The old man's actions seemed reckless and irresponsible, and Liu Feng found himself having the urge to rush back to the shop and give that man a good smack.

Regulating his breathing, he circulated his Qi and performed his cultivation, he closed his eyes and focused on calming his troubling thoughts.

'Let's not waste any time and synthesize a medium for it,' Liu Feng declared silently.

'Now, let's see, what to name it,' Liu Feng furrowed his brow, trying to borrow his vast knowledge of the 'Holy Scriptures' in an attempt to find the perfect name for this new technique.

'I decided to name the martial arts with the [Beast God] series, but this is a cultivation technique….so…what about [Blood Monarch's Body Forging Technique] or [Blood Dragon's Body Forging Technique]?', He thought but discarded them quickly.

'No, it's too much blood…then [Divine Asura Body Forging Technique], no too much Asura', He was struggling to come up with a perfect name for it.

Suddenly, a new idea struck him, "It needs to be something primal...something old…something raw…. something like…I got it,' Liu Feng declared silently, as he continued to name the technique.

'See, perfectly balanced as it should be. Not too much blood or racial dependency, not too grand, but you can just feel the power from the name itself…'

Satisfied by his naming skill, Liu Feng felt a sense of fulfillment as he felt the name truly befits, what should eventually become a powerful technique.

Liu Feng felt excited with the anticipation as he prepared himself to initiate the [Ancestral Origin Physique Refinement Scripture] for the first time.

'It's been a while since I synthesized a brand new technique!'

Liu Feng assumed the lotus position and took a meditative pose. The red illusory scroll disintegrated into Liu Feng's mind, as he gained insight into the new cultivation technique.

This technique allows the practitioner to draw Qi primarily from the blood of living beings, medicinal baths, or any liquid medium in general that is overflowing with Qi to nourish their blood and flesh, enabling them to perform Blood Refinement, the first stage in Body Cultivation.

Delving deeper into the essence of the technique, Liu Feng realized drawing Qi and vitality from human beings or beings with enough spiritual awareness, especially those with lingering resentment, can negatively affect the practitioner's mind if practiced without caution.

However, Liu Feng's [Clear Mind] ability from practicing his Qi cultivation technique, allowed him to negate these side effects.

He tried to use his newly acquired technique but found it very difficult to draw Qi from his surroundings into his body without any medium.

Unlike the qi cultivation technique he practices, this new body cultivation technique made it difficult to absorb Qi into his body. It was as if the technique was facing some sort of resistance automatically.

'Probably because of the level of the technique and the requirement for some sort of Qi rich liquid as the medium…', Liu Feng concluded.

He looked at his status again, to confirm the newly acquired changes.

Finally, returning his attention to his item, the small bead from the old man, Liu Feng examined it extra carefully from his previous experiences.

As he attempted to inject his Qi into the bead, he was taken aback as the bead seemed to greedily absorb the energy Liu Feng provided.

'Sigh ~. One was helping in my cultivation, another one probably wanted to take control of my body and now this, eating up my Qi.', Liu Feng sighed as he contemplated how to proceed with the mysterious bead.

'But it does not seem dangerous, let me try again', curiosity got the better of him, and he decided to experiment further.

He cautiously supplied a small amount of Qi again into the bead, and as expected, the bead absorbed it with an endless hunger. To his astonishment, the bead soon began to emit a brilliant golden glow as it absorbed Liu Feng's Qi forcefully, illuminating the dimly lit room.

Sensing the rapid Qi depletion from himself, he quickly tried to stop supplying his Qi to this mysterious bead but the bead vanished into his palm. He tried to shake it out of his hand, but the bead remained unseen.

Feeling tired from his Qi depletion, he began to cultivate and look for the bead within his body. But this time he felt something strange as the rate of intake of Qi into his body seemed to have increased from before, and trying to look at the source of it he delved further into his subconscious.

Soon he found a golden glow similar to what he had just seen earlier but this time he was not able to look into it for long. He continued his cultivation for some time as he replenished his depleted Qi.

The whole process took longer than expected, and by the time he completed his cultivation, it was already evening.

"Let's call them over now. I need to share my findings with them," Liu Feng realized it was getting late.

He was about to leave his room when he heard a knock from Zhang Yan, "Boss? You there?"

"Coming!", As Liu Feng opened the door, he saw the duo and Li He, along with the Li family butler standing outside.

"Senior Liu, did you have a good time exploring the city?" Li He asked curiously.

"Yeah, it was great," Liu Feng replied with a smile.

Li He continued, "I've completed the sale of the Cicada Queen corpse, but before we talk about that, let's have dinner."

The butler chimed in, "We have prepared a sumptuous meal to welcome you, and afterward, we can discuss the other matters."

Led by the butler, they were guided to a room filled with an array of mouth-watering fragrant dishes. Everyone enjoyed a hearty meal together. Once they were satisfied, Liu Feng and the duo moved to a different room led by Li He for their discussion.

Li He handed Liu Feng a pouch containing some coins, saying, "Because the corpse was in good shape, we made good money from the sale. We got 65 gold coins from the body itself. Please accept this."

Liu Feng thought for a moment and then decided to decline, "Keep it, but instead, use the money to buy me the best quality medicinal herbs that are available in the market for Blood Refinement. I need to prepare a medicinal bath."

But as you have guessed, Liu Feng had little to no knowledge about medicinal herbs or preparing a medicinal bath, but he managed to bluff confidently.

Li He reassured him, "Sure thing, senior Liu. Don't worry about it. Just say when and our servants will prepare a medicinal bath for you."

"Thank you, Li He," Liu Feng was grateful, relieved that someone with proper knowledge was in charge of handling the task. He wanted to keep maintaining his calm and composed demeanor in front of them.

Soon, Li He instructed the butler to purchase the medicinal herbs as requested by Liu Feng. After some time, Zhang Yan and Li He left Liu Feng alone in his room.

'Now it's time to explain things to them,' Liu Feng thought to himself as the trio sat down forming a circle.
