| Quirk Awakening and Uncle |

It's been several hours since Rhys fell back asleep and is now awake.

He fluttered his eyes open and stretched his small arm out, grabbing his white cane that he's familiar with to help him walk around. He stood up and walked seven steps forward before turning right to enter the bathroom.

He had memorized the everything in order to move around conveniently without bothering his sister and father. It was like an instinct for him to do that.

As Rhys finish doing his business in the bathroom, he walked out but then suddenly a piercing pain struck both his eyes.

"AHHHHHHH!!"

The pain was came unexpectedly which made Rhys who has his guard down naturally to let out a scream.

The white cane in his hand dropped as he now occupy both his hands into clutching the part around his eyes.

"AHHHHHHH!! Papa!"

It's not his first time calling his father for help, he would always call him whenever he needs help instead of Melissa. So he called his father on impulse.

"RHYS!! What happened?!"

Yelled David in concern for his son from the living room. Rhys could also hear Melissa voice but it was overshadowed by their father.

"GUAAHHH!!!"

Rhys could feel warm liquid flowing pass through his hands. Rhys knew it immediately that it was blood even without the need to rely on his memories as 'Asahi Kamado' because this liquid has iron-like smell.

*BAM!*

David opened the door to the bedroom and yelled,

"Rhys! Wha- What the f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-fsh! RHYS?! ARE YOU OKAY RHYS?!"

He lost his composure as soon as he saw the state his son is in.

"P-papa...?"

Rhys muttered before he fell unconscious but his father safely caught in time before he collide with the floor.

*Thud*

"P-Papa..."

Melissa who's hiding behind her father tugged his lab coat and expressed her concern.

"I know Melissa, he is going to be fine. Let's bring him to the hospital..."

*Shreeck*

David ripped out a part of his coat and used it to cover Rhys's eyes to slow down the bleeding before rushing outside with little Melissa following behind.

XXXX Hospital, Emergency room,

"Professor Shield, your son is experiencing the awakening his quirk...I assume that his quirk to be a mutant type."

A half-bald middle-aged man reported Rhys's condition to David Shield. Who's waiting outside the patient room along with the sleeping Melissa on his lap.

"...Quirk awakening huh"

Seeing that Professor David Shield, a famous figure in front of him feeling down, the doctor quickly states

"I can guarantee you sir, that he will have an amazing quirk!"

Seeing that the doctor is trying to cheer him up, David gave a slight smile with a nod of appreciation.

"Thank you. You don't mind if I enter right?"

David stood up while holding the sleeping Melissa in his arm and asked.

"Not at all sir, please enter. He'll wake up anytime soon."

The doctor respectfully made way for David to enter the room as he himself walk away as his job here is finished.

*Swiss*

The door to the patient room automatically opened as it sensed a person's presence in its sensor range.

As soon as David stepped into the room, his eyes quickly darted over to the only patient bed. Upon seeing the bed, or the person on the bed to be exact, he froze.

He couldn't believe the sight he's witnessing as a lone tear of joy dropped out of his right eyes.

"Why are you crying papa?"

Rhys asked as he 'looked' at David while laying at a down on his bed.

Yes, Rhys who's supposed to be blind is looking at David. His usual bland white eyes is nowhere to be seen as it is replaced by a pair of beautiful multi-color gemlike eyes that consists of blue, gold, pink, and purple in order of shades. It's a pair of eyes that would undoubtedly attracts and mesmerizes everyone who made eye contact with it.

"You can see me??"

David asked with a shaky voice.

"Is the thing on your chin the reason why my cheek always hurt when you gave me a goodnight kiss called 'beard' papa?"

Rhys didn't directly answer David's question but he answered it in a roundabout way instead.

"S-Son! You can see!!!"

David rushes towards Rhys with the now awake Melissa in hand as loud voice woke her up.

David goes in and hugged Rhys tightly. It was a long silent hug but no awkwardness can be felt in the atmosphere.

The hug was ended by Melissa as she said,

"I can't...b-breathe"

"Oh!"

David looked over at his daughter with a apologetic face upon seeing her almost blue face.

"Hehehehe. Sister, you really have a beautiful hair and eyes. Is this what you call beautiful?"

Rhys giggled and compliment his sister who he sees for the first time since his birth.

"Aww~ Rhys!"

Melissa who quickly recovered from being lack of oxygen went and gave Rhys a quick hug.

After being separated from the hug, Rhys looked over to his father who's smiling at them.

"Papa. You have the same eyes as Melissa!"

"Hahahaha, surprised?"

David laughed, the heaviness in his heart has been lifted.

"Yes!"

"Say, how does it feel to see?"

David ruffle Rhys's hair and asked.

"Weird but it's better than only seeing nothing. There's many bright colors of light around."

"Hmm? What do you see?"

David who's curious about Rhys quirk asked.

"Beautiful..."

Melissa just noticed the color of her brother eyes.

"I see...lights? Ah! everything is gone."

The multi-color in Rhys eyes suddenly diminished, as his eyes turned into glassy silver.

""Huh?""

David and Melissa expressed their confusion as they saw the changes that took place in Rhys eyes.

"Can you still see son?"

David asked Rhys with his face got closer to Rhys face.

"...I can see but...there's no colors"

Rhys stated as he looked around. In his perspective, everything around him turned monochrome.

"Hmm...I see. Take some rest son. Melissa, do you want to stay here?"

David patted Rhys's head and asked Melissa.

"Hn! I want to stay with Rhys!"

Melissa replied enthusiastically.

"Okay, Papa will be back okay?"

David too patted Melissa before walking out of the room.

'Ocular related quirk...There's condition for it to be active...Lost the ability to see colors when the active duration ran out...'

David analyzed what he saw and made a mental note. This is a pure skill that he achieved by countless experience.

Rhys can be seen sleeping on his patient bed with a doctor writing down report on a table near his bed.

It's been a few minutes since the doctor did their things on Rhys; Full body check-up, health check, abnormalities check, and etc.

While the doctor is writing his report, Rhys is gaining a new memory in his sleep.

[[[The memory was about one of his past-lives as a man named 'Asahi Levine', who's in a world where Dimensional Rifts suddenly appeared out of nowhere centuries ago. Monsters and Demons from another world/dimension started swarming out of it, annihilating anything within their sight. When humanity was on the verge of extinction, people from around the world started having unique powers to fight off the monsters. Those people that fights for the sake of humanity are called 'Heroes'.

'Asahi Levine' is one of the top ranked heroes in the Global Hero Ranking who who goes by name 'Arcane Sniper', The best and deadliest sniper in the world. Rumors says that he never missed a shot, a full power shot from him could penetrate any defense no matter the layers.

The amount of people who knows his real identity can easily be counted on one hand. He does not have many people who he can consider to be true friends.

In that world, people are blessed with Traits. Traits are also ranked from Common to Legendary, but there's another hidden rank that is beyond legendary...and 'Asahi Levine' is the only holder of that trait. A 'God Ranked' Trait.

The trait real name is 'God Eyes' but Asahi named it 'Clairvoyance', it is a trait created due to God's mistake. You can see what you 'wished to see' no matter the distance and 'solve what you wish to solve'.

'Thousand-Mile Eyes' is the first Phase of the Clairvoyance Trait which allows the holder to see far away and predict target's movement path. Can also give a satellite view of an area.

Asahi himself believed that he's not using this trait to its full potential as some of its abilities are sealed.

His life was once saved when suddenly see 2 seconds into the future which made him narrowly avoided instant death. It was sudden at a spur of the moment so he does not know how to reactivate that 'Foresight' Ability, risking his life again would be a stupid idea.

Anyways, the trait was extremely powerful but the difficulties of using it is also God Ranked. If any normal person were to acquire this trait, their brain would burst due to the immense amount of things you see when it is not properly controlled.

Asahi Levine was extremely lucky to be able to take dominant over this Trait. With this trait combined with his superb marksmanships skill, there's nothing he couldn't shoot as long as he have enough mana.

The memory of Asahi Levine ended as he coolly walked into the biggest rift to ever appear in the history with his trusted partner (Sniper Rifle) without turning back to look at the crowd of people cheering for his victory.

The sound of the automatic door closing woke Rhys up.

The first thing he noticed is 'light'. He could 'see', not the usual darkness that this body usually see.

'...That was also me in my past life...? How many lives have I lived...?'

Rhys questioned himself, still thinking about the realistic memory be received.

'Did I...inherit the power I held in my past life?'

Rhys thought of the possibilities, as he's now not blind.

'This eyes...it's nostalgic'

Rhys looked around at the countless energy around him, he even see countless atom colliding each other in air.

"Ugh..."

The sight made him feel dizzy which made him shut his eyes but that didn't help much as he even see through his eyes lid.

"Ugh..."

Groaned Rhys, getting more dizzy.

'I really need to put it under control and will it freely...I can already imagine my tiring future...'

Rhys then control his breathing and started slowing down the blood flowing into his eyes.

The things he see started becoming less and less as time goes by.

The door was then opened and a man with his daughter in hand entered.

'Must be Papa and Melissa'

Rhys thought.

David and Melissa asked Rhys question while Rhys is secretly controlling his breathing to slows down his blood.

"Hmm? What do you see?"

David who's curious about Rhys quirk asked.

It was then Rhys successfully entered the 0 stage of his ocular power.

'Phase 0: Undyed Void'

Rhys said mentally as his surrounding turned monochrome. Not only the surrounding in his perspective turned monochrome, his multi-color eyes too changed into that of a glassy silver.

"I see...lights? Ah! everything is gone."

""Huh?""

David and Melissa expressed their confusion as they saw the changes that took place in Rhys eyes.

"Can you still see son?"

David asked Rhys with his face got closer to Rhys face.

"...I can see but...there's no colors"

Rhys stated as he looked around. Trying to not be obvious in hiding the fact that he knew about this power.

"Hmm...I see. Take some rest son. Melissa, do you want to stay here?"

David asked Melissa.

[6 hours later]

Rhys was discharged from the hospital 6 hours as he's healthy, the only thing for him to do is register his quirk which he'll do tomorrow.

Now, he's being covered in a blindfold with his sister dragging him somewhere.

"Melissa, where are we gowing?"

Rhys asked.

"We're almost there~!"

Melissa enthusiastically said, avoiding Rhys's question.

Melissa then halted in front a room 1220, it was the room where the Shield family stayed. She then scanned her eyes, unlocking the door.

*TISSD*

*Creak*

"Come on in~"

Melissa pulled Rhys inside and went somewhere, leaving the blindfolded Rhys in the living room.

"Okay Rhys~ Open the blindfold!"

Melissa instructed Rhys from the side.

"...Okay"

Rhys nodded as he untie the cloth that is covering his eyes.

As soon as he opened his eyes, the next moment surprised him.

*POP!*

*KPOP!*

""!!~SURPRISE~~!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY RHYS!""

David and Melissa yelled from the side after popping the Party Poppers before stuffing a Blowouts in their and blowing it.

"..."

Rhys just stood there, looking at his family celebrating.

A genuine and bright smile unconsciously made its way on Rhys's cute face. His silver eyes once again turned multi-color as it would be a waste to celebrate while only able to see everything in black and white.

That night, the Shield family had a great birthday celebration with full of laughter.

The next day,

Rhys and David are standing outside the hotel room with Melissa in the room.

"Melissa, you'll be late for school. Hurry up~"

Rhys said with a gesture to let Melissa quicken up her pace.

"I'm coming~!"

Melissa replied while running out of the room.

"Now that we're all set, let's go"

David said as he leads the way with Rhys and Melissa following behind.

"Rhys, what will you name your Quirk?"

Melissa started a conversation with Rhys.

"Hmm...? I don't know but I have two in mind. Do you want to choose?"

Rhys suggested while looking at the moved Melissa.

"Yes. Yes! What are the names you got in mind?"

Melissa quickly nodded her head like small cute animal.

"They are 'Thousand-Mile Eyes' and 'Clairvoyance'"

Rhys lifted his index finger when he said the first name and middle finger when he said the latter with his eyes closed. The body movement he made would be cool if he's an adult but it's cute when he's doing it with a the body of a 4 year-old.

"Woah! 'Thousand-Mile Eyes' and 'Clairvoyance', Kakoi na~! Let's go with...Clairvoyance!!"

Melissa complimented before choosing the name.

"Cla-"

Before Rhys could say anything, his father interrupted him by approving.

"Clairvoyance, a mutant type Quirk that allows the holder to see far away and predict target's movement path. A good name and Quirk. You got some great naming sense huh Rhys."

David stated as he ruffled Rhys hair.

"Let's go have your quirk registered shall we?"

""Yeah!""

Rhys and Melissa said in unison.

"Not you Melissa, you have to go to school."

David ruffled Melissa's head and said.

"Uuu~ Papa is so mean~"

Melissa pouted.

"Hehehe"

Rhys just laughed at Melissa pouting face.

'Even if you don't have a quirk Melissa. I will make sure to support you in any way I can'

Rhys thought while stealing a glance at Melissa.

Rhys knew that Melissa is a little bitter at the fact that her brother awakened a Quirk but not her. Her love over her brother overshadowed that bitterness.

The registration went on smoothly. The registered paper information are as follow;

['Rhys Shield', Quirk: Clairvoyance. Allows the quirk holder to predicts object movements and see long distances like it was in front of him. Magnifying equipment and object is an easy task.]

Rhys purposely minimized stating the real power of Clairvoyance aka God Eyes.

Rhys can be seen watching a video that teaches how to read and write.

His father went off somewhere today while Melissa went to school. Rhys wanted to do something productive, so he asked his father to open a video that teaches how to read and write.

It's not weird for Rhys, who's been blinded his whole life, to not be able to read let alone write. The languages in the memories he inherited are...weird. He could understand it but can't comprehend it...?

That's why he needs to start learning from the very beginning.

*Ding Dong~!*

His room's bell rang a soft rhythm.

'Hmm? Pudding delivery?'

Rhys thought to himself before trotting himself over to the door to check. He assumed it to be a delivery as he ordered some sweets for himself.

'Perfect timing. My tiny brain is lacking sugar.'

Rhys arrived at entrance and open the automatic door...

"..."

...Only to be met with a weird smiling giant who has chiseled features on his face with a strong jawline, pronounced cheekbones, and bushy eyebrows. He has short blond hair, swept backwards, with two distinct tufts that stick up above his head, leaning slightly to each side. His strong features regularly casts a dark shadow over his face, hiding everything but his bright blue eyes.

"Hey there! young bo-"

*Swiss*

Rhys closes the automatic door, which closed in a slow manner causing it to be a little awkward, and thought to himself.

'That was some weird man...'

"Hey! Why did you shut the door Young Shonen!"

A strong yet charismatic voice sounded from the other side of the door.

"I shouldn't welcome strangers...especially some weirdo like you. That's what my sister said."

Rhys replied as he double lock his door. The behavior he is performing is from 'Asahi Levine' the Arcane Sniper. He seemed easy-going yet annoying but that's his way of being serious...

"Kuh-! W-Weirdo?! Hey Young Shonen! Dave told me to come here."

The person who spoke Janglish (English + Japanese) seemed to have taken a hit to his pride before asking for a person named 'Dave',

"Dave? You've gotten yourself to a wrong room Mister."

Rhys was genuinely confused, he didn't know who Dave is nor have he heard of him.

"Huh? hmm...this definitely is the right room...What's your name boy?"

The giant man on the other side of the door muttered before asking for Rhys's name.

"It's a proper manner to introduce yourself first. That's what my sister said..."

Rhys stated to the giant man behind the door.

"Ah Yeah...That's right. My mistake. Ahem! Behold! I am the one and only All M-!!"

The giant behind the door realized his mistake before clearing his voice and introduce himself but...Rhys interrupted him before he could grandly introduce himself.

"I am 'Rhys Shield' and just turned 4 year-old. I live with my sister 'Melissa' and Papa. We're a happy family and I like sweets. I also have my quirk!"

Rhys interrupted the giant man to make fun of him since he wanted to release some of the stress he built up and that the man does not seem to be a bad guy.

"Kueahh! This kid..."

The giant man could just facepalmed while having his smile on his face.

'Wait...Shield?'

The giant man's brain just process what Rhys said.

"You said you're Rhys Shield right young boy?"

The giant man asked for confirmation.

"Umu. You got it right."

Rhys nodded, approving what the man said.

It was then Rhys's father voice from the other side of the door entered his ears.

"Toshi! Why are you standing outside?"

"Dave! HAhahahaha! Err...how do I put this?"

The golden giant man loudly laughed before awkwardly scratched the back of his head while taking a glance at the door to the hotel room.

"...?"

Rhys just listened to the conversation his father and the giant man are having. In curiosity, he unlocked the door and opened it.

*Creak*

"Oh! Cheeky Shonen!"

"...Papa, who's this giant man?"

Rhys purposely ignored the giant man and asked his father.

"Rhys...there really is a lot for you to know."

David stated as a matter of fact.

"...Yes, Papa..."

Rhys felt like he's just been scolded.

"Ahahaha!"

The giant man started laughing loudly, annoying Rhys.

"Ahem~!"

He coughed his way out before David interrupted him.

"Anyways, Rhys. Meet my best friend 'Toshinori Yagi'...He's All Might! A person who definitely will one day become the 'Symbol of Peace!'"

"Symbol of...Peace...?"

Rhys looked up to see the confident smile that is plastered across the giant man face. His silver eyes turned multi-color, startling his father and Toshinori before his eyes went back to being silver. But now, Rhys had a smile that screamed 'Amazing' with a few sweat drops formed on his forehead from the stinging pain he's experiencing in his eyes.

"That's right Young Shonen!"

Toshinori Yagi nodded and took a mental note to asked the boy about his quirk.

"Why don't you show him around the room Rhys? I have to go and pick Melissa up from school"

David ruffled Rhys hair and suggested.

"Sure~ Come on in...future Symbol of Peace Uncle!"

Rhys nodded to his father, before trotting inside the room as he told his new uncle to come in.

*Flinched*

Toshinori Yagi flinched hearing what Rhys called him before enthusiastically following Rhys.

"Show me every corners Young man!"

He's in an extremely happy state after being called 'Uncle' by his niece but what made him even more happy is that his niece believed that he will succeed his dream of becoming the Symbol of Peace.

Seeing his best friend getting along with Rhys, David walked away to pick his daughter up with a smile that couldn't calm itself.

Little did Rhys know, that his meeting with the man named 'Toshinori Yagi' will greatly inspired him.

And with this, 3 years went by quickly and the duo became best niece-uncle buddy.
