Chapter 644: Extracurricular Orientation (Edited)

The next day, Professor McGonagall arrived early at Number 12, Grimmauld Place.

When Fish entered the room, rubbing his eyes and yawning, he immediately saw her sitting there.

"Nya!"

Fish, still feeling a bit sleepy, woke up immediately and looked at Professor McGonagall cautiously to make sure she was in a good mood.

Although Hermione had assured him that Professor McGonagall wouldn't scold him...

It wasn't the first time they tricked Fish.

"What are you standing there for? Come here." Professor McGonagall naturally understood the reason behind Fish's hesitation and scolded him with a smile before waving her hand at Fish, who was still hesitating by the door.

"Minerva~"

?●ω●?

Making sure Professor McGonagall wasn't angry, Fish immediately ran towards her and gave her a tight hug.

"You're causing quite a ruckus when I'm not watching you!" Professor McGonagall scolded him, pinching Fish's cheek playfully.

Fish, knowing she wasn't actually angry, shook his head, avoiding her fingers and making "nyanyanyanya" noises.

After enjoying their playful moment, Fish excitedly talked to Professor McGonagall about [Serenity].

"Minerva, Fish has learned how to make it rain! Next time, we'll find a place for you to experience the rain, it will be beautiful!"

(≧≦)

"Understood." Professor McGonagall happily rubbed Fish's head, then gave him a big kiss on the forehead.

She didn't mind whether she would actually get to enjoy that moonlight rain, but the fact that Fish had kept it in the back of his mind was particularly reassuring.

"By the way, where did the others go?"

Ψ(Φ~Φ)

Fish was having breakfast in the kitchen when he suddenly realized that the others hadn't shown up yet. Only Professor McGonagall, Sirius, and Kreacher were there.

It was understandable that Harry and Ron would sleep in, but Hermione and Mrs. Weasley would never oversleep.

"They all went to St. Mungo's to visit Neville's parents." Professor McGonagall replied.

"What?! Why didn't they wait for Fish?!"

∑(`Д´)

Fish became upset.

"I told them not to wait for you!" Professor McGonagall nudged Fish's head with her fingers, shaking her head. "What if you do it again?"

There was another reason Professor McGonagall didn't mention. She had received numerous letters from wizards who weren't hospitalized at St. Mungo's but suffered from various ailments, hoping that Fish could treat them too.

The director of St. Mungo's also wrote to inform Professor McGonagall that a group of people was blocking the doors of the hospital, hoping to meet Fish.

After much consideration, Professor McGonagall decided that she couldn't agree at the moment, as Fish's visit had already prompted Fudge to work on a new educational decree. It would be better to wait for now.

The director of St. Mungo's agreed as well. He knew that Fish's spells couldn't be replicated and had decided to reach out to Fish only for illnesses they couldn't solve, as relying on Fish for everything would be detrimental to the development of medical spells.

Therefore, he had already started writing an article urging people to leave Fish alone, which would be published in the Daily Prophet and magical medical journals.

Unaware of all this, Fish pouted and grumbled, "Fish isn't stupid, so how could I do it again?"

(〃`3〃)

I had completely forgotten that I intended to do it for the second time last night, after the first time I had performed [Serenity].

Professor McGonagall didn't argue with him but instead reached out to pinch Fish's ears and said softly, "Come on, finish your breakfast, and I'll tell you a story."

Fish quickly put aside his journey to St. Mungo's and continued devouring his breakfast.

Not long after, Hermione and the others returned, but Neville and his grandmother stayed at St. Mungo's with his parents, stating that they wouldn't return until dinner.

And Professor McGonagall, after finishing a story, called Harry.

"Harry, Dumbledore should have told you about your scar earlier." She glanced at the absent-minded Fish beside her and said, "He has connected your mind to You-Know-Who, and it seems to be happening more frequently."

Harry nodded nervously. He had been worried for the past two days after finding out, but with Fish causing such a commotion for two consecutive days, he hadn't had much time to think about it.

Now Professor McGonagall seemed to want to help him with this problem.

"Dumbledore mentioned before that you need to learn a spell called Occlumency." Harry pursed his lips and asked, "Will you teach me, Professor McGonagall?"

"During the Christmas holidays, yes." Professor McGonagall nodded and replied, "The truth is, I don't master Occlumency very well, so when we return to school, Severus will teach you."

"I disagree!" Sirius objected loudly before Harry could say anything. "That guy will take advantage and mess with Harry!"

"Severus is the best among us at Occlumency." Professor McGonagall frowned, looking at Sirius. "I know you hold an old grudge, but Dumbledore trusts him... and so does Fish."

"Of course nya, of course nya!" Fish chimed in. "Severus has great talent in Occlumency nya! I... well..." Fish, who almost slipped up, quickly changed his words. "When Fish asked him to use Legilimency on him, Fish couldn't read his thoughts."

(ΦДΦ)

"When did you ask him to teach you Legilimency?" Professor McGonagall grabbed Fish's cheek and questioned, "And why are you learning Legilimency?"

"For no particular reason either..."

(?ω?)

Fish averted his gaze with a guilty air, as he had almost blurted something out unintentionally earlier, so now he couldn't come up with an excuse for a while, but he casually said, "Fish was just a little curious..."

Professor McGonagall stared at Fish for a moment but decided not to pursue the matter.

She turned to Harry and said, "I know you don't like Professor Snape, but if you can see You-Know-Who through the snake's eyes, who knows when You-Know-Who might be able to see through the snake's eyes or even invade your mind... but Dumbledore thinks that is highly unlikely."

"I see, I'll try to learn." Despite saving Mr. Weasley thanks to this power, Harry didn't want to reveal the secrets of the Order of the Phoenix, let alone have Voldemort directly invade his mind.

As Dumbledore had said, the odds were against it, which meant it wasn't ruled out. It would be bad if Voldemort could access his memories at will through this connection; he had many secrets hidden in his head.

The idea that he could expose the Order of the Phoenix made Harry, as much as he hated Snape, think that he had to master Occlumency.

Of course, it would be great if I could learn it during the Christmas holidays at Professor McGonagall's house.

As Harry was getting excited, he heard Fish volunteering, "Fish will be there to help too!"
