Rossi.

Max was out in the middle of the night. The rain was no more. It was the first time in months he got 'fresh' air. Max was wearing a black coat and a hat.

He arrives at a bar 10 miles away from his phone. 'Fuzzy Duck.' He enters the bar and looks around. In the building were 3 people. 2 bartenders and one customer with a guitar case beside her.

Max gets a seat to step away from her.

"I want to have some 'Bad Thoughts.' Icy"

One of the bartenders prepared the drink and the woman looked at him.

"Long time no see Max… How is your girl?"

"For now, safe."

"I got your piece, just need the numbers."

Max puts the phone on the table. He taps it's back. The woman checks hers, a notification is seen on her screen from her crypto wallet.

"Nice doing business… Mastermind."

She leaves the bar without her guitar case and paying for the drink.

"Did she pay?"

"She doesn't have to anymore, it's her place now."

Said one of the bartenders.

They give him the drink and he chugs it. He looked at his phone, 5:25 am was the clock.

"Strong shit!" He pays the drink, grabs the guitar case and goes off the door.

At his house detective Gray wakes up. Her hair was a mess. She looks around and doesn't find Max anywhere. She asks the butler, but he gives no answer on his master's whereabouts.

The time was 6:58 and he still didn't come back. She goes upstairs and looks at the board. The butler made some tea.

"Matthew, why do I speculate Maxwell is going back on the way before I found out who he was?"

"Lady Samantha, he never quit."

"So I'm still working with a vigilante?"

The butler's honest silence made everything clear.

He leaves her alone as she tries to find more Monika 'Red Lady' Ivanov.

As Samantha sips on her tea, she gets on Max's pc and starts digging into Monika Ivanov's past. She had been tracking Ivanov for months, and Max had been her only lead. But now, Max was gone and she was back to square one.

She pulls up Ivanov's file and starts going through it again, looking for any new information. As she scrolls through the pages, she notices something she hadn't seen before - a connection between Ivanov and a local crime boss, Marco Rossi.

Samantha quickly writes down the information and decides to pay Rossi a visit. She gets dressed and heads out, determined to get to the bottom of this.

When she arrives at Rossi's hideout, she's greeted by his goons. But Samantha is not one to back down easily. She shows them her badge and demands to see Rossi.

After a few tense minutes, Samantha is escorted to Rossi's office. Rossi is a burly man with a thick Italian accent. He eyes Samantha up and down before speaking.

"What can I do for you, detective?"

"I'm investigating Monika Ivanov," Samantha says, getting straight to the point. "And I have reason to believe she's connected to you."

Rossi's eyes narrow. "I don't know who you're talking about," he says, trying to sound convincing.

Samantha pulls out the file and lays it on his desk. "Don't play dumb with me, Rossi. I know you've been doing business with her. And I want to know what it is.

Rossi sighs. "You speak of the Red Lady? Yes we have been working with each other. Miss gray you have a renown, and I know I can't lie to you, but I can make you disappear."

A big man knocks her out.

Samantha's head hit the ground hard, and she blacked out. When she woke up, she was tied to a chair in a dimly lit room. Her head was throbbing, and she could feel a lump forming on the back of her head.

Rossi was standing in front of her, a sinister grin on his face. "Welcome back, detective. I hope you had a nice nap," he said sarcastically.

Samantha glared at him. "You're going to regret this, Rossi. My team will find me, and they'll bring you down."

Rossi chuckled. "I highly doubt that, detective. You see, I have many friends in high places. And they're all very interested in what you know about Monika Ivanov."

Samantha's heart sank. She had been so close to cracking the case, and now she was trapped with no way out.

She doesn't give up; she tries to remove her restraints, but fails.

Max finally arrives home. He goes into his office only to see a subfolder open in Ivano's case. Marco Rossi.

"She left didn't she?"

"Indeed she did."

Said the butler. Max opens the case only to pull out a massive weapon. On it were the inscriptions 'XE-34 LUNETE.'

I guess Mastermind is gonna come back to Detroit, isn't it?"

He goes down in the basement and opens a secret door containing a suit, weapons and different tech devices.

He puts the suit on. And adds some gadgets on it alongside a silenced pistol and a knife.

"Time for trouble." I heard from him. His voice was changed and had a more rough tone.

He exits through a tunnel system on top of some buildings and jumps one over another with high speeds.

"How could Bat-Man could do this on a daily basis?"

"Batman is a comic, you are the real deal sir."

*Car noises*

"There is something in Rossi's district."

*Typing*

"Indeed it is sir. Your partner, Miss Gray, entered Rossi's restaurant and never saw her out.

"No cars left the building, but one motorbike. Rossi's son Mateo, he ran somewhere, I'll look into that later."

Sounds of the city in the morning are alarming.

Max continues his pursuit, jumping from one building to another with lightning-fast speed. He finally reaches Rossi's hideout and lands softly on the rooftop. He sees a group of goons patrolling the area and quickly takes them down one by one with his skills.

Max then makes his way to the entrance of the hideout and finds it heavily guarded. He takes a deep breath and uses his gadgets to disable the security system. He then sneaks in and takes down the remaining guards.

Max finally finds Samantha tied to a chair in a dimly lit room. He quickly frees her and helps her to her feet.

"My knight in shiny armor"

Rossi's voice is heard not so far off.

"Stay here, I'll hide and I'll take him by surprise."

She gets her hand again behind the chair.

"So what can we do now?"

"Nothing inappropriate I suppose…"

Max puts his gun at Rossi's head.

"A USP is at the back of your empty head bastard."

"So you are back in town Vigilante."

"I'll go by Mastermind. And indeed I'm back. Now tell me everything you know about the Red Lady and I'll let you live."

"You won't kill me, I am the only source you have on her."

"That's a lie, she might have no ties with known people like you, but those people are afraid of bad publicity so they are an easy target…"

Rossi sighs.

"You've heard nothing from me. The Red Lady is a vicious woman. Controls the live meat trafficking. I am just a pon in her deals, a middle man. When those detectives were brought to me… I…"

"Detectives?" Said Sam.

"What do you mean detectives?"

"Your colleagues, detective, two of them, both young…"

"Did you kill them?"

Silence fills the room.

"Yes indeed I did, my own hands are filled with their blood, and I was about to kill you too before this buffon came in and made my plans go off the rails."

Max presses a button on his wrist.

"You can tell that to the police. Good job faking your captivity Miss Gray. I'll send you the recording."

He then knocks Rossie out and leaves the building unseen.

Gray handcuffs Rossi and moves him outside.

Where 10 police cars were waiting to assault the building.

"The vigilante saved me." She said.

"THE VIGILANTE IS BACK!"
