Chapter 464: Why can't you bring in some more champions to play with Fish nya? (Edited).

"What did you say?" Fleur frowned and asked, "Harry? that Harry Potter?"

"Yes nya," Fish nodded, then flicked his ears again, "Fish heard Albus outside announcing Harry's name..." Fish's cat ears turned once more in the direction of the door, "Now he's coming this way nya."

Fleur and Krum looked at the cat ears on Fish's head and didn't doubt him, only both of their expressions became a little more sullen.

"Isn't there only one warrior per school? That's not fair to us."

Fleur, the more outgoing one, complained directly to Fish.

Fish cocked his head, confused, "But there's only one winner, right? And it's more fun with more opponents? Why don't we ask Albus to pick more Champions, it'll be fun!"

?()?

Fish suggested with sparkling eyes, causing Fleur, who had been about to complain, to get the words stuck in her mouth, and Krum, who had been grimacing, also showed a slightly puzzled expression.

As Fleur and Krum looked at each other, the door to the room opened and Harry walked in with a dazed expression.

"Harry, you're here nya!"

(?ΦΦ?)?

Fish, as usual, greeted him with vigor.

At the sound of Fish's voice, Harry slowly snapped out of his daze and looked at Fish in front of him, mouth agape, but not knowing what to say for a moment.

Both Krum and Fleur frowned and glared at him.

Fleur knew a lot about Fish from Madame Maxime and her sister Gabrielle, and had already seen him as a formidable foe, while Krum, though he thought Fish was too young, had heard a lot of praise about the cat over the past few days, and didn't question his qualifications as a Champion, even if he didn't take them seriously.

But Harry Potter...

Even if the other man wasn't the extra Champion, neither of them would approve.

Despite the reputation of the "Boy Who Lived," not many wizards outside of England would take him too seriously.

And...

Harry was half a head shorter than Fish and, from the looks of it, even younger than Fish.

A few moments later, Ludo Bagman came in shaking his head and muttering, "That's so weird! That's amazing!" as he introduced the fourth Champion, Harry, to everyone.

But before that, Fish had already spoken to Fleur and Krum, so everyone's reaction was very cold....

Instead, it is Ludo Bargman who was still surprised.

No, are they that quiet?

Just when he thought no one had heard him and was about to repeat himself, the door to the room swung wide open again and a large group of people came in.

"Minerva!"

?●●?

Fish immediately jumped into the arms of Professor McGonagall, who stroked the cat's head and then looked at Harry with a serious expression.

"Albus," Fish turned to Dumbledore again, "Fleur says it's not fair that we have two Champions, why don't we have more people compete? It'll be great nya."

?()?

Evidently, the cat hadn't forgotten the "good idea" that had just occurred to him and had suggested it to Dumbledore.

He didn't care if it was fair or not, Fish thought the more people, the more fun it would be.

"I'm afraid that won't be possible," Dumbledore shook his head, "The Goblet of Fire has been extinguished and won't be lit again until the next Triwizard Tournament begins."

"What nya?!"

∑(?`Д′?)

Fish startled, "So the goblet you promised to give me, Albus, this Christmas, will it be extinguished as well?"

Dumbledore: "..."

This sudden change of subject was something he hadn't really expected, but Dumbledore still replied dumbfounded, "Don't worry, the goblet I will give you will have a switch and you will control whether it is on or not."

Fish then calmed down and nodded in satisfaction.

"The fire chalice went out, let the others vote," Fish suggested as he sorted out the gift problem and retrieved the conversation, "Fish saw it on TV, it's called election nya."

"That's no way to play for a place in the Triwizard Tournament!" Mr. Crouch suddenly growled, "Only those chosen through the Goblet of Fire can be Champions, and they must become Champions!"

He narrowed his eyes, his eyes were straight and he looked a little creepy.

"Isn't it unfair that Hogwarts has two Champions?!" Karkarov shouted in disgust.

Madame Máxime nodded in agreement, "We need a reasonable explanation for this, Dumbledore."

As much as Madame Maxime respected Dumbledore, her tone turned nasty as the honor of her school was at stake.

"Harry," Dumbledore gestured to a helpless Harry, then pulled out a scorched parchment and handed it to him, "Is this the note you threw into the Goblet of Fire the other night?"

Harry took the parchment and looked at it, shaking his head quickly. "This isn't my handwriting, and I wrote 'Harry Potter-Hogwarts,' not just a name."

Fish lifted his head to take a look and confirmed the same, "Harry's handwriting isn't that nice nya."

Harry: "..."

"Heh... who knows if you're telling the truth." scoffed Karkarov.

Everyone except Krum looked at him with a frown.

"Fish doesn't lie!"

?(?ΦДΦ?)?

Fish retorted angrily.

Probably under the stress of being watched by a group of people, Karkarov explained with a stiff face, "On the other hand, he could have changed his handwriting."

"Why would he do that?" interjected Professor Moody, growling under his breath, "It was several people signing up together, so there's no point in doing such a thing! Besides, being elected Champion wouldn't have done Harry any good!".

"No benefit?" Karkarov looked incredulous, "He gets to enter the tournament, win glory for Hogwarts and get a thousand galleons for himself, and isn't that good?"

"A thousand galleons is Fish's prize! Harry is too weak to win against Fish."

? (? `′?) ?

Fish didn't like that, it sounded like Harry could win.

Harry, who suddenly felt slighted, opened his mouth, but when he thought of Fish's past achievements, he could only let out a long sigh of despair.

Karkarov was about to rebut, but hesitated for a moment as he thought about what had just happened, and then he heard Moody shout, "That's right! Anyone with a good eye can see that Harry's chances of winning are minimal - someone's trying to get him killed in the game!".

The scene suddenly went silent.

Fish scratched his head and looked at Harry, "You shouldn't be so weak, should you?"

()?

Harry: "..."

Then Karkarov sneered again, "In that case, have him withdraw from the tournament."

"All Champions chosen by the Goblet of Fire must compete in the Triwizard Tournament, it's tied to a magical contract." said Barty Crouch bluntly at that point.

"Then let's pick a second Champion as well!"

"You know that's not possible, the Goblet of Fire has been extinguished."

There was some more discussion before Karkarov and Madame Maxime reluctantly accepted the fact that there would be one more Champion at Hogwarts, though neither had a happy expression on their faces.

Equally unhappy were Fleur and Krum, who didn't feel threatened by Harry, but the unfairness of the deal didn't make them feel any better about him in the first place.

Fish wasn't too happy either...as it was much less fun not being able to add more contestants.

So after Barty Crouch announced in a stiff, forceful tone that the first event was related to courage, the group disbanded in discontent.
