Seven

I've been looking for the guardian for two week and a half now and it seems like he's nowhere to be found. But at least the deer is still with me and he's with me everywhere. His wound will soon be healed, as usual we walk in the forest looking for berries. But we come across wolves and they surround us.

I try to fight the wolves but one of them comes straight at the deer , I decide to get between the wolf and the deer but the wolf still manages to hurt my arm. I look at the deer and see that he's ok then they come towards me.

I can't attack because I'm afraid they'll kill the deer if I attack them. And after the last attack I got, my arm is still bleeding . All of a sudden the guardian appears and the wolves take advantage of that moment to run away. After all this time I finally found you.

"You're okay ?" asked the guardian but I'm surprised when I heard his voice it's like a woman voice.

" Your a woman? " I asked suprise, I just thought that it was a man with long hair.

"Yeah I'm woman ,now shut up and show me your arm"

I didn't think the guardian would be a woman, but all of a sudden she seems very sympathetic. She observes my injury, which I don't think is too serious. before looking at me weirdly.

" What a strange wound? there is just blood but no injury." She said before bandaging my wonds.

I go to the deer and see that he is ok and take him in my arms. I'm glad that he is fine now. He have been following me since two weeks and I don't want him to get hurt by my fault.

"Thank you for coming to save us. If you hadn't been, I don't know what would have happened." I said to the guardian.

" No worries now you can go back to the house on top"

No I can't leave until she became my master, so I have to make an excuse. I hope she is going to accept my request.

" You better go back to the house your arm is hurt and it could get even worse." She told me seriousely.

" No, don't worry about me and as long as the deer is not healed I refuse to leave it." This is the best thing that I find to stay here.

" Well, do as you like in that case but if you die because of your wound don't say I didn't warn you now it's time for me to go"

The guardian leaves but me and the deer keep following her for hours and then the guardian decides to stop for a while.

" How much longer are you going to follow me, you'll be following me for hours"

" We'll follow you as long as it takes " at least until you become my master.

" Well, since you seem so motivated to follow me, I'll take you to my lair." She said not so motivated.

We follow the guardian to his lair and go to a big tent and a fire. It's in a part of the forest that I had never seen before, there is a lot of animals who live in peace. I want to ask her a lot of question. But I my belly rumble.

"Can you stay with the deer for a while?" I asked her, I'm going to get us some food.

"Yes, why?" she respond to me.

I don't answer her question, go deep into the forest then went to the river from last time to fish and I catch a lot of fish then I go back to the guardian in a good mood, I'm pround of me for having fishing a lot of fish.

" I am back ." I said showing them the fish I had caught.

" You were just out to get fish. I thought you'd abandoned us." How can she think that about me.

" Don't say that anyway, I told you I won't leave until the deer is healed."

I went to the fire and then cook all the fish I caught and give it to the deer and eat it too. I notice the guardian is away.

" Hey, you come and eat fish with us too, it's delicious."

"No thanks, I don't want any. " Her stomach starts to rumble.

" Are you sure you don't want any?" I ask her with an amused look.

"I do want some after all."

She takes some fish from me and eats them in embarrassment, which makes me laugh. She looks so kind like that. It's not like the first time I met her.

"Please come over here." Said the guardian.

I went up to her and she puts an ointment on my arm and then puts a bandage on my arm.

"Thank you, that's really nice of you." I said in remerciment.

" I'm not going to let you die without doing anything." How could I die, it's just an injury.

" The wolves that attacked you earlier. Well, there was venom in their fangs."

" What?" I said surprised.

"Yes, it's true"

I could have died so stupidly again. I lay down on the floor and a ghost came out of my mouth. After that I get up and then go to the deer to pet it.

" I have a question for you Ava ?" I nods in respons.

" You could have defeated the wolves from before easily. I wanted to know why you didn't?" It's just that, I thought she would like to ask me something else.

" I was afraid that while I was fighting them, they would attack the deer and kill it." I really want tthe deer to find his parent again.

" So you were more worried about the deer's life than your own?"

" Not really, I just think the deer is important and deserves to live, I found it injured so I wouldn't give it up"

" That's a great way to look at it." She looked impressed by what I had said.

" What's your name ?" Since I had met her I just call her the guardian but I want to know her real name.

" I'm Naoki and you are Ava. I'm right ?" I didn't tell her my name but she know it.

" Yeah, I'm going to go to sleep, see you tomorrow."

" See you tomorrow."

I fell asleep in the guardian's tent and then the morning came quickly and I woke up and greeted the guardian and the deer.

"Today you will follow me too?" she asked tired.

" Of course I will, I have nothing else to do anyway."

I follow the guardian and at the same time it allows me to know what she does every day. Well she protects the animals and apart from that she takes naps every hour she's really lazy.

"Wake up, stop sleeping" I shake her around.

" You're annoying , let me sleep in peace." She said angrily

" No, I'm bored and I have nothing else to do. So I'm talking to you."

"You sleep too, you'll see that it's the best thing to do when you're bored."

" I'm not sleepy and who's say you won't run away while I'm sleeping"

Suddenly there is a gunshot, it must have come from below and Naoki rushes down as fast as she can. I do the same arriving at the place where the gunshot came from, we see three armed with magic gunshot men attacking a herd of deer.

"We have to go and help the deer, we can't leave them like that."

Naoki directly attacks one of the three men and disables him. The other two are frightened and start to walk away. Naoki runs after them but they both shoot at her.

I see her body hit the ground and then move closer to her and see a lot of blood. She breathes weakly. I feel tears coming out of my eyes and a big amount of magic coming out of my body.

After that black hole. I don't remember anything. It's like I fell asleep. When I wake up Naoki, Louise and gradma are beside me.

"You finally wake up?" I look around, we were in grandma's room but I don't see the deer.

"What happened?" I say worried.

"First of all, you slept for a whole week, the doe group is fine and you're the one who saved my life Ava. " Said Naoki.
