A/N: I want to say this before you all hop into the story. The story doesn't immediately jump into Izuku with the system but builds up towards that event. Also, there are changes that were made to the ages of the characters along with the change in the backstory of Izuku and his family. In addition, I want to commemorate and thank Writer Wolfey199 for creating the wonderful story of Solo. Sadly the story was discontinued and abandoned due to the hate gained from some of the readers. I will take it upon myself to create a story that he and all of you can be proud of, This is my first time doing anything like this so tips are acknowledged and appreciated. Lastly, this story will have similar events to the story Solo with some changes as I will be making a new fan fic using the foundation of Solo. Solo Leveling x Boku no Hero Academia. P.S. I will eventually create my own book cover for this fan fic as I don't own the one being used. Canon events will start in chapter two. Enjoy everyone!

Challenges and adversity

Advancing toward the hoard of Wolves, Izuku tightly gripped the handle of his axe in hand. With a growl five wolves soon slowly emerged from the shadows toward him from various directions, while the others spread out, cutting off Izuku's potential escape routes their crimson fur striking in the dim subway lights. "They're becoming more intelligent and adapting from their previous mistakes. This is interesting," Izuku mused internally as his blood surged with energy and a smile crept onto his lips. He observed and waited for one of the wolves to make a move. In rapid succession, two wolves initiated their charge from different angles, targeting different parts of his body.

As the two wolves approached, their growls intensified, and Izuku could feel the ground shaking beneath his feet. He braced himself for the impending attacks, his heart pounding in his chest and his lips curved in a smile. One wolf aimed for his thigh while the other targeted his neck, their jaws snapping menacingly as they inched closer. Izuku seeing this instinctively leaped back as the wolves dashed past his previous location. The sound of their metal jaws shutting with a clank echoed through the subway. But, unbeknownst to Izuku, a third wolf was waiting for him, lurking in the shadows. As he turned back to face the attackers, the wolf bit into his leg, hoping to cause damage and tip him off balance.

Izuku suddenly experienced a sharp surge of pain in his leg, causing him to grimace in agony as he swung his axe downward, effectively splitting the wolf's skull with a resounding crunch. The lifeless body of the wolf collapsed to the ground, blood seeping from its head. "I'm getting too careless," Izuku muttered to himself as he surveyed his surroundings, taking note of the numerous wolves that numbered in the fifties. "This should be over quickly; there aren't as many as before. I just need to stay focused and alert." With a heavy sigh, Izuku cracked his neck and turned his attention to the two wolves from earlier, their eyes blazing and saliva dripping from their mouths.

Clutching the axe tightly in his hand, Izuku dashed toward the wolf on his left in a blur of green and blue, exerting immense pressure and force that caused the ground to crack beneath him. As he closed in on the wolf, Izuku swung his axe horizontally, swiftly decapitating the creature, its head soaring towards the other wolves surrounding Izuku, leaving a trail of crimson blood in its wake.

As the head of the wolf landed amidst its pack, the other wolves let out a chilling howl, their eyes filled with a mix of fear and fury. Izuku stood his ground, his chest heaving as he prepared for the impending attack from the other Raikan. However before the Raikan could lunge at him, Izuku deftly sidestepped and struck it in the side, although with some difficulty due to the poor condition of the axe. After dispatching the wolf, Izuku immediately closed the gap between himself and the remaining pack, as he ludged forward relentlessly swinging his axe as blood and body parts flew around him.

The Wolves began to close in on Izuku and, he had to protect himself from every angle. With each swing, his skill with the axe steadily increased as he grew accustomed to its weight and balance. Soon, only four wolves remained, leaving Izuku with numerous bite marks and cuts covering his body and blood seeping through his tattered clothes, while his labored breaths did not deter him from fixing his unwavering gaze upon the remaining wolves, his eyes shining a deep blue.

The wolves snarled menacingly at Izuku, their eyes filled with burning hatred as they closed in on him. However, as they drew near, a sudden wave of fear seemed to overtake them, causing them to retreat into the shadows. Paying the system no mind Izuku looked at the wolves as in labored breaths, he muttered, "I-I can't let them escape and call more." Despite his injuries and exhaustion, he summoned every ounce of strength his body could muster as he pursued the retreating wolves.

Every step he took sent agonizing jolts of pain through his battered body. His legs throbbed with each movement, blood seeping from numerous wounds. Numbness and soreness engulfed his arms, while blood trickled from his mouth. His vision blurred, and every breath felt like his lungs were getting punctured by shards of glass as his coughs drew blood. Yet, driven by sheer willpower, and the constant strive to keep pushing he relentlessly pressed on toward the remaining wolves.

Arriving at the wolves' location, Izuku struggled to catch his breath as he swung his axe with all his might. Fatigue hindered his precision, causing the blade to merely graze one of the wolves. In a cruel twist of fate, another wolf sunk its teeth into Izuku's right shoulder, ripping through flesh and causing blood to gush from the wound. Despite the excruciating pain, Izuku gritted his teeth and tightened his grip on the axe.

Summoning a surge of his remaining strength, he unleashed a powerful swing that found its mark, cleaving through the side of another wolf's body its entrails and blood staining the ground.

The remaining small pack of wolves all lunged at Izuku as he desperately tried to fend off their relentless onslaught. "I'm gonna die at this rate," Izuku muttered under his breath as he swung the axe, crudely decapitating yet another wolf.

Leaping back Izuku dashed toward the remaining three wolves as he gritted his teeth. With each swing, the limbs of the wolves were severed, their bodies falling to the cold ground of the subway amidst the gruesome sounds of tearing flesh and splattering blood the wolves' subtle whimper were the only sound's of life.

[YOU LEVELED UP]

With the final wolf killed Izuku dropped down to the ground in exhaustion ignoring the notification of the system as he still tightly gripped the axe in his hand. "I could have died. I was too careless, damn it. Even if I'm stronger I can't underestimate my opponent. I only survived by dumb luck If there was even one more wolf I could have ended up dead without even getting to the Boss." Izuku thought inwardly as his bloodstained body heaved up and down on the ground.

As Izuku heaved up and down trying to gain as much air as he could he could only think of his body which was covered in bruises and cuts, as he could feel the weight of his own exhaustion dragging him down. He had pushed himself to the limit, and it had almost cost him his life. But he knew he couldn't afford to make the same mistakes again. He needed to be careful, strategic, and prepared for the challenges that lay ahead.

As Izuku lay there, coughing up blood and grimacing in pain, his energy started to slip away from him as his eyes started to shut, drifting off into the dark comforts of sleep. "No! I can't sleep, not in a place like this," Izuku said as he quickly opened his eyes. "There's no telling what could be lurking around in this dungeon besides those Raikan. I can't afford to rest at a time like this." With that thought, Izuku clutched the hilt of the axe harder as he said, "Open store." The blue window emerged, showing the multitude of items that he could acquire.

With a grunt, Izuku used the axe to sit upright as he looked at his body in shock. "They really did a number on me. I can't even feel my legs and my...my shoulder." Looking at his shoulder Izuku gagged as he looked at the tattered flesh and oozing blood he could see the muscles and tissue. How am I still alive with this much blood loss?" He wondered as he saw the multiple cuts and bleeding wounds all over his body along with the grotesque state of his shoulder. "It must be because I'm in a state of shock. That would also explain why my body feels cold. Wait everything is getting blurry. I don't have that much time left! I'm losing consciousness. I need to hurry!"

With no further hesitation, Izuku looked towards the floating store window as he said "Search all Healing and Medical items." Soon a plethora of items were displaced ranging from common bandages to fantasy potions and elixers.

Izuku had no time to be amazed at the items contained within the store as he was on the verge of blacking out. Looking at the store he saw the item "low tier life potion" as he said, "Buy!" However, another window emerged when he said this as it read.

[The host does not possess enough gold to purchase this item does the host wish to sell a sufficient amount of items to make the purchase]

"Damn it!" Izuku exclaimed, his voice strained with exhaustion and his eyes drooping from the overwhelming fatigue. "Yes!"

Ignoring the description and information on the [Low Tier Life Potion], Izuku hurriedly gulped down the contents of the bottle. However, Izuku soon froze in place as he dropped the bottle, the glass shattering on the floor. His axe, which he was using to leverage himself up, dropped with a clank as he gripped his chest, a face of pure agony overwhelming him. He felt as though his body was engulfed in a blazing inferno, as if he were being devoured by an unstoppable flame, searing his skin with an unbearable pain.

Every fiber of his being wanted to scream out, but he held it in, biting his lip until it drew blood. Suddenly, faint red particles of light flickered around him, casting a crimson aura around his body. His shoulder started to heal, although excruciatingly slow and painful, and he felt every single moment of it. His clothes dampened with sweat as he tried to withstand the burning sensation. Eventually, the pain subsided and his cuts and wounds were healed, yet the major shoulder wound still remained, the ragged and dismembered flesh healed but with the bite still visible and the blood long stopped.

As Izuku lay on the ground in his own sweat and blood, breathing profusely, he could only think of the pain he felt from consuming the potion. "What the hell, that sensation! It felt like I was getting cooked alive; every muscle in my body was tensed up. I could barely breathe." Getting up from the ground, Izuku looked at his body and remarked, "The wounds are mostly healed now. That's a relief. I don't even feel that tired, although I may be a bit sluggish and sore. I feel almost as good as new!"

Stretching his body a bit Izuku looked at his axe that lay on the ground. Reaching down to grab it he looked at the blade as it chipped and cracked as pieces of dry blood and rust stained it. Even some Raikan fur could be seen in the cracks of the blade. The hilt also had dried pieces of blood as some of the wood splintered and chipped. "Looks like the blade has finally met its end. It sure has seen better days." Izuku said with a sigh.

[Item: Old Steel Axe]

Tier: Common

Type: Axe

Attack: Extremely Low (10)

Durability: Poor (2/10)

Special Abilities: None

Enhancement Potential: Limited

[A random old axe on the verge of breaking grants the user +10 attack power.]

Holding the axe up he only said one thing. "Thank you," with that Izuku held the axe to his side as he looked around at the massacre of bodies surrounding him. "I need to be more careful I can't always rely on this system to save me all the time."

With that, Izuku gripped his axe tightly and began to chop away at the limbs of the surrounding Raikan. Once he finished, he checked his system notifications and looked at the title he received before defeating the previous horde of Raikan.

[Title: Wolf Slayer]

[A title given to a hunter proficient in fighting against wolves.]

[Grants the user a 40% increase in experience against beast-type monsters.]

"This is interesting so I won't just be getting a 40% increase in experience against Raikan alone but beast-type monsters in general." A smile grew on Izuku's face as he read the description of the title [Wolf Slayer].

"How many items have I salvaged so far?" Izuku asked himself as he said "Inventory" causing the familiar blue window to emerge as it showed the number of items Izuku has gained thus far. As he looked at the number of Items he's collected so far he was surprised as he read the numbers.

Muttering to himself, Izuku gazes at his inventory and remarks, "9,912 Raikan's Fangs, 37,760 Raikan's Bones, 4,248 Raikan's Claws, 5,318 Raikan's Hide, 236 Low-tier Beast shards, Hearthstone. That's more than I was expecting. I didn't know I was getting this much from just salvaging their pieces. I didn't even grab everything; just imagine how much gold I could get from that." A smile slowly spread across his face as he thought of the potential gold he could gain. However, it quickly changes to a look of questioning as he ponders the other potential uses of these items.

Looking at his inventory Izuku calls out "[Hearthstone]" as the stone with a blue glow materializes in his hand. "If I so want to I could leave this dungeon right now." Izuku thought as he looked at the stone before putting it back into the inventory. "No, there's no point in leaving now. I've come too far to just leave and abandon this place. There's no guarantee that there will be another chance to get stronger this easily. That random box gave me the key to a new future." Izuku looked around at the scattered remains of the Raikan hoard. " I'll be damn'd if I walk away from it all and give up this once-in-a-lifetime chance." Izuku continues to walk over dead wolf bodies looking around. "For the first time in my life, I could hold power on par with quirk users!" Clutching his fist Izuku said, "There's only advance or retreat… and I'm so tired of retreating…" Izuku continued his march through the station as he kept an eye out for anything around him.

As he walked through the dilapidated station, he could hear the sounds of scurrying rodents and other creatures that littered the vine-infested area. Passing by stores filled with moss and vines, their glass windows shattered and scattered about, with pieces of debris and rubble piled high. Soon, he heard the sound of broken glass and a monkey's howl. He took a deep breath, inhaling the musty scent that seemed to hang in the air, Clutching his damaged axe in his right hand, he cautiously approached the source of the noise, hiding behind a pile of debris and moss to avoid being noticed. The smell was overwhelming, but he persevered, peering over as he observed the creature that made the sound. Looking at the creature he saw an orange name above its head as it read.

[RAZOR CLAW BRIGA]

The beast looked like that of a monkey from its body size and figure to its long furry tail though that was where the similarities stopped as the eyes of the creature were as crimson as blood even giving off a faint glow. Its fur was ragged and unkept with a dark greenish color. Black marking aligned its eyes and as the name suggested, long razor-like claws dawned on its fingers.

Observing the creature, Izuku contemplated his next move as he studied the Briga. Unaware of the beast's capabilities or strengths, he felt unprepared. Examining his axe, Izuku realized its durability was nearly depleted and could break at any moment. He decided to conserve it for dire situations or until he reached the boss's room. While he considered acquiring a weapon from the store with the items he had gathered so far, two concerns arose. Firstly, he couldn't simply wield any weapon or item without proper training, as he had been doing with the axe, which could prove fatal. Secondly, he questioned whether these items held value beyond being a means to acquire gold. Therefore, Izuku resolved to conserve the items and refrain from purchasing anything unless absolutely necessary. With this in mind, he put his axe back in his inventory. As he looked at his fist, a soft green glow enveloped it. With a sigh, his eyes glowed a deep blue as he dashed towards the Briga in a blur of blue and green.

As Izuku reached the Briga, he grabbed it by the neck, blocking its vocal cords and preventing the creature from making a sound. With his other hand, he pierced through the creature's chest, inevitably killing it. Despite the gruesome scene before him, Izuku felt surprisingly unfazed. He had grown accustomed to such sights, although not entirely immune, as his stomach still churned at the sight of the creature's blood. The way he killed this creature felt different; unlike his previous methods involving his axe, he used his bare hands. As he retracted his arm from the creature, he looked at it and saw the blood dripping from it.

"With my bare hands, I would have once felt sick at the sight of this before, but I'm growing accustomed to it. Death has become a normality in this place." He sighed as he dropped the corpse of the Briga, his voice laced with a hint of melancholy. However, he quickly smacked himself in the face, trying to shake off the morbid thoughts. "What the hell? I've only been in this dungeon for maybe two or three hours, and I'm already talking like this? This place isn't just making me stronger, but it's changing me into someone unrecognizable."

He took a deep breath, trying to clear his mind of the grim thoughts that had begun to consume him. "I would have never spoken so callously before coming here. Death may be inevitable, but the way we welcome it is different. We must learn to embrace it with dignity and respect, rather than becoming desensitized to it."

With a heavy heart, Izuku scanned the area, searching for anything he could use to salvage the Briga's body parts. He knew that every piece of equipment, no matter how small, could be useful in his quest to survive this dungeon. Looking around he saw a pipe lying on the ground as he picked it up a blue window emerged.

[Item: Rusty metal Pipe]

Name: none

Tier: Poor

Type: Pipe

Attack: Extremely Low (8)

Durability: Poor (5/10)

Special Abilities: None

Enhancement Potential: None

[A random pipe the host found on the ground, can be used as a blunt weapon or used to impale someone with its broken edge. Grants the user +8 to attack power .]

"Wait, so I can even see the stats of random items like this? There are still multiple questions I have about this power. Though I'll worry about that once this place is done with. Still, even with this pipe, I don't know how to properly use it to kill something besides piercing it and bashing it, though it will be helpful until it breaks."

Izuku clutched the pipe in his hand and swung it around a bit to get used to the new weight. He then made his way back to the corpse of the Briga and began crudely cutting away at the limbs of the creature with the sharp edge of the pipe, trying his best to salvage whatever he could from its remains.

As Izuku finished salvaging what he could from the Briga's corpse he made way further down the subway station. The walls were covered in vines and moss, and the air was thick with the sound of dripping water. As he walked the sound of his footsteps echoed through the deserted station, the only source of light coming from the dimly lit overhead lamps. Soon the lamps in front of Izuku began to shake as they flicked on and off. Not long after Izuku heard the growls and howls of more Briga as they leaped from lamp to lamp their howls continuously growing. Hearing this Izuku readied himself for whatever was going to happen as he clutched the metal pipe in his hand. He didn't know how many Briga there were but he knew he had to be ready for anything. However, to Izuku's surprise, the noises ceased as the light fixtures stopped flickering and moving it was complete and utter silence. Remaining vigilant, Izuku gripped his pipe tighter as he breathed out, waiting for any sudden movements.

In an instant, the Briga leaped from the lamp, fangs bared and claws outstretched, ready to tear into Izuku's flesh. He reacted swiftly, driving the pipe through its chest and sending it sliding down the pole, blood dripping from its mouth and chest. Its last gasps of breath were all that could be heard, yet still, the Briga was not done. It stretched its claws out towards Izuku, almost cutting him, but he quickly jerked away just in time. The Briga's arm fell limp to its side, and eventually, it died, impaled by the metal pipe.

Wasting no time, two more Brigas swiftly descended. One managed to evade the pipe aimed at them, then latched onto Izuku's back. Meanwhile, the other was not as fortunate, as it was impaled through the arm, letting out a blood-curdling howl as it writhed in agony, blood dripping down the pipe as it stood its ground. Izuku, feeling the Briga's claws digging into his back, tried to shake it off while holding back the other Briga that lunged towards him with razor-sharp claws. The Briga on his back relentlessly clawed and pierced through his skin, causing Izuku to grit his teeth. In his right hand, he held the pipe that contained the dead body of a Briga, as well as another Briga desperately trying to claw its way through his flesh. With his left hand, he grabbed the Briga by the leg and swung it off his back, slamming its head into the ground with a sickening crunch as it coughed up blood. Before it could get up, he smashed its head under his foot, splattering its brains and blood across the ground and his foot.

The other Briga, witnessing the scene, began frothing at the mouth and unleashed a ferocious howl of rage as it attempted to free itself from the pipe. In response, Izuku forcefully drove the pipe into the ground to restrain the Briga's attempts to free itself. However, the Briga began to claw and chew at its arm, its mouth filled with blood and flesh as it frantically gnawed away at its own limb in a desperate bid for freedom. As Izuku observed the Briga's relentless determination to break free, he became increasingly fascinated by the primal instincts and actions of the beast within the dungeon. Finally managing to make it to its bone, it then used its powerful jaws to crush and break it, finally freeing itself from the pipe. Although Izuku was ready as the Briga lunged towards him, he dodged its attack and allowed the beast to skid past him with blood dripping from its severed arm. With the corpses of the previous Briga removed, Izuku could now wield the pipe with ease as he prepared for the beast to charge toward him again.

As the Briga got up from the ground, its crimson eyes glowed brightly with rage as it rushed towards Izuku again, its mouth continuously dripping blood. Seeing the beast in this state, Izuku thrust the pipe forward as the Briga charged towards it. However, the Briga dodged the attack and climbed on top of the pipe, reaching Izuku as it tried to claw away at him with its remaining arm. In response, Izuku grabbed its remaining arm and slammed its body on the ground, stepping on it to prevent it from getting up. He then thrust the pipe through its head with a resounding crunch, finally stopping its body from moving and painting the ground with its blood.

Izuku looked at the bodies of the Briga with cold eyes and said, "They're becoming more desperate to kill me as I approach the boss room. This is getting interesting, although I'm not gaining much experience from these few creatures." With a sigh, Izuku salvaged what remained of the three dead Briga and continued to walk deeper down the station as he made his way deeper down the station walking over rubble and glass the constant dripping of water resounded from above him as the lights flickered on and off. "There's nothing around not even anymore of those Brigas from before. However, I can't let my guard down any beast can come at any moment." With that Izuku steadily walked the station passing by abandoned and border stores as piles of debris filled the area. However soon Izuku smelled the scent of blood and rotting flesh as it continuously grew stronger as he walked further down the station. Making it to the source of the smell Izuku encountered three dead Briga corpses. As he served the area there was no other beast around neither could he hear anything out of the ordinary. Getting closer to the bodies Izuku got a closer look as he noticed bite marks and claw marks littering their bodies as their blood seemed to be dried up given they had been dead for some time now. "Could there be Raikan's lurking around here?" Izuku said as he again looked around the area. "Nothing. I don't even sense any presence here even faint though my sense stat is still low." Izuku said as he still didn't see any sines of a Raikan around.

Looking back at the Briga's corpses he began to salvage whatever remained of them as he wondered what could have caused this. As the salvaged pieces were put into Izuku's inventory he sighed as he began to traverse through the station. However, as he was beginning to move he heard a growl as two shadowy figures dashed towards him. Wasting no time Izuku jumped back as he looked on at the two beasts that lunged at him.

The beast that appeared before Izuku resembled that of a black panther, but it was significantly larger in size and possessed compact muscles, exuding an aura of strength and power. Its eyes were a vivid scarlet crimson, piercing into Izuku's own gaze with an intense and almost hypnotic stare. The creature's raven-black fur was both majestic and striking, seamlessly blending into the shadows of the station, making it a formidable and stealthy presence. Izuku looked on at their names portrayed in a striking orange color as they read.

[Black Shadow Razan]

"Another beast," Izuku said as he gripped the Pipe in hand and looked on at the Razans in a cold glare, his eyes shining a deep blue as he breathed out. The Razan looking at Izuku perched down as they snarled, saliva dripping from their mouths as they waited for Izuku to move. Without thinking about it, Izuku dashed forward and made it to the Razan on his left with quick movements. He kicked the beast in its side as it blew the beast away, its body slamming into its companion as they crashed into the wall with a resounding crunch. As their bodies slid to the ground, they left a huge crater in the wall as blood-spattered and trailed their bodies. The companion lay dead on the floor as its body oozed blood from every pore and its eyes were gouged out of its socket and its innards spilling from its mouth. The Razan that was hit let out a low howl as it coughed up blood its eyes bloodshot and its fur matted with the deep red liquid. It was very easy to determine that its ribs were broken and some of its internal organs were punctured as it limped towards Izuku with a snarl, blood dripping from its mouth. Izuku, seeing the beast's advancements, gripped the pipe in his hand as he with all his might threw it towards the beast, impaling it on the spot. Its body spasmed for a moment before it slumped down the length of the pipe, its blood staining it red. Its last sound was a weak, rasping groan before its limp form slumped to the ground.

As Izuku observed the notification, a smirk formed on his face as he uttered, "Finally." He slumped to the ground with a sigh, his gaze fixed on the lifeless bodies of the two Razan. "I'm growing strong the more I kill," he muttered. Rising from the ground, he seized a pipe from one of the Razan and began salvaging whatever he could from their corpses. "This smell never gets old," Izuku remarked, the stench of their bodies filling the air.

As Izuku made his way deeper into the dungeon, he encountered more Razan, Briga and Raikan, their presence making him push himself even further. The sound of their weapons clashing and the ground shaking beneath his feet was all too familiar, as he had been fighting for what felt like an eternity their blood staining his already torn and bloody clothes. The boss lying in wait at the depths of this dungeon was the only thing on his mind as time ticked on, the anticipation building with each step he took. "Every time I level up, the fight against these monsters becomes a little bit easier," Izuku thought as he deftly dodged an attack from a Briga before swiftly piercing the head of a Raikan.

[You have slain Stell Fang Raikan]

"As their movements become increasingly predictable, this battle feels monotonous," Izuku remarked while executing a powerful kick that sent a Razan hurtling towards a nearby pipe. The creature's body collided with the pipe, impaling it and causing blood to trickle down onto the ground.

[You have slain Black Shadow Razan.]

"Even so, I'm getting stronger no matter what it takes. I'm going to climb this ladder and reach the peak of this damn world," Izuku thought as he shook off a briga from his leg, crushing it under his foot as its blood stained the ground.

[You have slain black shadow Razan.]

[YOU LEVELED UP!]

"I can feel myself getting stronger," Izuku hissed as he cracked his neck, leaning against a wall with his damaged pipe at his side, while the remains of his prey lay at his feet in a putrid puddle of their own blood and entrails. "Due to the beasts steadily appearing like that of video game monster. I'm growing, although they don't feel like real creatures but beings that were programmed to just keep appearing," Izuku spat, scanning the beasts that lay within the dungeon. "Therefore, fighting them feels somewhat like a game where their patterns can be determined." Izuku's eyes gleamed with a blue glow as he readied himself. "I can sense where they're coming from now." Just as he spoke, two Brigas jumped down from the lamp and landed in front of Izuku. Without hesitation, Izuku dashed towards them, smashing one's skull in with his pipe, and kicked the other one its body bursting into a pool of blood and inerds its body hitting the ground with a splat.

As the Briga's body fell to the ground two Razans emerged from the shadows, encircling him. With lightning-fast reflexes, Izuku thrust his pipe into the head of one of the Razans, followed by a powerful kick to its chest, causing its body to go flying back into a wall with a sickening crunch. He quickly turned to the other Razan that was lunging towards him, dodging it and punching it in its gut with a powerful force, sending a spray of blood from its mouth and staining its fur. He then turned around to catch a Raikan charging towards him. Reacting instinctively, he reached into his inventory and pulled out his axe. With a swift and precise motion, he sliced through the Raikan's body, causing its entrails and blood to spill onto the ground in a grisly display.

Amidst the darkness, the blue glow emanating from Izuku's eyes only remained as he exhaled deeply, his gaze shifted downward to the fallen monster. Its once-orange name had now turned white.

"As I've been fighting through this dungeon, I noticed that the color of the name changes according to the monster's strength. White means it's weak, orange means it's strong and red…" Izuku thought back to the centipede from the Nightmare called the [Penalty Quest]. "Very strong." Izuku swiped his axe in the air, getting blood off of it as he stored it back in his inventory continuing to analyze the monsters. "The Raikans who were red at the beginning are now white. Meaning I've grown stronger than them… a lot stronger. But even with my current strength… I'm not sure I can kill whatever is waiting for me down there," Izuku said as he stared down a foggy staircase with overgrown grass and weeds sprouting from the cracks in the cement steps. The air was thick with the dampness of the misty fog, and the musty smell of decaying vegetation hung heavy in the air. The stairs themselves were covered in a thick layer of moss and lichen, and the once-white concrete was now stained with dirt and grime. Izuku could feel a crushing presence emanating from the depths of the stairwell as if something ominous and foreboding lurked beneath the surface. "I can feel a crushing presence from down there."

"Maybe my sense stat has increased so much, but I can tell how strong the monster down there is…" Izuku said as he opened up his status sheet. "My level doesn't seem to be rising anymore."
