The next day, Quinlan was awake before the sun even peeked over the horizon. No, rather than just waking up, he stayed up all night, preparing for his next few fights. His desk was littered with little notes he wrote while trying to practice a few moves that Yinuo taught him.
"It's more like a placebo than anything, though." He sighed as he stood up, walking toward the entrance.
As he got out, the cold winds swept across his exposed skin. However, unlike when he just came here, he wasn't bothered by it as much. It wasn't much, but it clearly indicates his improvement from when he just arrived.

And just as he was wondering how to pass the time, he noticed two figures walking toward him from the forest. One looked like she was dying, her face pale with her limbs shaking uncontrollably, like a newborn foal. While the other was smiling sweetly, like a kid that just got her New Year's Red Packet.
