Examining The Items

As they moved through the crowd, Liu Feng's attention was suddenly drawn to a distant shop, where an elegant figure stood amidst the crowd.
The girl's face was covered with a mask but her expensive attire and the guards following behind her indicated her noble status, making her stand out.
The day gradually wore on, the sun started to set. The trio eventually made their way back to the city lord's mansion, where they were scheduled to stay.

As the trio arrived at the City Lord's mansion, they were greeted by a line of guards standing there. The guards led them through the entrance and into the city lord's mansion, where they were received by the butler of the city lord.
They were told that Li He, was currently away but would be arriving soon to meet them.
Soon they were escorted to their assigned rooms. Liu Feng asked the duo to hand over the items they had obtained from the mysterious old man.
"I need to study the true nature of these objects so that I can help you figure out how to use them. I'll call you when I am done analyzing them"
The trio did not waste any time and went inside their room after handing over the mysterious stone and the dried flower. Liu Feng took a relaxing bath and after that, he started to analyze the items.
First, he examined the dried flower. From the outside, it looked very ordinary, but while injecting a very small strand of Qi into the object he felt a strange reaction.
The poisonous green Qi in his body started to flare up upon making contact with it. Quickly withdrawing his hands, Liu Feng placed the flower aside, pondering how to handle it.
Liu Feng observed, 'It has some reaction with the poison type Qi in my body. I guess Mei Lin might also be suited for some sort of poison element cultivation technique. Sigh~," he sighed, recognizing the potential use of the dried lotus.
Deciding to perform a final test, Liu Feng carefully took a small amount of one dried petal from the flower and placed it in his mouth.
He started to circulate qi according to his modified [Eight Trigram Dao Convergence Scripture], and almost immediately, he sensed a reaction from the Qi in his body. The dried petal seemed to assist in gathering the flow of Qi within his body, making it easier for him to cultivate.
For the next few minutes, Liu Feng experienced a remarkable improvement in gathering and refining Qi. The efficiency of his cultivation seemed to increase significantly, allowing him to gather a vast amount of Qi in no time.
However, the sensation quickly began to fade away, leaving Liu Feng to check the progression of his cultivation.

He took a gulp, torn between seizing the opportunity to further improve his cultivation and respecting the old man's words, he felt conflicted.
During this time, several questions appeared in his mind - who was that old man, and how did he know about Mei Lin and his cultivation technique?
Despite his inner conflict, Liu Feng resolved his mind to take the risk and consume more of the dried petals. He reasoned that the gains outweighed any cons there might be and that improving his cultivation should be his priority.
Gathering his resolve, he ingested a slightly larger portion of the petal than before and resumed his cultivation. Once again, the Qi within his body responded to the dried petal, making his cultivation process faster.
As Liu Feng concentrated on his cultivation, he couldn't help but wonder about this flower and its magical properties.
'I have to look for more of these in the future!', he took a resolute decision.
Soon, the similar sensation began to fade away, and Liu Feng checked his progression again.

"Wow! It increased that much again?" Liu Feng exclaimed in amazement, marveling at the rapid progress of his cultivation.
However, he realized that consuming it further would hinder Mei Lin's cultivation journey.

Next, he turned his attention to the dark crimson stone. Just by observing it closely, he felt something ominous.

"Nope!", interrupting the strange voice in the middle, he realized what he had to do.
'I have read enough of these!', Liu Feng started to circulate his cultivation technique immediately to stabilize his mind and utilize the [Clear Mind] ability to regain his composure.
Taking the stone into his palms, he muttered, 'System, quickly collect Dao Fragments from it!'
A foreboding feeling came over the remnant soul inside the stone, and he cried, "Brat! You dare to ignore this sovereign! You will regre...Nooo…."
However, it was too late for the old man, as the stone began to disintegrate, the system responded [Ding!].
