A great piece of work. The grammar is immaculate, with no errors that I could see. Character development, even of side characters, is great, as author gives them backstory and fleshed them out for a bit before introducing them to action. World backround: There's plenty of snippets that give you the impression of the state of the world. Dialogue of characters feels natural, and without hitching, without akward formats or the dreaded "User: example" that many people hate. The power progression is believable, not too fast or too slow. The main character is easy to like, and hard to get frustrated at. His motivations are good, namely to protect previous people and his own freedom. His morals are flexible enough to not be a goody two shoes that many fans don't like about the OG spide-man. His use of existing recourses actually shows that extra intelligence that Peter was known for. And the writing style itself is easy to read and enjoy. Al in all, a great fic, definely recommend to read. 10/10.
Definitely surprised by this story, don't expect to find such quality. For people who complain about the typical stereotypes. Mc is not beta and is not idiot He's actually quite smart and charismatic. The story progresses at a good pace and does not fall into the typical cliches. Like: Mc with a hero complex or being complacent with other people to the degree of stupidity. In short, a good story and a good pace. Eagerly awaiting new chapters. (Translator)
Cousin Richard is seen to be alive and well in this film, as he evades death countless times. Although this time, things are different. Cousin Richard's death in 'Father, cousin Richard survived' after the first crusade was shown to be long-lasting. His body remained in place for a long amount of time. This directly contrasts Richard's death in this short film. But what does this mean? Well there are two conclusions that could be drawn here. Either Cousin Richard is powering up, in an attempt to overthrow Father. Or the darker, and worse conclusion - the one I personally believe: Son was holding back on Cousin Richard. This unfortunate conclusion has more than enough proof to be a reasonable suspicion. In 'Son, have you been simping recently?' Son is seen telling Father that Cousin Richard has survived, through discord DMs. However, directly contrasting this, Son acts as if he does not know that Cousin Richard was alive in 'Father, cousin Richard survived'. But what does this mean? It could be that Son's heretic mind is protecting Cousin Richard. [22:16] Another piece of evidence for Son's heresy is the quote 'Maybe they're onto something' after reading the heresy brought to him by Cousin Richard. This piece of foreshadowing occurs after Father has disappeared from a distance where he could hear Son. This dramatic line tells a chilling narrative: it shows Son's descent into heresy and madness. Cousin Richard's influence over Son will always be there. Cousin Richard has been allowed to live by Son, as Son is a heretic at heart. This means that Cousin Richard is alive and well, and ready to take down Father. Perhaps he will overthrow father, and defeat the holy crusaders from the inside. This is all leading to an epic conclusion within the Bread Boys Cinematic Universe - I believe the final tale to be told will be Son's betrayal of Father, revealing himself to be the heretic who protected Cousin Richard. Father, being the hero he is, will need to convince Son to return from his evil ways, and become a holy crusader once more. Truly genius, Bread Boys. Genius.
