"Now, let's head towards the Crimson Earth Serpents' nest," Liu Feng instructed with a heavy voice filled with determination.

They had already buried the bodies of the Green Python Bandits some time ago.

"Sure, Boss!" Zhang Yan replied eagerly. It seemed killing all those people did not bother him at all. Although Liu Feng asked him to do that, his almost nonchalant reaction bothered Liu Feng a bit.

As they made their way toward the destination, Liu Feng tried to shift his focus and look forward to the future, 'Let's go and collect some Dao Fragments.'

After some time, they arrived at the Crimson Earth Serpent territory. Stepping out of their carriage, they set out to hunt some mid-level demonic beasts, which according to his information were formidable opponents.

In the cultivation world, low-level demonic beasts were typically equivalent to the Qi Condensation stage 3 or 4. Mid-level demonic beasts ranged from Qi Condensation stage 5 to 6, and if they were peak mid-level, they could even rival the power of a Qi Condensation stage 7 cultivator, making them formidable.

'Li He did mention that they were yet to receive any response from the Flaming Mountain Sect'

'Well, I guess it's better for me, I can earn money and collect the fragments as well.'

The presence of Liu Feng and Zhang Yan caused normal creatures to flee, probably sensing their powerful aura.

They encountered some low-level Crimson Earth Serpents first, and with Zhang Yan's assistance, Liu Feng finished them effortlessly.

He did not forget to collect the Dao fragments from their bodies. Deeper into the forest, they came face to face with a Crimson Earth Serpent over ten feet in length. Its slithering eyes glinted with menacing gaze.

Unlike the snakes they encountered before, this one was different. Its red scales emanated a fiery aura, creating visible heat that affected the surrounding air. The scales were much tougher and offered strong protection against both physical and elemental attacks.

Liu Feng cautiously tested the Crimson Earth Serpent's defense with some weak water Qi-based claw attacks, but they vaporized as soon as they made contact.

The duo fought with all their might until he managed to slice through its neck with a powerful slash. As always, he extracted the Dao Fragments from the defeated creature.

With the nest cleared, Liu Feng seized the moment to put his [Ancestral Origin Physique Refinement Technique] to the test. He smeared some of the fresh blood onto his arms and began to channel his technique.

As expected, he noticed that the efficiency of using the blood was way better than the medicinal herbs he had used before. Feeling confident in its safety, he asked Zhang Yan to keep watch as he sat naked in the pool of blood, ready to cultivate.

As Liu Feng continued the process, he sensed his blood circulation improving rapidly, and an overall surge of strength enveloped his body. The experience left him feeling refreshed, erasing all traces of exhaustion he just had.

He couldn't help but marvel at the effectiveness of using the blood for the same cultivation technique.

'I don't feel any negative effects from it, so if it's negligible like this, Zhang Yan will not require those Spirit Cleansing Grass.'

'I'll ask Zhang Yan to do the same,' Liu Feng noted mentally.

After completing his cultivation, Liu Feng emerged from the pool and went to Zhang Yan, after cleaning himself.

He suggested Zhang Yan try using the blood of the low-level serpents for Body Cultivation. Zhang Yan also looked eager to give it a try and trusting Liu Feng's judgment, he did the same.

Like the day before, it took Zhang Yan almost an hour of to complete his cultivation. The effects were evident, as he appeared refreshed and revitalized with a slight grin on his face.

Together, they carried the corpses of the beasts back to their carriage. Liu Feng skilfully cut some tender meat from the creature and roasted it for their dinner, providing them with a satisfying meal after their taxing day.

As evening approached, Liu Feng decided to call it a day and stop their hunt. They took turns in keeping watch during the night and to ensure their safety, they chose to camp out for the night.

While keeping a watch out, Liu Feng looked at his newly collected Dao Fragments.

Without hesitation, Liu Feng infused all of the newly acquired fire element fragments into his whip technique, strengthening the ferocity of his attacks. As for the new beast Dao Fragments, he hesitated briefly before making a bold decision.

'That snake had tough scales, and apart from that, there was nothing special about it. Let's hope this works…. and I'll be able to acquire that type of defense'

'I mean, logically, a body cultivation technique should also increase my defenses, right?'

Recalling the great defense the serpent displayed earlier, he chose to infuse all of them into his [Ancestral Origin Physique Refinement Technique], determined to gain the enhanced defense.

To his surprise, upon checking his modified [Ancestral Origin Physique Refinement Technique], Liu Feng discovered a new ability had been added to it.

However, he realized that he wouldn't be able to use it until he advanced to Blood Refinement Stage 5 at least.

Nevertheless, this discovery filled him with excitement. With ten days left before the festival, his main focus on this hunt was to strengthen his existing techniques and increase his proficiency and he felt he was right on track.

The following day, they resumed their hunt, this time targeting Dark Blood Hounds. The pack they encountered was smaller but craftier than the previous creatures they faced. The low-level Dark Blood Hounds attacked with extreme stealth, catching the duo off guard several times during the intense battle.

But after a tough fight, the duo emerged victorious. Liu Feng collected the Dao Fragments from the defeated beasts and used the mid-level hound's blood to cultivate. Meanwhile, Zhang Yan continued cultivating using the blood of the low-level hounds.

Liu Feng wasted no time, infusing his newly acquired Dao Fragments into his [Beast God's Movement Art], hoping to enhance his stealth to the maximum.

Next, their target was a colony of Emerald Hare, which used its agility and long jumps to evade their attacks. However, the duo's coordination and relentless attacks allowed them to successfully hunt down the creatures.

Like previously, he infused all of the Beast Dao Fragments into his movement technique and continued his body cultivation.

The next day, their hunt took them deep into the dense forests. Liu Feng, with his enhanced senses made sure to detect any dangers before they became prey to the creatures. Zhang Yan carefully followed him.

They defeated some low-level Blue Silver Foxes, but soon they encountered a larger Blue Silver Fox. Its agile movements made it a challenging opponent, but Liu Feng was already used to this amount of speed.

His upgraded [Beast God's Movement Art] helped him gain an upper hand during the battle.

This fox was rather unique, when it was cornered it fired a blue ball of fire to attack them.

Although it was not powerful enough to inflict much damage, this startled Liu Feng. No other creature before had used this type of elemental attack before. Although it soon collapsed due to the duo's excellent coordination, Liu Feng was intrigued by the technique it used.

He collected the Dao Fragments as usual but suddenly noticed some differences that made some sense.
