Mei Lin also emerged from Liu Feng's room. She thanked him before heading to her room.
As the evening wore on, a maid informed Liu Feng that the bath was ready. Stripping off his clothes, Liu Feng submerged himself in the warm crimson bath. He began to channel his [Ancestral Origin Physique Refinement Scripture] and as he did, he could feel a surge of vitality coursing through his body.
It was as if every cell in his body had awakened, eagerly absorbing the medicinal properties of the bath. The change in the bath was visible, as the vibrant crimson hue in the bath started to fade away and black impurities started to seep away from his body.
He could sense his blood circulation improving, becoming more refined, and his overall strength increasing. The experience was very refreshing, leaving him feeling rejuvenated.
As Liu Feng was in the medicinal bath, he observed that the effects seemed to lessen with each second until the bath eventually turned into a dull grey color with a pungent smell oozing out of it. He realized that all the medicinal properties had been fully absorbed by his body.
Checking his progress, he was particularly excited.

Feeling satisfied with his progression in body cultivation, he nodded, "I guess the technique is meant to be used with blood, so the efficiency should be much better when using precious blood."
He decided to explore the technique in the future. He left the bath, cleaned himself up, and resumed his Qi cultivation.

The following morning, Liu Feng woke up feeling refreshed after a restful night. He met up with Zhang Yan and Mei Lin, and the trio enjoyed a delightful breakfast with Li He.
However, Li He informed them that he would be occupied with some important matters and wouldn't be able to accompany them throughout the day. Liu Feng understood, knowing that Li He had responsibilities in the absence of his father, the City Lord.
After breakfast, Liu Feng gathered with the butler and Li He to discuss a few arrangements he wanted to make for the day. They were more than willing to fulfill his requests.
As they concluded their discussion, Liu Feng felt that it was time to teach the body cultivation method to Zhang Yan. He asked a maid to make the necessary arrangements for a medicinal bath, the same as the previous day.
Then he shifted his focus to Mei Lin and asked about her progress. Observing her cultivation, Liu Feng made a rough guess that she was somewhere around seven to ten percent into the Qi Condensation Stage 1.
Soon, Liu Feng proceeded to teach Zhang Yan the [Ancestral Origin Physique Refinement Technique].

As Liu Feng himself was not very knowledgeable about any sort of cultivation, he used some cultivation mumbo jumbo with some great philosophy with a sprinkle of scientific reasoning to explain the technique to Zhang Yan. Surprisingly, his explanations left a great impression on Zhang Yan.
'Sigh~, I don't want to deceive you but, I don't know it very well myself.'
'Oh, how I wish I could perform that finger flick thing, where cultivators transmit techniques to their disciples effortlessly without any hassle. But I suppose we will have to do it this way for now!'
'The Qi cultivation was somewhat easy to guide because I was able to guide the Qi myself but this body cultivation is very difficult. I was probably able to do it subconsciously because of the system but, guiding someone else is very difficult.'
'Well, I guess, I can still imitate the qi flow on the flesh itself and start the process of absorption of the medicinal properties and if Zhang Yan is fortunate enough, he will be able to adapt to it quickly.'
'Sigh~, but I absolutely do not want to be hanging around a bath with another guy! It's just... awkward, you know?'
'Well, I guess I have to make an exception for my loyal underling, just this once!'
After a short while, the medicinal bath was finally prepared, and Liu Feng proceeded to teach Zhang Yan the body cultivation technique.
After spending some time, Liu Feng left the room with a heavy sigh. The intense concentration he used to teach him the cultivation technique left him quite exhausted.
Several hours passed before Zhang Yan emerged from his room, his face beaming with joy and excitement. He couldn't contain his happiness.

But the difference in efficiency was quite apparent, while it only took around thirty minutes for Liu Feng, Zhang Yan took hours to absorb all the medicinal properties from the bath.
After enjoying a satisfying lunch at the City Lord's house, Liu Feng decided to gather Zhang Yan and Mei Lin for another meeting.

With a serious expression, he addressed the duo, "We still have eleven days until the festival, but the threat from the Chen family is still very high. If the information Zhang Yan provided is correct, the Chen family now holds a considerable amount of influence, and without any proper evidence, we can't seek help from the City Lord's house. Mei Lin nodded, understanding the instructions. "I'll be careful, Liu Feng"
Despite his concerns, Liu Feng knew that Mei Lin would be safer cultivating within the secure City Lord's house. He was still hesitant to leave her unattended, but he had already spoken to the butler, ensuring that Mei Lin would receive any necessary assistance.
"I've arranged everything with the butler. If you need anything, just ask them, and they'll be there to help you."
'Sigh~, and with that there goes the last of my money, but I just know the place where I can get some more! I'll just take a look there and collect some money,' Liu Feng thought to himself with a sly grin.
'And given their involvement with the Chen family, I don't think the bandits will sit still. They will sure come back to take their revenge.'
'Sigh~, who knows, they might even be here already," Liu Feng speculated.

Unbeknownst to Liu Feng, his speculation was correct. At the same time, Ma Jin caught up with his brothers in a quiet corner of the city. All six of them were present, in front of Ma Jin.
"Xiaoli, our hideout was discovered, and Little Green is dead," Ma Jin informed the group with anger visible in his eyes.
"What Boss? Who could have killed him? Was it someone from the Flaming Mountain sect?" Ma Jin's right-hand man, Brother Xiaoli questioned, shocked by the sudden news of the death of their pet demonic beast.
"I doubt that," another member chimed in. "Those old cultivators of the Flaming Mountain sect rarely leave their mountain unless they are on a sect mission. It seems unlikely they would venture into Yinsha Forest randomly. But given the current situation..."
"Exactly," Ma Jin agreed. "Even though we've managed to stay only at the outskirts of the forest safely, it was all due to Little Green, who kept other creatures at bay."
"Unless there was a cultivator from the Flaming Mountain Sect that took action, I don't see any random person defeating my Little Green"
"but something feels off about the whole situation. Moreover, that Zhang kid also disappeared, and it doesn't seem like he was eaten by Little Green."
Ma Jin was cautious of the whole situation, but he was not entirely clueless. Suddenly he asked the gang, "Did something happen at the City Lord's place?"
