Liu Feng took a mental note of this as he quickly dealt with the zombie-like creatures, but he abruptly stopped his movements. He saw the hideous creature that the Chen Family head summoned.

The red creature rampaged with its dozens of sinister tentacles swirling around. It had an otherworldly aura that induced the urge of repulsion from the core of the beings who witnessed it.

'Should I take a chance?', As Liu Feng thought about challenging the creature, a moment of contemplation emerged within him.

'But it looks very powerful', he pondered, his gaze locked onto the monster before him. He easily recognized the raw power exuding from it, a force that he could not overcome physically.

But soon, a glimmer of hope emerged, 'This creature is a summon right??, So logically eliminating the summoner, should make it go away, right? But I want the fragments from it…tch…tch…tch…', Liu Feng was conflicted.

'Let's forget the fragments for now', with a solid resolve, Liu Feng lunged forward on his way toward the Chen patriarch. But the creature noticed him and launched its tentacles at him.

Startled by this, Liu Feng swiftly established his ground and readied himself. Utilizing his [Beast God's Whip Art], he parried and redirected the incoming attacks.

He realized his technique was not making much of a difference as the tentacles were not even taking damage that much. After some struggle, Liu Feng managed to create some distance as he was left panting, "huff…huff…"

Promptly, Elder Shen arrived before him, as he intervened the creature's upcoming attack.

*Spirit Condensation Technique: Flaming Cauldron*

It seemed both Elder Yang and Elder Shen had finished their fight as Elder Shen had come to support him whereas Elder Yang was already helping others.

"Junior Liu, it seems you have encountered some difficulties here," Elder Shen spoke, his tone carrying a mix of concern and mischief. "Allow me to handle this."

With Liu Feng's attention focused on the sinister creature before them, Elder Shen stepped forward and created a huge cauldron made out of scorching yellow fire.

Observing the creature for a bit, he explained while stroking his white beard.

"This appears to be a Malevolent Blood Spirit, and It's more than just an ordinary creature."

"It is pretty much a legend even for us old folks and to my knowledge, no one has laid their eyes on it in thousands of years."

"And to think the Chen family head was able to summon this thing….Sigh~"

His words carried a sense of gravity that emphasized the rarity of the creature in front of them. Elder Shen continued further, providing information about the entity in front of him.

"In the past, during the rough times when conflicts and war-ravaged these lands, these creatures would occasionally emerge as they thrive in places filled with bloodshed and malice."

"Despite having sort of a semi physical form, these creatures are spiritual in nature. Ordinary weapons do not work against them. They are impervious to most physical attacks, and only weapons or artifacts beyond a certain level can inflict any damage to them."

"That sword you have, that seems like a low-grade artifact, that might be able to cause some damage to it, but still the best way to fight these spiritual entities is using your Spiritual Techniques."

Liu Feng tried to maintain a stoic expression, though a sense of being schooled by the elder in front of him, almost made him sigh. He couldn't help but feel as if he had made a fool out of himself before these real experts.

'Elder Yang looked like he practices Body Cultivation,' Liu Feng pondered, 'while Elder Shen is no doubt a Qi cultivator. But what is this Spiritual Technique? My system hasn't synthesized anything like it yet.'

He thought inwardly, attempting to understand these unfamiliar concepts, 'Are these some higher level techniques, like a spell, that directly manipulate Qi into different shapes and sizes.'

Although Elder Shen's words made him feel uncomfortable, his advice made him realize his current predicament and limitations.

"Thank you, Elder Shen," Liu Feng offering his gratitude, sat in a meditative position and started to circulate his Qi. His wounds and fatigue started to dissipate as he felt a new wave of energy flow through his entire body.

During Elder Shen's battle against the formidable creature, Liu Feng sprang up and rushed toward the Chen Family Patriarch. Despite sustaining a severe blow from the creature's initial attack, the patriarch appeared to be completely healed. But it was evident that he had lost his sanity.

'Is he absorbing blood from the bodies???', Liu Feng furrowed his brows as he observed the man in front of him place his hands on top of the lifeless bodies before him as glowing red energy seeped into his body.

The man's voice reverberated through the atmosphere with fury and rage. "Aaaaaaghhhh... Who was it? Who dared to interfere?" he roared, "After decades of planning, everything was going according to our plans. But now, it has shattered. Which insect dared to defy me? Which vermin help you to break the formation?"

Even Liu Feng was now second-guessing his decisions, as the man looked very powerful with a sinister crimson aura covering his entire body.

Without any single second, Liu Feng got a bit closer to him and launched a powerful claw attack at him. Three streams of greenish slashes collided with his back, making several deep cuts on him.

''Agghh…", this startled him a bit but he soon looked back. The wounds were healing at a rapid rate as he recovered from the shock.

'Crap!', Liu Feng backed up a couple of feet as knew at this moment that he had messed up.

The Chen Family Patriarch lunged toward him with alarming speed, making Liu Feng immediately raise his guard. The impact of the patriarch's attack was massive as the heavy blow that sent Liu Feng stumbling backward involuntarily.

Before Liu Feng could fully recover from the shock, his opponent started to attack again. He quickly got up and using his movement technique, he dodged and launched another powerful slash at the man.

The slash hit the Chen Patriarch and made a severe cut on his chest but it began to heal at an astonishing rate

"Aggghh….", with a thunderous roar, the patriarch pressed forward once more, relentless in his pursuit of Liu Feng.

Dodging his blows, Liu Feng evaded each attack, as his mind continued assessing the situation.

'I cannot keep running forever, Elder Yang is nowhere to be seen and Elder Shen seems to be busy with the spirit.'

'I can manage two more of those powerful slashes before I run out of Qi. But it seems the poison is taking its effect but very slowly.'

The Chen family head had become much slower than before and now Liu Feng was able to follow his attacks. Thus, he reasoned that his poison was taking effect as he had expected.

A momentary delay in response allowed the Chen Family Patriarch to quickly appear right in front of him. Reacting instinctively, Liu Feng raised his hands in a defensive posture. However, the patriarch's devastating punch shattered his claws, pushing Liu Feng backward.

"Aahhh... my hard-earned money..." Liu Feng's mood immediately shifted as he concluded, 'I have to use the sword.'

"Enough of this," Liu Feng was frustrated, recovering his footing, he distanced himself from the patriarch.

He strongly gripped his sword as he made his resolve, "Forget about defense, let's go all out."

With determination coursing through his veins, he held his sword, pumping a great amount of Qi, he launched a slash directly at the Chen Family Patriarch. Quickly he charged forward, intending to pierce his heart as well.

The greenish-purple Qi slash tore through the patriarch's crimson aura as it sliced across the arms and chest of his opponent.

Infusing his sword with another surge of Qi, Liu Feng aimed the weapon at his opponent's heart, determined to pierce through his body.

As the duo made contact, the Chen family head landed a massive hit on Liu Feng's shoulder with a force that reverberated through his being.

"Aggh…" A sharp, searing pain assaulted Liu Feng as his shoulder dislocated from the impact. Yet, he refused to give up. Clenching his teeth against the pain, he drove his sword toward his opponent.

The strike, however, missed the target as it landed just below the Chen family head's left shoulder.

A surge of determination coursed through Liu Feng's veins. Realizing the mistake, with a firm motion, he pushed the blade upward, cleaving through flesh and bones as it sliced through his opponent's shoulder joint.

As the severed arm dangled, a stream of crimson-red blood splurged from the wound. Liu Feng almost lost all his strength as his Qi reserves were almost depleted. In that critical moment, the Chen Family Head went for a final, devastating blow but a piercing sound revibrated through the air.

"Shing... Shing... Shing."

Three arrows swiftly found their mark, piercing through the throat and chest of the Chen Family head.

"Gaahhh...gaahhh..."

Seizing the opportunity, Liu executed a swift yet powerful horizontal slash that severed his opponent's head bringing the decisive battle to an end.
