Welcome Feast

Lady Moon, being the Sect Leader, was of course a busy person. After apologizing lightly, she left the three behind before vanishing like mist once more. From her words, her presence was apparently needed for the preparation of the welcome party.

"Now then, shall we prepare too?"

Liao Xu Mei immediately suggested after Lady Moon left. The other two looked at each other, confused about what she was meaning to say.

"Prepare what, Senior?" Quinlan asked.

The event up next was just a simple welcoming party, after all. Quinlan was completely clueless about what preparation they would need. Xu Mei crossed her arms before her chest, looking at Quinlan from head to toe, before turning to Xiyadie and doing the same.

"... First, you would need to change attires."

The two of them further got confused. The current clothes they're wearing were the "standard" uniform for the disciples in the Unity Peak Sect. They were completely out of the loop regarding the reason why they needed to change out of it.

"You two seem confused, but that's clothes for training only." Xu Mei began to explain while she took out a pouch hanging from her side. "The welcoming party is a formal event, so we need to wear formal clothes too."

After she searched for a while inside the pouch, she then took out a tape measure, a sewing kit, and two sets of expensive-looking robes.

"You two probably don't have expensive-looking clothes, so I'll just adjust one of mine for now to fit you two."

Quinlan turned to look down, at his own two mountains, then to Xiyadie, whose own were about, if not more, than Quinlan's. Then, finally, he turned to Xu Mei, feeling a mix of pity and worry, since she wasn't as blessed as the two.

"Want me to shave off that fat lump you're proud of?"

But her response to Quinlan's pitying gaze was pretty violent, causing him to straighten up and push away any idle thoughts.

"What are you talking about, Senior Sister? I was just envious of your well-proportioned body as if perfectly made for battles!" Although he wasn't really accustomed to buttering up others, he at least knew how to do it.

Xu Mei narrowed her eyes, as if unconvinced by Quinlan's excuse, before snorting lightly and pulling the tape measure in her hands. "Come on, we don't have time. Which one will go first?"

After that, Quinlan and Xiyadie got their measurements taken before Xu Mei adjusted the expensive-looking fairy robes to fit their bodies. Well, sadly, the only thing she needed to do was to loosen up the chest area to let the two fit into it.

A sort of murderous aura was leaking out of her the entire time she was adjusting the two's clothes, causing both Quinlan and Xiyadie to remain as quiet as a rock the entire time.

After a while, the two's clothes were done.

The design of their robes was simple: a tight, glittery, silk robe that emphasized their curvaceous lines, with a wide rim sleeve hanging down up to below their knees. Their skirt goes down to their toes, with two slits running up to their waist, exposing a lot of skin. It was a mix of luxurious and enchanting, making Quinlan feel a little Queasy wearing it.

"I feel like a lot of things would be visible when I walk..."

Even Xiyadie was a little worried about it. Still, she carried herself with poise, as if she was a noble herself.

Quinlan, while holding down the skirt, trying to make it stay in place, raised his hand. "Uhm, Senior Sister, can I wear something underneath, at least...?"

Currently, the two of them were wearing the robe and the robe alone. Xu Mei forbade them to wear anything underneath, saying "It would ruin the attire's entire purpose."

As he expected, Xu Mei merely snorted to his request, before turning around and leaving the Crystal Pavillion. Quinlan and Xiyadie had no choice but to follow behind her.

Outside, Liao Xu Mei had already taken out her Giant Sword artifact, and standing firmly on top of it. She then turned to glance at the two, motioning for them to come up.

When they finished boarding, the Giant Sword began to fly forward, accelerating gently until they were going fast enough that the scenery blurs past them.

Their destination was the building that was situated way behind the Hall of Beginnings. There, a few others also arrived at the same time as Quinlan and the others did, meeting at the large courtyard that was right in front of the large building.

"This is the Sect's Large Dining Hall. This is where most celebrations are held, so better keep that in mind." Xu Mei explained in a low whisper.

Quinlan looked up, examining the building's appearance. It looked like a normal restaurant from a glance, a Chinese one, with the thick smell of enchanting food coming from inside.

*GROWL!*

Xiyadie's stomach let out a low growl, causing her face to turn red from embarrassment.

"I'm getting hungry too," Quinlan smiled, reassuring Xiyadie. "Senior, can we go in already?"

"Of course you can," Xu Mei answered immediately, walking ahead of the two. "Follow me, I'll lead you to the area reserved for the Diamond Crystal Peak disciples."

The three of them walked forward, causing gazes to turn to them like they were magnets pulling in metal. After all, the three of them were wearing matching clothes. Furthermore, the charm they had was enough to enchant even those of the same gender, especially Quinlan and Xiyadie, who had quite some assets to boast of.

While walking, however, Quinlan noticed that the other new disciples were still wearing the same training clothes. This made him frown, thinking that Xu Mei tricked them into changing clothes to that revealing robe.

"Xiao Mei, Yinuo, Xiyadie, over here!"

From within the hall, lit by the gentle orange light from the chandeliers, a single figure was waving toward them. Lady Moon was already sitting down, her clothes the exact same design as what the three were wearing. Seeing this, Quinlan quickly changed his mind, throwing the complaint he had to Xu Mei out the window.

The inside was arranged just like how a restaurant would be, with round tables placed all over, spaced evenly. The seat that Lady Moon had reserved was at the forefront, the one closest to the stage that was occupying the latter quarter of the hall, which most probably was the seat of honor.

Quinlan finally realized the real reason why they changed clothes. It was a statement, a declaration to the other newbies, that the Diamond Crystal Peak has more privilege, and is more amazing than the other peaks.
