Chapter 587: Giant tree and brooms (Edited)

Fish raised his head, only the lush branches and leaves were visible, not to mention the treetop, not even the sky could be seen, but the surroundings were unexpectedly bright.

As he lowered his head, the ground was a vast expanse of grass reaching up his spine, stretching far and wide, with no end in sight.

The omnipresent smell of grass and tree was so comforting that he rolled twice in the grass and rubbed against the tree trunks that seemed like walls to him.

Just as the little cat was about to find a place to lie down and enjoy the peace and quiet as before, he suddenly remembered that he had never seen the tree in its entirety.

For some reason, he hadn't been curious about it in his dreams, but after Professor McGonagall reminded him, his curiosity was piqued....

It's just that Minerva and Hermione seem to be telling me not to rush....

Fish cocked his head to one side for half a second and hesitated ...

"Nya!"

?(=?ω?=)?

Then, without hesitation, Fish ran up the trunk without hesitation and quickly climbed to the top of the tree.

There's no way Minerva would know anyway!

In the blink of an eye, Fish ignored Professor McGonagall's advice as long as he wouldn't get caught.

Of course, another important reason he had ignored Professor McGonagall's warning was that the tree felt so friendly to him that Fish didn't think it was going to hurt him in the first place.

With Fish's speed, it wouldn't have taken him long to get to the top of the tree.....

Even though the tree in front of him was surprisingly large, Fish was unexpectedly unable to use any spells or change into any other form.

Once he reached the top of the tree, Fish finally saw the sky in his dream world.

The sky was blue, not a cloud in sight, not even the sun, but a bright, warm light falling from the sky.

Below Fish was a vast expanse of green greenery, the branches of gigantic trees stretching far beyond the forbidden forest in terms of cover alone.

But...

The edge could be seen.

At the very edge of the foliage was a pale, misty green, and Fish couldn't tell if it was another tree, or another plant like grass.

The light green kept extending outward until it joined the blue of the sky, and as far as Fish could see, the blue and the light green were distinct and yet close.

It seemed so far away...

Fish, the little sloth, didn't want to run.

Besides, Minerva had told him not to run!

Without hesitation, Fish went into good boy mode and decided to listen to his mother.

So, with a little stomp, Fish jumped off the top of the tree, intending to get back on the ground and lie down again.

But as soon as Fish jumped, he began to regret it....

He forgot that he couldn't use spells here, neither floating nor gliding spells!

"Nya~!"

?(=`Д'=)?

Fish waved his four little legs nonchalantly as he plummeted to the ground.

"Pfft."

However, within two meters of Fish's fall, he was caught. It was the giant dream tree that caught Fish, several branches moved as Fish fell, reaching all the way under him.

At the same time, the long heart-shaped leaves on the branches formed a pair of bright green palms, which caught Fish in a cradle position.

"Nya?"

?(=⊙ω⊙=)?

Fish stared in amazement at the gigantic leaves that held him.

Next, the outstretched branches and leaves placed Fish on a thicker branch, before returning to his original form.

"Nya~"

?(=?ω?=)?

Fish thanked the tree by rubbing his furry little head against the branch beneath him.

Then, instead of jumping down, he lay down on the branch and let out a continuous purr.

...

"Nya!"

(?ω?)

Fish's eyes snapped open as he lay on the bed.

It was almost dawn and he had to get up to recite the Incantation.

Fish quickly pulled up the covers, stepped out from behind the curtain and, slipping on his shoes, ran out of the bedroom with a clatter.

After reciting the usual spell that had not escaped him in a long time, Fish did not return to his dormitory, but found a chair by the fireplace in the common room and lay down in it in cat form...where he would wait for Hermione.

It was close to eight o'clock when someone else finally appeared in the common room, but it wasn't Hermione, it was a third year girl.

"Wow, it's Fish!"

She was still sleepy when she saw Fish by the fireplace and immediately ran to him, taking him in her arms.

Fish, who was already lying down, didn't resist and let her do with him.

"What is Fish doing here today? Is he waiting for Hermione?"

The young girl asked as she excitedly petted Fish.

"Nya~"

?(=?ω?=)?

Fish replied nonchalantly, and nuzzled the girl's palm.

The girl didn't care about the answer, she was smiling and stroking Fish's hair with her fingers, completely forgetting about her purpose of waking up early....

It was so rare to be alone with Fish that she couldn't care about anything else.

But this happy moment didn't last long, as soon other people appeared in the common room, and soon Hermione too, and the other girls could only watch unhappily as Fish returned to his human form and left the dormitory, clutching Hermione's hand.

Knowing that Fish was uncharacteristically waiting for Hermione in the common room, they must have had something to talk about, so they didn't follow Fish around like they usually did, but left him and Hermione their own space.

"Fish dreamt about the nya tree yesterday!". hastily shared Fish with Hermione as soon as they left the common room. "After breakfast, we're going to the Forbidden Forest to see Fish's patronus nya!".

?(ΦωΦ)?

"Don't you want to talk to Minerva first?" Hermione asked.

"Not until we've seen the Patronus," Fish said, cocking his head to one side. "Minerva's been very busy lately, and it's Albus' fault for always leaving the work to someone else!"

(?ω?)

Fish complained in great disgust.

Hermione laughed twice, she wouldn't dare scold the Headmaster.

The two made their way to the common room, where the elves quickly brought them a hot breakfast, and after a few moments, the rest of the Gryffindor students arrived at the table.

As usual, Fish and Hermione were surrounded by girls, while the boys were gathered at the other end of the long table.

Halfway through breakfast, a flock of owls flew in from outside, dropping several letters and packages in front of the students, and Hermione picked up a copy of the latest Daily Prophet, but instead of reading it, she looked at the boys at the other end of the table.

Four owls brought a long, narrow package and dropped it in front of the Gryffindor boys, or Ron to be exact.

The package hit his plate and bowl of soup, splattering Ron with soup.

But instead of getting angry, Ron looked ecstatic.

"Come on, open it! Ron!" said George with a big grin, and Harry and the others cheered him on.

Ron's face flushed with excitement as he quickly opened the outside of the package to reveal the flying broom inside.

"Blimey! It's a Nimbus...," Ron said with trembling lips.

"Nimbus 2000, my dear Ronnie." Fred took over, saying, "We figured you wouldn't want a Nimbus 2001, so we bought the slightly smaller Nimbus 2000, the same one Harry rode."

"It's also a little cheaper." George shrugged, "But you should be happy with that, you know, Fred and I still ride the Sweeper Five."

"Of course! I mean I'm quite happy!" Ron was incoherent with joy, "That's good, thanks guys!"

"Hermione," Fish twisted his head and asked, "Wouldn't Minerva be just as happy as Ron was when she got a flying broom from Fish for her birthday nya?"

?ω?

Hermione pictured Professor McGonagall dancing, and shook her head decisively.
