"They offered him their meager sustenance and tended to his wounds with care, nursing him back from the brink of death."

Liu Feng's eyes held a distant glow as if he was recalling something from the annals of long-forgotten history.

"They asked him to stay with them, to become a part of their simple life. But the young man knew he must complete his trial. With a heavy heart, he bade them farewell as he bowed his head before them."

"At that very moment, keeping the Heavens as the witness, he made a solemn promise. He vowed to protect and watch over the farmer's descendants for as long as his lineage exists."

He shifted his gaze towards City Lord Li, a gaze that seemed to pierce through the depths of his soul, "City Lord Li, do you know the surname that woodcutter carried?"

City Lord Li gulped, subconsciously he replied, "What was his name?"

Liu Feng paused, as his voice remained unchanged, "My master referred to him as 'Old Man Zhang.'"

"Now, I believe, I don't need to explain why I stand before you today, do I City Lord Li?"

As a heavy silence descended upon the room, Liu Feng continued. "I have shared more than I was allowed to say, but rest assured, my purpose to visit you is not to seek vengeance."

As Liu Feng finished his hour-long discussion with the city lord, he stood up.

"So City Lord Li, please let me know your decision by today."

"Sure young master Liu, but I need to discuss this matter with Elder Shen before I make any final decision."

"Alright then, goodbye, City Lord Li, I'll take my leave now."

"Knock…Knock…"

As he was about to leave the city lord's room, a knock came at the door.

Then he went on to detail how the sales of the demonic corpses had gone exceptionally well. The remains of the Purple Forest Scorpions and the Jade Viper Queen had significant value, leading the Misty Medicine Pavilion to extend their rare golden token.
