"I am impressed with how well thought out your plan is, Mr Deku. However, I believe that there is an element that you have yet to mention; All Might."

At Kurogiri's mention of the iconic number one hero, the gathered crooks all groaned in unison.

"Of course, how could we forget?" Gentle brought a hand to his face in despair.

"He's supposed to be a professor of UA academy now, and will be more than likely partaking in the festivities with the rest of the staff."

"And any villain even thinking of pulling a stunt at the festival, wouldn't have a snowball's chance against Endeavour with the number one hero around!" La Brava lamented until she realised who she was talking about. "Oops! Sorry, Deku..."

"That's okay, La Brava," The young mastermind pardoned kindly. "All Might does have the effect of making villains think twice before committing any crimes."

"Then why bother?!" Mr Red chimed in. "No offence, Deku. But if All Might's really going to show up there, then this whole thing's a bust before it can even begin!"

The rest of Team Reservoir Dogs nodded in agreement with their fearful leader.

Deku closed his eyes with a sigh. He should have known this would happen. All Might was a presence that loomed over the heads of many hardened criminals.

It was one of the main reasons why the concept of the symbol of peace was able to hold hero society together.

But no one, not even All Might, was going to stop Deku from enacting his plan.

"Look...I understand that with All Might being at the festival, the chances of my plan going off without a hitch are devastatingly slim." The young villain commented.

Taking note of the downcast looks on his team's faces he said again. "But, I wouldn't even try to do this plan myself, if I didn't have a decent escape plan."

"Escape plan?" Gentle perked up at the mention of a way out if things got out of hand, especially with All Might involved.

Deku nodded, glad to see some enthusiasm come back to his crew. "Yes. However, I'm afraid that, once again, it counts on you, Kurogiri."

"I expected as much, and there is no need for you to feel guilty, Mr Deku." The living cloud reasoned. "I'm I correct to believe that you wish for me to use my powers the same way I did back at the USJ when my master's plan failed?"

"Pretty much," Deku shrugged. "If I think that my plan is at risk in any way, I'll contact you. Me, Gentle, and La Brava will then meet up with you at the same location where you'll drop off our gear. We'll also use the same tactic when the plan is successful, and we need to make our getaway."

"Understood." The vortex man bowed.

"Wait, you mean...we'll have to walk...through him?!" La Brava grimaced as she chanced a look at the living cloud. Kurogiri looked back, his blazing eyes piercing into the pigtailed girl's terrified pupils.

As the little hacker quivered, Gentle laid a comforting hand on her shoulder, snapping her out of her fear.

"Do not fret, my dear! If it comes to it, I shall hold you close and wade us through the darkness together!" The flamboyant thief declared charmingly, shooting the girl a wink.

That was enough to cause the girl to swoon and fall into the elasticity man's lap. "Oh, Gentle~! You'll always be my light in the darkness!"

"Those guys are weird..." Mr Red commented dryly, the rest of his gang nodding in approval.

Deku looked around at his team, glad to see them full of life once more.

As glad as he was to have an escape plan in mind if his plan went astray, He hoped that he wouldn't have to use it. His plan had to work...it needed to work!

And no one, not even All Might himself, was going to stand in his way...

------------------------------

Deku was starting to regret his choice of words back then, as he was staring up at the withered form of the symbol of peace himself.

Toshinori kept his smile on but began to notice that passers-by were looking at them strangely.

The deflated number one hero cleared his throat as he offered the boy a hand. "We seem to be making a bit a scene, young one. How's about I help you up?"

"Huh? O-Oh, yeah!" Deku took the offered hand and let the number one hero help him up.

As Toshinori lifted Deku off his feet, straining a little in his weakened state, he noticed the mess of crushed chips and cheese on the boy's green hoodie. "Oh, I am terribly sorry, my boy!"

"N-No, no! It's fine!" The young villain waved off, wiping down his disguise. His efforts only lead to a large stain being left on his outfit. "I-It'll come out in the wash!"

"Maybe so, but I still feel bad..." The slim symbol of peace mumbled as he rubbed his bony chin.

He snapped his fingers when an idea popped into his head. "Aha! Allow me to make it up to you! How about an item from the snack bar on me?"

Deku blanched. It didn't seem like All Might had recognized him yet, but he certainly didn't want to risk it by sticking around. "N-no, that's okay! I couldn't-"

Nonsense! It's the least I could do." Toshinori endeavoured as he smiled and hiked a thumb at the nearest food stall.

The young villain frowned a little at All Might's persistence but felt his stomach grumble as the smell of fried and battered food hit his nose.

Toshinori laughed. "It seems that your stomach betrays you, lad. Come, anything you want, on me!"

"...Sure." Deku resigned himself as he followed the withered number one hero. If he tried to leave now, he'd risk gaining the suspicion of the symbol of peace and put his whole plan in jeopardy.

And that was something he couldn't let happen, not after coming so close! He had no choice, but to play along with the spindly man's wishes.

This was not going to be easy...

------------------------------

"How's the takoyaki?" The withered symbol of peace asked the boy.

"O-Oh, um...it's great, thanks." The nervous child spluttered, munching slowly on his deep-fried octopus balls.

Toshinori smiled. "Gald to hear it! So, young...Oh! How rude of me! Here I am, forcing my goodwill on you, and I haven't even introduced myself."

The slim symbol of peace reached over the table and offered his hand. "Call me Mr Yagi. I'm a faculty member at UA."

"Nice to meet you..." The boy anxiously reached out and took his in a small shake. "I'm...Usagi...Midori Usagi."

"Pleasure to meet you as well, Young Usagi." The withered number one hero grinned.

Deku inwardly blanched. He made up that fake name on the spot.

There was no way All Might could've bought it so easily! Was he messing with him? Did he know who he was and was just humouring him? Did he already call the authorities and was making sure he didn't run away?!

This was bad! He had to contact Kurogiri! He had to warn Gentle and La Brava! He had to-

"Are you alright, Usagi? Do you need a drink or something?"

Deku snapped out of his racing thoughts, quickly shaking his head. "N-No, no! Sorry about that! I have a bad habit of getting caught up in my head."

"That's quite alright, young man." Toshinori waved off as he took a bite of his fresh new batch of nachos, enjoying the taste of the cheesy, savoury snack.
