1) Abbot (free) : potion creation affinity*. No advantages. No flaws.

*While you can become very good in any branch of magic with hard work, it is impossible to go above a certain level of proficiency without an affinity. For example, while you may master every transfiguration spells with training, becoming a natural animagus requires at least a minor transfiguration affinity. Without a potion affinity, you will never be able to modify or invent recipe aside of sheer dumb luck. There is a reason for the limited number of animagus and potion master after all.

2) Bones (+ 100 KP) : necromancy magic affinity, no related knowledge available. Estranged branch family of the Bones family of the sacred 28, so no political advantage.

3) Brown (free) : household charm affinity. No advantages. No flaws.

Well, I guess it's time for some reading. And it seems like the screen does not answer question either.

In the end I decided to go for the Lovegood family. The affinity wasn't really important, but the Lovegood was the editor of the Quibbler, the ONLY other newspaper in great Britain. Furthermore, I remember that the father loved his child a lot, if I'm not wrong he betrayed Harry to save his daughter, so loving father for me. As for the mother dying ? I'll try to stop it, but I'll survive even if she doesn't.

Ah, looks like inbreeding DOES make you stronger. I guess the whole 'magic is in your blood' has some truth in it. But I don't think it's worth some genetic disease.

In the end I went for Ollivander. From memory, he had no heir, so even if there is no written advantage in the template, I think I can make use of that.

- Look at that ass (- 50 KP) : you are genetically handsome. Your looks will still be influenced by your life experience.

- I win sport competitions for fun (- 100 KP) : you are a born athlete. You will gain useful muscle mass easily, have a better control over your body and use your body more efficiently. You are also more healthy than the common wizard.

- Greek god* (- 500 KP) : your body is magically perfect. You are one of the top 1% most handsome wizards, and whatever you do, you will never get fat, lose your muscles, or get ugly. You are forever in your top shape and you cannot catch average diseases or sickness. You have great physical strength and stamina, as well as improved vision and reflexes. You also have an improved healing factor (for a wizard) that will allow scars to disappear with time, and even make an arm or a leg regrow if cut (with a LOT of time) . Curses, voodoo, dark rituals and the like can still leave scars or prevent healing.

- I'm this world J. K. Rowling (- 100 KP) : you know how to write books that greatly appeal to your readers. This advantage only help to put on paper your stories, it does not give you the stories per se, you will need to be creative.

- Mage sight (-100/cost heavily reduced because of 'Ollivander bloodline', and 'greek god') : you will awaken mage sight when your core mature enough. It allow one to see magic in a way no one else can.

- Want to polish my wand ? (- 50 KP/cost greatly reduced because of 'Ollivander bloodline' and 'Mage sight') : you have an major affinity for wandlore. While you won't create the deathstick, you have the potential to one day succeed Ollivander.

- Daddy's boy only (+ 100 KP)(locked) : your mother will die in a tragic accident. Don't try to prevent it, as fate as decreed such.

- For the greater good (+ 250 KP)(locked) : Albus Percival Dumbledore is not as light as he would like Magical Britain to think. He is a dangerous manipulator for whom the end justifies the means. Lucky for you, you are not the child of prophecy so he don't care about you, but beware ! Who knows what would happen if you catch his interest.

- Mine is smaller than yours (+ 250 KP)(locked) : your magical core is small. While it won't impact your everyday life too much, you will never produce grand feats of magic without depending on exterior factors. The number of spell you can cast before becoming magically exhausted is greatly reduced. The maximum power you can put in a spell in greatly reduced. No amount of training can change this condition.

- I deserve only the best (+ 250 KP)(locked) : you have a tendency to seek the best things in life, at your detriment sometimes. You'd rather spend all your pocket money to have the best Hogwarts robes available, even if that mean you won't be able to buy that book you wanted so much. It also means that you don't bother trying to associate with the common rabble.
