Seraph vs Silveraven
Riker continued his actions. He made a lot of UEF's Mega Armor fall because of his hyper-energy rifle. However, he encountered fierce resistance from three enemy Stingrays who worked together to face him.
The battle was fierce. Many times, Silveraven was able to outrun his opponents, mainly because the rebels' Mega Armors protected him. Pacula, Berger and Giorgadze coordinate.
"We have to stop that guy before he kills our friends!"
"He's also agile and his friends are a bit troublesome too."
"We have to find a way to separate him from his friends."
But it isn't easy. As soon as SIlveraven escaped the ambush of his three opponents who were targeting him, the ELC robots confronted Pacula, Berger, and Giorgadze.
Then, Riker had the opportunity to drift toward the Veracruz outpost command center. He also brandished his powerful beam weapon.
"Today, United Earth will know. They don't own this world. The ELC has the power to fight them and Cloudbase will gain independence. For the sake of the victims in Eden!" Riker growled. His fingers were ready to press the button on the yoke to open fire.
But then from a certain direction, beam shots appeared, and missiles launched then destroyed many of ELC's robots.
Those shots caused the ELC's Mega Armors to fall into disarray. Their formation fell apart and the others tried to escape.
The five ELC's new type of Mega Armor pilots were flabbergasted. Their sniper, a blue robot nicknamed Jaegrnaut who was behind the clouds, was forced to change position because the shots almost hit him.
"Damn UEF…, their reinforcement is coming?!" Dino, Jaegernaut pilot shocked. Yes. He is the person who helped Riker when Silveraven clashed with Stella Polaris at Edison.
"Jaegernaut, get out of there. It seems the UEF knows where you are!" a woman's voice was heard on the Jaegrnaut's cockpit communications device.
"Copy that, Heron!"
The missile and beam shots came from the Cathedral. The UEF's secret warship has arrived in Veracruz. While maneuvering and still firing the cannons, UEF's Draco and Aquila came out of the hull of the aircraft carrier.
"Mega Armor troops, scatter. Alpha Team came with me ashore to face three new enemy Mega Armors. Beta Team, clear the air!" Alexis Saunders gives the order.
"Yes, sir!"
It's not just Aiden and Karenina who are trusted to pilot the new Mega Armor. Alexis himself is now riding a custom Mega Armor prototype called: Lupus II.
Lupus II is a development of standard Lupus where the robot body design becomes more aerodynamic.
Alexis' Lupus II color is also the same as the pilot's nickname. Pearl white combined with gray and black highlights on some of its parts. Not to be missed, the Alpha Pack squadron banner is emblazoned on the left shoulder.
"United Earth bastards…, Wolfanger, don't let your guard down!" the pilot of ELC's new red Mega Armor exasperated. He talked to his friend via their communication network.
"Roger that, Crimsonite. Besides, I'm not afraid of them!" said the woman riding the black Mega Armor.
"Hey, Angelicore, are you too cowardly to come forward? Don't just shoot from a distance!" the Crimsonite pilot quipped at his friend, who was using bulky Mega Armor with heavy weaponry.
"Shut up, Crimsonite. I'm trying to read the situation. If it's not needed, why am I going forward? Besides, my robot is better used for long-range combat," the Angelicore pilot calmly replied, as he piloted his robot away from where he was.
"You sissy bastard…!" the Crimsonite pilot muttered.
Cathedral's arrival was a game changer for UEF. Because now, more Stella Polaris troops are arrived at the Veracruz outpost.
Alexis alone was able to work on Crimsonite and Wolfanger. The White Wolf seemed to immediately know what the fighting style of the two Mega Armors was like.
He continued to stay out of Crimsonite's shooting range and was reluctant to engage Wolfanger from too close a distance.
"ELC's Mega Armors were stolen robots too? Because if it's custom-made…, it's impossible. The frames of these robots seem to be completely new. The pilots are also quite well-trained. Someone seems to have prepared everything," thought Alexis.
In his robot cockpit, the Crimsonite pilot was also trying to guess who the opponent he was facing.
"We must be facing one of Stella Polaris' ace pilots… who is this person? Looks like he is very experienced. But who cares? The important thing is, they paid me enough to shoot at UEF Mega Armors… HAHA…!"
In the sky, Silveraven continued to try not to be trapped by the Stingray formation. Many of his friends' Mega Armor had fallen due to the arrival of Cathedral troops.
"Who are the people on the aircraft carrier?" Riker thought. "Another UEF's special unit?"
Continuing to move swiftly and change his robot form, Riker fought as best he could against the three Stingrays who kept targeting him.
After firing another shot from his hyper beam rifle, Riker again ran away from his pursuers.
But the moment he took to the air, Riker was shocked. A Mega Armor combined with black and gray came, then followed him from behind while firing its weapon.
BHEEEW…! BHEEEW…! BHEEEEW…!
"What? This Mega Armor…"
Seraph. Riker made the Mega Armor which he drives move in a zigzag maneuver while Seraph continued to shoot its red beams at him.
From inside their cockpit, the Stingrays pilots received a communication link from the type X Mega Armor.
"Stingrays, fall back. You guys can help the White Wolf. Let me deal with this bogey!"
"Copy that, sir. He is all yours," Captain Marek Pacula, leader of the Stingrays answered the voice that contacted them. "Stingrays, we retreat and hand silver bogey to gray shadow."
Marek said to his friends and the three Stingrays swooped down towards where Alexis was.
"Who's that?" Lieutenant Karel Berger asked his superior.
Lieutenant Otto Giorgadze also commented, "From his voice, I think that is… Captain Aiden Wildemann?"
"Yes, that's Aiden," answered Marek. "It looks like The Mansion has handed over the silver bogey case to the right people."
"You really need someone who is ambitious enough to deal with these naughty rebels," said Otto.
There was a chase between Seraph and Silveraven. Aiden, who was in the cockpit of his new Mega Armor, tried to aim at the opponent.
"Damn, Aubrey… my rifle response seems too slow!" Aiden complained. He contacted his little brother who was in the Cathedral monitoring room.
"Is that true…?" Aubrey asked in his calm manner.
"'Is that true'…?! You must sit here and try it yourself. You'll definitely find out right away! I should have been able to shoot at least the leg of that God damn robot, Aubrey!"
"You can get around with it, can't you?"
"Get around with it, how--, this is not the time to be thinking about life hacks, Aubrey! OK, fine. Maybe I'll try to engage him in close combat."
"That's what I'm talking about. You are an ace pilot. You must be able to figure something out."
Hearing Aubrey's words, his elder brother grumbled in his heart. "If he wasn't my little brother and wasn't that smart, I would ask Araia to fire him…!"
In the monitoring room inside the Cathedral's hangar. Aubrey took off the headset he was wearing. Then, he grabbed his cell phone which he placed on the table or more precisely, a device that supports his work. He made a telephone call.
"This is Aubrey Wildemann, please connect me with Mr. Williamson," said Aubrey. Not long after, someone was heard saying to him.
"Yes, Mr. Wildemann?"
"Mr. Williamson, what happened to Seraph's rifle?"
"Sorry Mr. Wildemann, the rifle has not yet been tested. We didn't know Seraph would be brought into action so soon."
"In your opinion, should the rifle be calibrated again, or should we give him a new weapon?"
"For now? Actually, there is another rifle that I think is suitable for the current situation..."
"If you think another weapon is more suitable, we'll just use that one."
"We need to put the finishing touches on him."
"In how many days can the 'final touches' be completed?"
"If the technicians work overtime, the rifle will be ready the day after tomorrow."
"I'll talk about it with Ms. Benedict."
Aubrey's conversation with his co-worker is over. Not far away from him, Araia Benedict was sitting while smoking. He looked at Aubrey and then asked.
"What's wrong, dear brother?"
"The weapons design department will be working overtime starting today, Ms. Benedict," Aubrey answered calmly.
"Alright. I'll contact the personnel department."
On the battlefield. Seraph is wearing Skyburner mode. On his back, there is a jetpack booster with a pair of large wings and a pair of small wings.
All Mega Armor uses nuclear-based fuel. The world does not yet allow the Space Era war machines to use Rochellium but Silveraven does.
Scientists have been able to confirm that the results of the combustion of the Mega Armor engine which uses Rochellium can make the battle robot go faster while flying. Even so, Seraph seemed able to match his enemy's speed.
