[U.A recommendation program, candidates please report here]

Standing infront of the gigantic U.A building Neji released a deep breath and stepped forward.

For the past 7 months he has pushed his body through physical and mental limits for this day.

Entering the building he and the others were escorted to a big room, which was mostly empty as the number of students taking the recommendation exam was only 24.

The lights all dimmed out and a single spot light was shinned at the stage, there stood a figure with a square head and grey skin, "Hello everyone, Welcome to U.A hero recommendation exam, I am pro hero and U.A teacher cementos and i will be briefing you about your exam".

"your recommendation exam is divided into 3 parts: Written, Physical and interview."

"the Written part will take place in this hall right after this briefing, it will be a 1 ½ hour objective and subjective paper on hero laws, general studies, Moral studies, Literature, Middle school Mathematics and Middle school science"

Neji nodded his head listening to the cube'd guy, all this was general information, which was already provided in the recommendation letter.

"After your written exam, all candidates will be escorted to the indoor stadium 2 for your physical examination, what will be your physical examination will be disclosed there, a hero should be ready for anything "

"and lastly your interview, after a half an hour break all the candidates will be one by one interviewed by principal Nezu personally, remember that the points are given according to the ratio 3:4:3, meaning written and Interview have 3 parts each and the physical is 4 parts of the total score, that is all on my part, your answer sheets and question paper will be provided at 7 o' clock sharp, thank you"

The lights lit back on and walls started emerging between seats.

[your exam starts on 7, please stay seated and wait, you are being monitored]

A robotic voice sounded throughout the room.

The room which was like a saminar room suddenly become filled with small cubicles.

when the clock hit 7 the desk infront of Neji opened a compartment where he found a question paper, an answer sheet to write his answers and a blue pen.

....

(1½ hour later)

After the written exam all the candidates were escorted to a large indoor stadium, At the centre of which was a big platform with a few screens.

"What's up Everybody!! welcome to my live performance!!! make some noise!!!"

...

"YEEEAAAHHH!!! I got shivers down my spine!!, so listen examinees, I will give you the low-down of how this'll go down! are you ready!!?" There standing in the middle of the platform in all his loud glory was none other than voice hero Present mic!

...

Neji took a deep breath and braced for a few minutes of ear pearcing explanation, he never was a big fan of long drawn explanations and speeches, more so if you add deafening volume to it.

Looking around he found a lot of his fellow examinees had similar expressions, barring a select few.

The tall and well built guy with buzzed, dark brown hair and black eyes had a silly goofy smile on his face, he was practically radiating positive energy.

Besides him was the serious looking fella, with bi-colored hair, a burn scar and heterotrophic eyes.

There was a guy constantly trying to talk to the tall girl who was listening intently to whatever present mic was saying, he had roctet propellers on his elbows, causing him to keep his arms at odd angle making him look like a jammed robot.

As Neji was studying the type of challenge he was against Mic was already over with his talk.

The physical exam was nothing more than an over complicated race.

you have to complete it using your quirks, pass obstacles and display creative use of your quirk.

The race was divided into 3 parts.

part 1 is a complex obstacle course comprising of a maze,a long tunnels, and an underwater area.

part 2 is a feild filled with Ectoplasms, you had to eliminate the clone to move forward, part 2 is the only part where use of quirk for offense is allowed.

part 3 is a good 'ol race, with a straight track.

Nodding to himself he listened to the last of what present mic had to say.

"Remember, you are not allowed to use your quirk offensively at any part of the race other than the second part, ya hear me!?, now get ready because the main event is starting!! you all got a number at the end of the previous exam!? they are the 4 groups, only 1 examinee will pass from each group at the end of the interviews, meaning total 4 students, Good luck listeners, you gonna need it!"

Looking at the paper slip he was given he saw 2, meaning he was in the second group, The rocket guy was also in his group given by his loud complains about not being in the 1st.

"1st group assemble!! everyone else, get on the platform!!"

Neji joined others as he moved to the platform at the centre of the huge indoor stadium.

He stood next to the tall guffy ahh guy who was smiling while looking around.

"HELLO!! I AM YOARASHI INASA!! ALLOW ME TO PARTAKE IN THIS HOTNESS AND COMPETE WITH YOU ALL ON THIS STAGE!!! LET'S GIVE IT OUR ALL!!! PLUSS ULTRAA!!!!"

Should investing in some nice quality earplugs be good? because as it is now, Neji's ears wouldn't last him longer if this guy keeps shouting while standing there.

But since he was raised better he replied politely as any gemtleman would.

"Neji Imasuji, likewise"

Getting a response he smilled even more, if that was even physically possible.

Inasa then moved towards the bi-colored guy.

"HELLO!! LET-" "shut up. you're just a nuisance"

...

"Sorry to disturb you!!" Inasa left the guy alone and started talking to the rocket guy.

even then, his eyes never truly left him, hovering towards the bi-colored everytime.

The tall girl the rocket elbow guy was constantly trying to talk was standing at the start line, along with 5 other examinees.

"Are you listeners ready!!? Go!!!!" Out of the blue present mic shouted without giving any countdown, not that it was necessary.

No one wasted any time and rushed towards the 6 doors, Each taking one.

"Part 1: Ultimate maze!!"

"Its a 500m long maze filled with traps and vision obscuring mist!! You better find the exit fast or be trapped there for eternity!!"

Standing on the platform there was not much Neji could do other than stare at the end gate of the maze, since the whole race track was enclosed, meaning they can't see whats going inside, nor were they allowed to see through the cctv cameras no doubt installed.

Meanwhile....

"41. 42. 43. 44. i can beat you even with my eyes closed 45. 46...."

"MAN, YOU ARE AWESOME!! ALLOW MY RED-HOT FIGHTING SPIRIT TO PUT FORTH A BIGGER CHALLENGE!!!"

How have he missed this?

There at the back of the platform were Inasa and rocket boy, doing a push up challenge.

should he tell them to stop?

...

"51. 52. 53. 54. 55...you just had a early start, I'll catch up in no time"

"59! 60! 61!...WITH YOU WORKING HARD, HOW CAN I BE BEHIND!!! I WILL DO EVEN MORE!!!"

Maybe they can sort this out on their own?...

Thankfully present mic's announcement that the first player is out of the maze was enough for them to stop.

"part 2: Terrible tunnel!!"

"A long tunnel filled with Explosive mines everywhere, along with an extra surprise!!"

Little time passed as sound of feint explosions filled the track.

—some very boring minutes later—

"Ohh?!! Do you see this listeners?!!! Our first examinee is out of the track!!!" Present mic announced in his loud voice.

'no we do not see mic, its covered by a huge dome so we cant see' Neji thought but remained silent.

The Inasa guy was getting even more restless, meanwhile the rocket guy has literally ignited his rockets. Are some people really this hotheadded?

After minutes of painfull nothingness except two children and an adult shouting the first person emerged from the otherwise of the track.

"OHHHH!!!! HERE COMES OUR FIRST WINNER!!!!"

He should definately get some good earplugs.

There emerged a tall girl with oynx colored hair done in a high ponytail, she had a jacket daped over her shoulders with the zipper open, a black sports bra inside.

With less than 100 m left she covered it swiftly, collapsing at the finish line.

soon after others also crossed the finish line, abit with disappointed expressions.

"Remember listeners, Even if you didn't come first doesn't mean you are out of the game, there is the entrance test and the interview, so don't feel down, brighten up and say YEAHH!!!!!"

(5 minutes later)

"heh, life is so unfair for you all, you had me in your group"

Standing at the starting line rockets ignited as he said that, smirking at others

Inasa also had a different smile, one more competitive.

Half-half guy stood apathetically, no reaction what so ever.

Neji took a deep breath and tensed his muscles, ready to win.

"Group 2...

GOOOO!!!!!"

Dust and mist filled the track as everyone rushed towards one of the 6 doors infront.

"see ya later, losers!!" Rockets roared as he flew straight through the centre door at blinding speeds.

"ALL THE BEST!! EVERYONE!!" Inasa shouted through the roaring winds as he took the left most door.

"_" Half guy stoically entered the 2nd left door sliding on his ice.

Muscles bulged inside Neji as he activated his quirk, taking a step he's launched forward at high speed.

Frawning a little at that, "I would have to limit myself" he muttered.

The maze is a confined area, he can't use his full speed here without damaging something, using little of his explosive power Neji fully entered the maze.
