did you just use Examine on a screen?]

I was trying to Examine Agent Romanoff.

[okay well, quick run-down. to Examine something you need line of sight. I can't provide results from a photo, video, or live viewing, no matter how hard you squint at it you won't get any other result because you nor I am omniscient or omnipotent]

okay okay, line of sight required got it. "sir, we have possible anomalous activity at the Sunny Side Trainyard." I turned to the agent that had spoken, "show me" the staff pulled up a feed of an old train yard with a few workers pushing against another worker that was standing still. even with three other workers pulling and pushing him he never moved an inch, strangely though, he seemed to be sliding in the opposite direction the workers were attempting to push him.

realizing I had attempted to Examine through a screen again I simply looked at each screen, Natasha on one, and the anomalous on the other. sorry Black Widow, like a Skyrim main quest, you and SHIELD are being set aside for later. "continue to monitor the woman but do not engage in any way, start a file on an organization called SHIELD and list her as an operative, continue to monitor the area around the compound as well, they may come to investigate again." The staff looked at me blankly, "sir we barely know how to work these computers, we have no idea how to start a file". I stared at them, jeez I needed to buy some Tech Staff soon.

I moved quickly to get to the yard, but it still took me till nightfall. as I walked towards the suspected location, there were drag marks all over, but no one was there anymore. I took a moment to think about what would happen if I left the nail, lodged two-thirds of its length into the dirt, right where it was buried. I let out a sigh as I approached what I knew to be SCP-272 or as I liked to call it The Shadow Nail.

I felt its small mental effect pass through my head as I picked it up, a shiver running down my spine. I turned the nail over in my hand, inspecting every inch of it.

this anomalous spike will restrict the movement of its victim to movements that would keep its shadow cast on the spike. if the target's shadow would leave the spike via a change of light source, the subject will be moved at the exact rate required to keep the spike in the creature's shadow regardless of obstacles, obstruction, or damage done to the subject. the spike is also impossible for the subject to remove and forced attempts by the subject result in death via cranial hemorrhage, attempts to destroy the spike result in the same for any person]

I carefully secured the spike in a small wooden box which I then tucked under my coat. we may not be ready to secure live anomalies at the facility, but 272 was pretty inert and without sentience or autonomy. I began to make my way back through the sewers, not in as much of a hurry as the anomaly was secured.

I made it back in a few hours, dragging my feet in exhaustion, I realized I hadn't slept since I arrived in the MCU. I passed 272 to a nearby researcher, "Secure this object, classification is Safe, it's non-autonomous and simply needs to be secured in the Overseers office, no researchers are to attempt experiments without my express permission." with that said I went to the nearest humanoid containment chamber and passed out.

Live in the Light- every day at sunrise your biological age will be reversed by 24 hours as long as your powers are not suppressed, this ability is linked to your original dimension and will function even if you are in another

Research and Experiments- gain 200 points per week

Host use- gain 75 points per week

do be aware that if you successfully terminate any SCP you will permanently gain 50% of that anomalies value]

I had woken up to a few notifications, I scrolled through them quickly, noting that I no longer aged nor slept, that I finally had a second active ability, and that I could use 272 and still gain points from it. I assumed that because making the facility actively research an SCP increases the amount gained, it must also increase the chance of a security breach or accident that I would have to pay to repair.

walking back to the Overseer I gave my protocols "begin research of new anomaly designated SCP-272, during transportation around the facility it must be accompanied by two or more researchers, and if an accident happens and one researcher becomes affected by 272 they are to remain calm as the other attending researcher removes the anomalous object, all tests must be carefully documented and always observed by two staff that do not include the D-class undergoing experimentation. while not in an active experiment the object is to be kept securely inside a wooden container that is marked and labeled accordingly."

the Overseer nodded and began typing.

the security staff of Site MU-1 has reached level 2, a notable exception is Private Jones, who has reached Level 3]

"promote Private Jones to Head of Site Security," I said the Overseer's eyes widened, probably wondering how I knew that Jones had exceeded expectations when it had happened not too long ago.

I went down to the observation room and commanded a status report from a nearby guard "Sir, the woman has moved on, but black SUVs have begun patrolling the nearby sewer grates and several of our eyes have been painted over" I sighed, I guess I had to have a nice conversation with a man who'd paranoia was second only to caped crusader of DC.

sorry for the delay, I had some trouble with the app not letting me load the pages, I had to uninstall/reinstall to get anywhere

in other news, it has been brought to my attention that I made a mistake with the Kamar Taj where I had mistakenly called it the Taj Mahal, with this being said chapter release may slow since I've begun doing more research on the topics, I also won't be rewriting the chapter and would like to work that in as soon as I figure out how a man specifically chosen for his knowledge of Marvel got that wrong
