"Not much, but I heard that Young Master Li went to deal with that troublesome Cicada Wave, but things got complicated, and a senior cultivator intervened to save them. They're now residing in the City Lord's mansion."

"Got it, you bastard!" Ma Jin raged, pulling out his compass-like artifact once again and noticing it point towards the city lord's mansion. The needle was locked onto Liu Feng.

"It's him! That bastard killed Little Green! I'm going to take revenge!"

"Wait, Brother Jin, let's not act rashly. We don't know how powerful that cultivator is, and what if he's from the Flaming Mountain Sect? We have little to no knowledge about him. Should we contact the Chen family for support?"

"Don't be foolish, Xiaoli. You know how the Chen family operates. One wrong move and our future will be ruined. That old man Chen still gives me shivers whenever I go near him," Ma Jin dismissed the idea of asking for help from the Chen family.

"All of them are like snakes, hiding behind human skin. Even young master An, asked me about that Zhang kid the other day, and it seemed like he wanted to torture him personally," Ma Jin added, revealing his dissatisfaction with them.

"Then I guess we can set up an ambush," Brother Xiaoli suggested, "Whenever they leave the city, we can trail them discreetly and strike together when they are not ready."

The brothers nodded in agreement, understanding the gravity of the situation.

Addressing Brother Huang and Brother Liang, Ma Jin said, "You two are the weakest among us. It would be best if you bring back these new items to our previous hideout."

Brother Huang and Brother Liang acknowledged their task and prepared to leave immediately.

"We will meet you guys there after finishing this!", Ma Jin declared.

After making the necessary arrangements, Liu Feng and Zhang Yan left the City Lord's house, choosing a horse-drawn carriage for their journey. Zhang Yan took the reins while Liu Feng sat in the back, organizing their equipment and items.

Among the items, Liu Feng brought out a detailed map of the forest, and apparently, that is called the Yinsha Forest. He studied the map carefully, realizing that the area he had previously roamed around was just the outskirts of the forest and the depths of Yinsha Forest were known to be one of the most dangerous places to exist.

Liu Feng looked at several marked locations on the map, areas that had recently seen a surge in activity for demonic beasts. These places had been neglected for some time and now the situation has become very chaotic.

Usually in these places reside some low-level demon beasts, but recently several mid-level demonic beasts have been spotted there. The beasts have suddenly become unusually aggressive and are causing disturbances. So, the forest has grown restless with its increasing activity.

"Let's see, which one should we choose first..." Liu Feng pondered, sitting before a list of creatures.

Purple Forest Scorpion, Jade Viper Queen, Scarlet Scaled Bees, Blue Silver Fox, Crimson Earth Serpent, Crimson Lion, and Tempest Wolf, and the list went on.

'I need to strengthen my martial techniques so going for the lion and the wolf is logical. Also, there is my poison-type cultivation technique. I need to collect some poison element fragments too.'

"I'm aiming to perfect each element for a deeper understanding, so let's begin with poison," Liu Feng decided, having evaluated the options before him.

'This scorpion seems very dangerous, and it is the same for this viper so I can get good poison fragments from there. And there is no need to even consider the bees, only those who have never been stung by them would dare to go there.'

'Ah, this earth serpent seems to be the closest to us', Liu Feng concluded, settling on his choice.

"Zhang Yan, we will take the right turn from there", pointing his fingers in a certain direction, he said, "We will be hunting the Crimson Earth Serpents."

'I wonder how the progression of my body cultivation will be when using the blood of those creatures.', Liu Feng wondered.

'Let's see, I am prepared', Liu Feng grinned looking at the tools and weapons he had brought with him.

After a while, they had gone somewhat deep into the outskirts of the forest, and Liu Feng was fully immersed in his cultivation. Suddenly, he sensed some presence following them.

"Zhang Yan, find an open space and stop the carriage. It seems we have company," Liu Feng instructed him calmly.

He was taken aback by Liu Feng's statement, as he hadn't noticed anything. "What, Boss? I didn't even sense them!", he whispered.

"It's alright. Just follow my instructions," Liu Feng reassured him. "First, find a somewhat open place and stop the carriage. Then, make sure to tie the horses in a secure spot."

"We don't want to return to the city on foot."

With the carriage secured and the horse safely tethered, they waited silently on high alert and it wasn't long before the group of bandits emerged from the forest, surrounding the carriage.

"I heard you were supposed to be some bigshot, but look at you - you are just a kid!"

Seizing the opportunity, all five members, including Ma Jin, rushed toward Liu Feng and Zhang Yan.

"Die, you bastard! This is my revenge for killing Little Green!" Ma Jin screamed as he lunged forward to punch Liu Feng.

Anticipating the attack, Liu Feng swiftly drew his saber and managed to block the strike.

"Oh, you blocked that. But you're just a kid! You're going to die by my hands today!" Ma Jin taunted, manifesting a blood-red aura from his hands.

Ma Jin's fist glowed with power as he unleashed his technique, sending Liu Feng stumbling back a few steps. Despite the force of the strike, Liu Feng couldn't help but found the situation funny.

"Haha..haha..." Liu Feng couldn't help but chuckle.

"Seriously, it's so cringe! Don't shout your techniques like that! It's embarrassing," he teased Ma Jin, even in the middle of the battle.

Suddenly Zhang Yan screamed, "You thief, give it back!", appearing out of thin air, wielding claws in each hand, he launched a fierce assault on Ma Jin.

"It's my family's technique! Give it back!" Zhang Yan demanded.

"Oh, you're that Zhang kid! Long time no see," Ma Jin responded, seemingly unfazed by Zhang Yan's sudden appearance.

"It seems you've forgotten the beating you took. Let me remind you."

Ma Jin declared, launching furious punches toward him. The forceful blows struck him, sending Zhang Yan flying back some distance.

"Zhang Yan, are you alright? Don't interfere with my battle. He's too strong for you. Go fight someone else"

"Leave the stronger opponents to me. Just remember, defeat them thoroughly."

"But Boss, that's my family's technique he is using!"

"Don't worry about it. I'll keep him alive, and you can ask questions later," Liu Feng assured him, maintaining his composure in the face of the enemy.

Ma Jin sneered at Liu Feng, taunting, "You're too young to say that, brat. Today, you'll die by my hands, and then I'll capture the Zhang kid. The Chen family won't need to know anything, and things will go back to how they were."

Brother Xiaoli, the right-hand man of Ma Jin declared in confidence, "Don't worry, boss, I'll take care of the Zhang kid."

Quickly he lunged toward Zhang Yan and engaged in a fierce battle. Xiaoli wielded a sword while Zhang Yan skilfully used his twin claws, proving to be a formidable opponent.

Meanwhile, Liu Feng found himself locked in combat with Ma Jin. Hey blocked each of the bandit leader's moves with his saber.

It was clear that Ma Jin was a formidable opponent, and Liu Feng realized he could no longer treat this as a mere plaything. He knew he had to give it his all or he will face real consequences.

'Let's clean the mobs first!'

Utilizing [Beast God's Movement Art], and infusing his entire body with a vibrant green Qi, Liu Feng effortlessly dodged Ma Jin's attacks.

Putting on the claws, he swiftly closed the distance between himself and the other two, launching two sharp streams of greenish water attacks toward them.

"Look out! It's Qi projection attacks!" Ma Jin cried out, cautioning his brothers.

The duo took a defensive position, trying to take on the attack head-on.

Having trained his [Beast God's Claw Art] to an intermediate level, Liu Feng expected his attack to deal significant damage. However, to his surprise, it merely left a couple of cuts on the enemy's skin.

The duo laughed mockingly, brushing off the attack as insignificant. "Ha... Ha... You really think you're some bigshot, but it seems this is all you amount to."

Hearing their taunt Liu Feng smirked a little and launched his attacks again. This time also they blocked the attacks with their sheer strength but the attack did make several more cuts in their arm.
