Chapter 403: Granger House (Edited)

It took Hermione several attempts to explain it to her parents so that they would stop looking at her strangely.

"Why didn't you take advantage of such a good opportunity?!"

After the misunderstanding was resolved, Mrs. Granger went back to complaining to Hermione.

Hermione simply didn't bother to pay attention to her incomprehensible mother.

After a brief breakfast, Mrs. Granger brought out the Muggle clothes she had prepared and handed them to Professor McGonagall and Fish.

Fish preferred the simplicity of Muggle clothes to the baggy, uncomfortable wizarding robes and, after changing, ran around the room excitedly.

"Minerva, Muggle clothes are much easier to wear than nya wizard robes."

?(?ΦωΦ?)?

After a while, Professor McGonagall changed into a new pair and came out, and Fish immediately yelled at her.

Professor McGonagall shrugged, she had never been too fussy about her clothes and saw no problem with wearing a wizard's robe, and as old-fashioned as she was, she couldn't even look at a fashionable wizard's robe with fancy clothes, let alone a Muggle one.

But, on the one hand, Muggle clothing looks comfortable.

Mrs. Granger, who had already asked her daughter about Professor McGonagall's character, specially chose a simple long dress for her, which was very much in line with Professor McGonagall's wishes.

Seeing that both Fish and Professor McGonagall were pleased with the outfit she chose, Mrs. Granger was also very happy, but soon saw the cat tail sticking out from behind Fish.

"How did you do that?!"

She gazed in amazement at the base of Fish's tail, and even went so far as to touch it, only to discover, to her dismay, that it seemed to have come out of his pants, with no damage visible.

Hermione explained from the side, "If Animagus couldn't take their clothes with them when they transformed, wouldn't they have to be naked every time they transformed? It's impossible to think about."

"The magic is amazing!"

Mrs. Granger thought about it, but couldn't help exclaiming.

And Professor McGonagall walked over to Fish, tapped the kitten on the head, and reminded him, "Remove the ears and tail, have you forgotten how much trouble you caused the Weasleys and the others in the village of Ottery St. Catchpole?"

"Oh..."

(? `3′?)

Fish pouted and reluctantly retracted his ears and tail.

"Comey, I'm counting on you at home."

Professor McGonagall said to Comey before leaving.

Comey stood up and replied curtly, "Leave it to me!".

"Minerva, isn't Comey coming with us?"

(??ω??)

Fish didn't want to leave Comey behind, not only because he was his best friend, but also because the cat wanted to eat Comey's food.

"House elves are not suitable for an area where Muggles live." explained Professor McGonagall.

Although Fish felt a little regretful, he did not insist.

"By the way," something suddenly occurred to Professor McGonagall, "Did you bring your homework?"

"Nya!"

∑(?`Д′?)

Professor McGonagall saw the little cat's expression, how could she not guess.

Without her prompting, the cat went back to his room, pulled the summer homework out from under the bed and put it in the magic bag.

When everything was ready, Professor McGonagall led the group to the fireplace. As she pulled out her wand and lit the fireplace, she explained to the Grangers, "Comey can't take too many people with his Apparition at once, and it's always a bit risky to teleport long distances, so this time we'll use the Floo Net."

After grabbing a handful of Floo Dust from a nearby jar and tossing it into the fireplace, causing the burning flames to turn green, Professor McGonagall continued, "I've asked my friends in the Department of Magical Transportation to temporarily connect your fireplace to the Floo Net.... Don't worry, it's just for one morning.... Do they know how to use the Floo powder?"

"Of course, Hermione told us about it!"

The Granger's looked frightened and expectant,

They were intrigued by the idea of using flames to move, but their fear of them made them feel a little insecure.

"Well then," nodded Professor McGonagall, who could see the tangle in their minds, and said to Hermione and Fish, "You two first, House Granger."

Hermione stepped into the green flames first, eliciting a brief gasp from the Granger's, and then they heard their daughter shout "Granger House" before suddenly disappearing into the flames.

"Magic really is amazing!" exclaimed Mrs. Granger once again.

The cat didn't like using Floo Powder, as the smell of smoke and fire was very unpleasant to him, so he quickly shouted his fate as he stepped into the fire, and quickly covered his mouth and nose with his hands.

...

"Welcome to my home."

As Fish came out of the fireplace sneezing, he heard Hermione say not far away.

The cat smiled and came to Hermione's side and looked around the house curiously.

(°ω°≡°°ω°)

The interior of Hermione's house was very similar to that of Harry's aunt's house, and the various furnishings in the house were perhaps not as fine as those used by wizards, but they had another kind of simple beauty.

"Cough, cough! Cough, cough!"

At that moment, the Grangers also came out of the fireplace.

"The wizard's way of moving is fast, but it's just a bad experience..."

Mr. Granger coughed loudly to make his throat feel better, neither the House Elf Apparition Charm nor the Floo Powder was a comfortable way to move.

"That's why we invented other forms of transportation like brooms and magic carpets."

Professor McGonagall, the last to emerge from the fireplace, smiled, "Truth be told, I'm not a big fan of using the Floo Net to get around either."

Mr. Granger laughed dryly, looking slightly embarrassed.

Mrs. Granger's eyes lit up, "A flying broom and a magic carpet!". These two objects were clearly more in keeping with Muggle fantasies, after all, they had grown up reading fairy tales in which flying brooms and magic carpets appeared quite frequently.

"I'll have to try them sometime." Mrs. Granger looked expectantly at Professor McGonagall, and Mr. Granger was no exception.

"A flying broom might be difficult, it's almost impossible for a Muggle without magic to drive them," Professor McGonagall said after a moment's thought, "As for the magic carpet, I'll have it ready for you the next time you're invited."

Professor McGonagall had already talked to the Grangers about going to the United States of America to see the Scamanders, but the Grangers had no plans to travel this summer, as the dental clinic was full and the couple could not get away.

However, they agreed to let Hermione go with Professor McGonagall to the United States of America and watch the Quidditch World Cup, which they were comfortable with....

And that made Hermione even happier.

"Mum, I'll show Fish his room first."

Hermione and Fish weren't interested in what the adults were discussing, so Hermione found an excuse to take off and find a place to be alone with the "passing" cat.

"Go, go," Mrs. Granger waved her hand nonchalantly, and then, with a twinkle in her eye, joked, "If we'd known, we wouldn't have had to prepare a room for Fish, we'd have let him sleep with you, like last night."

"Mum!"

Hermione blushed and glared at her mother.

To her surprise, Professor McGonagall interjected, "I'm fine with it if Fish agrees."

"Professor McGonagall, you're making fun of me too, I'm done you lot!"

Hermione stomped in embarrassment and anger, then dragged Fish away to escape.
