Veracruz Under Fire

At Cathedral's bridge, Major Larissa Rushford sits in her chair gracefully while her entire crew surrounds her. Behind her, there was a command room where Miroslav and Alexis were.

"Welcome to space battleship Cathedral ladies and gentlemen. We will depart immediately. Our destination is the Gulf of Mexico," said Larissa. His right fingers were seen touching the tablet device to the right of where she was sitting.

"Turbojet engine, ready. System all green!" one of the female operators on the bridge reported. Her male colleague continued.

"Cathedral is ready to launch, ma'am!"

Hearing his men's words, Major Larissa Rushford spoke firmly. "Cathedral, take off!"

From an open gap in the cliffs on the coast of New Haven, a battleship that had a combination of white, and grey with red stripes emerged and soared into the air. The ship has a capsule shape. On its slightly fat tail, it has four wings.

People who were passing by on a nearby bridge were amazed by the sight they saw. Elementary school children playing sports nearby waved their hands. Meanwhile, the adults gave their salute to the ship with the UEF logo on its hull.

In the Cathedral hangar monitor room, Aubrey sat quietly. "Silver bogey, we come for you!" he thought. Even though, there had been no reports that the stolen Mega Armor had appeared.

UEF's Veracruz Outpost, Mexico. Approximately 20 minutes ago, ELC's diver-type Mega Armor suddenly appeared and carried out an attack on one of the UEF's seaside military installations.

Not just from the sea. The rebel robots also carried out attacks from the ground and air. Now, a battle between Mega Armors occurs.

Veracruz Outpost was forced to request reinforcements because the enemy attacked suddenly and on a large scale.

"I'll burn all of you, United Earth pigs!"

"It is said that your existence is to maintain world peace but instead you are oppressing!"

"Remember the Eden…!"

Those are the words spoken by ELC pilots in their cockpits. Some of the Mega Armors used by the rebels are old-model battle robots, made around 10 years ago.

Even so, that doesn't mean their Mega Armor is inferior to UEF's new type of Mega Armor. Veracruz Outpost, which was not ready, was overwhelmed because it was hit in such a way.

ELC troops were pushing into enemy defense territory. Many of UEF's robot troops have fallen.

FHEEEWWW…! FHEEEWWW…!

BDUM…! BDUM…!

PHEW-PHEW! PHEW-PHEW!

BOOOM…! BOOOM…!

A battle occurs. Shots were fired anywhere. In fact, the robots have also started fighting at close range.

"Continue to hold them back, don't let them pass from Area 5!" Colonel Flores, leader of the Veracruz Outpost, gave command to his men.

"Pacula, Berger, Giorgadze, get ready. Once they enter Area 5, beat them back!" Colonel Flores's deputy gave instructions via radio communication to his members who responded.

"Copy that, Major!"

Not all Mega Armor has a design like a knight's armor. Because they are also made according to needs.

Some of the older types of Mega Armor such as those used by ELC do not have a stealthy design and generally have a bulky shape.

Several classic ELC's Mega Armor began to enter Area 5. They succeeded in subduing the UEF's robots.

"What the—"

"Who…"

The ELC troops were shocked. From inside a hangar in front of them, there were beam shots that shot through the doors. So, many of their robots collapsed and exploded.

The dome of the hangar opened. 3 pieces of Mega Armor with a bulky and aerodynamic design soar while firing shots at the enemy.

BHEEEW… BHEEEW… BHEEEW… BHEEEW…!

BOOM…! BOOM…! BOOM…!

ELC did not know that a special unit from Stella Polaris called the Golden Hound from Europe was at the Veracruz Outpost.

Their presence was to train with the Mexican military, now, they intervened to face the rebel's attacks. The three Mega Armors that shot out of their hangar were called Stingrays. The drivers are experienced Stella Polaris' ace pilots.

The presence of the Golden Hound squadron could change things. Apart from the three Stingrays, their squadron of robots succeeded in making the ELC troops unable to do much.

"I just don't understand these rebels. Can't they just let this world calm down a bit?"

"Just leave it. They also make money, but they do it in silly ways."

"Stop gossiping, guys. Get ready to split up. Look there, our troops are being shot at by invisible snipers."

The Stingray pilots communicate with each other. By the time they started to overcome the situation, there were shots on target that hit UEF's Mega Armors from the sky.

BHEEEW…!

BLAM...!

Far above, behind the clouds, a blue mega armor with some orange panels was hovering while shooting at the enemy using his sniper rifle.

"I'm starting to get bored here. Jaegrnaut to Heron, can I go down there?" said the pilot who was in blue Mega Armor. He is contacting his friend.

"No, Jaegernaut. Your task for now is to make your opponent confuse and protect your friends from afar," a woman's voice was heard answering the Jaegernaut pilot's question.

"I shouldn't have accepted the offer to be a sniper, should I?" the Jaegernaut pilot joked.

"Anyway, stay in your position and wait for my orders," replied the woman again.

The battle continues. The ELC troops began to be overwhelmed because the Golden Hound squadron could not be underestimated. However, several Mega Armors which are likely the rebel's mainstay are present.

A black and white robot with an aerodynamic model appeared and seemed to want to face the UEF troops at close range.

On his left arm, there is a three-barrelled cannon. The robot's beam rifle wasn't too big either and it carried two short swords on its back.

It seems that it was specially designed for close combat, the UEF robots had a bit of difficulty dealing with the Mega Armor's agility.

"UEF bastards... you can't restore my family's honor, life must be exchanged for life, remember the Eden!" the woman controlling the black robot said angrily.

Another robot appears to attack the UEF troops. The color is a combination of dark red and black, with some yellow parts.

The Mega Armor seems to be designed for combat at any distance. There is a hyper beam cannon on its right shoulder while a missile pod is mounted on the left shoulder.

Launching his missiles, the robot continued to advance toward the opponent's Mega Armors while firing shot after shot. In the cockpit, the pilot was talking to himself.

"I don't know what's going on with my friends' heads, they say they want revenge. I don't care. For me, carrying out missions with these clowns is for money, no matter who I shoot down. HA HA HA HA…!"

There is another Mega Armor belonging to ELC which is busy shooting at opponents from a distance. The shape is bulky and far from aerodynamic shape.

Occasionally, he fired shots from his two long-barrelled large rifles. There are missile pods on both of its shoulders. The weapons indicate that it is a Mega Armor equipped with heavy artillery.

"Is it true that joining with these people can bring about world peace...? We will see later. I haven't spent much money on them either," the pilot muttered.

The battle continues. The presence of four new types of Mega Armor was reportedly received by Miroslav Ilyakov before Cathedral took off.

The presence of the four robots seemed to give new strength to the rebels. The Golden Hounds are not an ordinary unit, but their numbers are not many.

Even so, the three Stingrays belonging to the elite troops dominated the air. Their beam weapons were in the palms of both hands. The Mega Armors only have three fingers which are sharp like knives.

Many ELC robots have become victims of their shots and close-range attacks. Seeing the presence of the rebels' new Mega Armor, the Stingray pilots communicated with each other.

"Someone has to stop those robots down there while the control tower looks for where the sniper shots are coming from."

"I think we can beat them back."

"Shall we go now?"

BEEEP-BEEEP! BEEEP-BEEEP!

Just as Pacula, Berger, and Giorgadze were still intending to face the enemy's four mysterious Mega Armors, the alarm in their cockpit sounded.

"Bogey detected, guys."

"Be aware of the 12 o'clock direction."

"Their reinforcements are coming?"

From the sky, a silver-white Ride Armor rolled at high speed. Silveraven is here.

"Now I am more prepared than yesterday. Come on, UEF, show us how great you are…!"

FHEEEWSSSHHH…!

Silveraven fired his hyper-energy beam cannon at the UEF troops. There were several robots that were hit by the Riker's attack. Others still managed to escape even with missing hands or feet.

"That was the bogey from Edison!"

"Deal with him first, the rest will come later."

"Let's Go!"

The Stingray pilots decide to confront Riker in his Silveraven. But now, Riker fights smarter, and he is not alone. The rebel robots also protect him.

On land, there is a strategic battle between four Mega Armors of Riker's friends and the Golden Hound squadron.

The robot piloted by Riker flies and changes its form from Ride Armor to Mega Armor to avoid enemies and strike back.

"I have sworn before the graves of my friends… I will destroy you, barbaric Earth troops!" Riker growled.
