OF COURSE IT WILL BECAUSE IF YOU LEAVE ME, I'LL KILL YOU! AHAHAHAH! STUFF YOU IN A JAR AND LOOK AT YOU EVERY DAY! AHAHAH!"
She kicked her workshop room door open and walked inside. Bullet kicked it closed, pressing gently with his foot. Mei tossed him onto a sofa, jumping on him, pouting "She was really rude! I'm sorry. Don't listen to her, she's just a loser."
Bullet shook his head, "Family important. Just because mean doesn't mean Mei no like. Bullet wish he have family." Mei laughed and kissed him, saying "YOU DO! IT'S ME!" before rolling off the sofa and picking up the boxes Kizuki gave her.
She shook them and snorted, tearing them open.
Mei looked at the bracelets inside and touched them before they unraveled into support gear. Mei tilted her head, "Detnerat gear? Interesting! But so disgusting! Who would use such ugly gear?! Probably that blue loser! AHAHAHA!" Bullet looked at the gear curiously, "Cool?"
Mei sneered, "Cool? TRASH! LOOK AT THIS INHUMAN DESIGN! BLEH! MAKE ME FEEL LIKE A CULT FOLLOWER! BLEH BLEH BLEH! I'LL DISMANTLE THIS AND STEAL THE KNOWLEDGE BEFORE MAKING SOMETHING 100 NO- A SEXTILLION TIMES BETTER! AHAHAHAH!" she turned to Bullet and smiled cutely "Would you like to be the proud recipient of my first new line of Support Gear?"
Bullet nodded happily and she kissed him, leaning away "AHAH! MY HEART! IT'S CORRODING FROM THE CUTENESS! AHA!" before looking at him with happily squinted eyes, saying gently "This new line is called Bullet Series." Bullet tilted his head and said "Making bullets?"
Mei giggled and said "NO!" before slapping him, "I named it after you!" Bullet was shocked "WHAT!? AFTER BULLET?!" Mei nodded sweetly "Of course! You're my precious baby!" Bullet didn't know what to say, he smiled happily "Cool." Mei hugged him and rolled around before going to her workstation and dismantling the Detnerat Equipment.
Bullet stayed with Mei for a while until they had to leave.
Bullet bowed deeply to her parents, "Sorry! Bullet made a mess." Mio rolled her eyes and pinched his nose, "Don't worry about it, silly boy." Kei nodded and chuckled, "You're always welcome here." Bullet looked up and smiled shyly, Mio smiled sweetly and squished his cheeks, grinning "Come back, soon, 'kay?!" Bullet nodded excitedly, "Okay!"
Kei patted his shoulder saying "Take care of Mei, okay?" Bullet nodded seriously, "Always." Kei and Mio smiled happily and Mei pulled his arm, saying "Come on, come on! Bye, mortals!" as she waved goodbye to her parents.
The duo walked away and Mio sighed sadly "She used to never want to leave… Waaah! My baby's all grown up!" as she threw herself into Kei's arms. He hugged her and snorted, smiling gently as he stroked her back, "She didn't even look back…" before sighing.
Mio looked up at him, saying excitedly "Kei! Let's have another one!" Kei coughed violently before laughing loudly walking back inside the house, closing the door behind him as he put Mio on his shoulder.
Bullet and Mei walked in the night, Mei hugged his arm and laughed "AHAHA! Thanks for coming. They really like you!" Bullet blushed in embarrassment, muttering "Ah… Bullet hope so." he suddenly frowned and pulled out a gun, pressing it on the forehead of a guy passing by him.
The guy chuckled, "Good reflexes." Bullet said coldly "Who are you?" The man smiled and handed him a card saying "Our Boss would like to speak with you." Bullet looked at the card and Mei peeked, "Detnerat? What a coincidence."
Bullet pulled her back and looked at the man, frowning "Why." The man simply smiled and didn't reply. Bullet took the card with his metal arm and a bright laser vaporized it as he looked at the man, saying slowly "Bullet no Quirk, Boss of big Support company want to talk? Not very convincing. Who are you." as he pulled the hammer back.
The man smiled worriedly and his hands started changing, Bullet held Mei and pushed the gun hard on his forehead, shoving him back. Bullet looked at him flatly, "Speak before you can't anymore." The man swallowed with a smile, replying "He only said that he wanted to talk to you. He's the Boss, how am I supposed to know what he's thinking? I wouldn't even dream of it!"
Bullet frowned and said "You find me, how?" the man didn't answer this time. Bullet pushed him down to the ground with the gun, adding "Bullet bad habit. Very twitchy fingers." Mei tugged on Bullet's sleeve worriedly and he snorted as the man swallowed, shaking his head.
Bullet exhaled smoke from his nose and said "Bullet see you near that house, this girl, or me again… No questions next time." the man nodded and Bullet turned his hand over, adding "You have another card? Give." the man let out a breath of relief, putting a hand in his gun holding hand, smiling "Thanks! Sorry for the abrupt meeting! The Boss just really wanted to see you. I don't know much about it."
Bullet put the gun in the back of his pants, nodding as he said "Leave." the man dusted himself off and walked away quickly.
Bullet handed the card to Mei while watching the man leave with a frown.
That guy wasn't normal… The look in his eyes when he said 'Boss' is almost at the level of religious worship… There was something wrong with the Boss of Detnerat…
Mei looked at him quietly, asking "Were you going to kill him?" Bullet let out a breath and frowned, replying "Bullet tell you the truth. If someone like this comes near you, Bullet will kill them all. This person and the Boss, not good people. I can smell it…"
He grabbed Mei's hand and walked away, saying "Look in eye, very suspicious. Bullet see very bad people with same look. Mei…" he frowned slightly, adding softly "Bullet kill a lot of people already. Bullet can't even remember how many, no innocent but… Still killed!"
He tightened his metal hand, swallowing as he felt nothing from it. No warmth, nothing at all. She held the metal hand before walking to the other side and grabbing his other hand, he turned to her and she smiled "It's alright."
Bullet swallowed and asked sadly "No scared?" Mei thought about it before shaking her head, "Maybe I might've been before…" then she laughed, "But I care about you too much. I think maybe even if you became a villain, I would still love you! Hahaha!" Bullet froze and looked at her in a daze.
She smiled slightly, muttering "What does that say about me? Hah…" she shook her head and grinned, "Come on! HAHAH! WHO CARES ABOUT THESE DAMN WORMS! I'LL TRAMPLE THEM ALL AHAHAHAAHAH!" Mei jumped on him and hung from his neck, swinging side to side as she burst out laughing.
Bullet hugged her, making her stop as he whispered "Thank you… mean more than you know." Mei smiled gently, kissing him as she replied "Didn't I say we'd be together forever? I meant it, you know!" Bullet sighed and moved her to his back, holding her thighs as he said "Bullet maybe save the world before to find Mei. So lucky."
Mei giggled and nuzzled him, laughing "AHAHHA! YOU FINALLY REALIZED! YES, YOU WORM! THIS GOD TOOK INTEREST IN YOU! AHAHAHAHA! KNEEL! BARK! WOOF! AHAHAHAHA!" while kissing his cheek.
Bullet smiled happily and hummed to himself, walking back to the train station, going back to school.
