Chapter 395: Final Examination (Edited)

Although the fact that Lupin was a werewolf quickly spread throughout the school, for the rest of the day, Defense Against the Dark Arts class was still taught by him, after all, there wasn't much time left before the vacations, and Dumbledore had nowhere to find a temporary substitute.

At first, some of the students were a bit resistant to Lupin's Defense Against the Dark Arts class, but Lupin had not shown any danger before, so after a few lessons with the others, they all gradually relaxed, but their attitude towards Lupin was still cold and reserved.

This also allowed Fish to better understand what Professor McGonagall was saying about prejudice.

On the other hand, Sirius had recovered from Madam Pomfrey's treatment, but was still mentally exhausted.

After he woke up, he met especially with Harry, the two talked for a long time, and then he left the school by arrangement with Dumbledore, and it was not known where he was hiding.

After talking to Sirius, Harry told Ron and Hermione the truth, bringing with him George and Fred, who had overheard the conversation of Fudge and the others.

"Scabbers is an Animagus!"

Ron's mouth dropped open, stunned, with complicated feelings.

The fact that the pet he'd had for years was actually the killer of his best friend's parents was too much for a teenager.

When Scabbers went missing, Ron had been devastated for a long time....

But it had been almost a year since Peter Pettigrew's escape, so Ron quickly adjusted his thoughts, accepted the fact, and patted his scared chest.

"I didn't think we'd have You-Know-Who's men hiding in our house all this time, it was so dangerous! Luckily he's gone..."

While the twins' worries were elsewhere....

"You mean the Marauder's Map was made together by your father, Professor Lupin and the others?!".

George and Fred's eyes lit up at that.

"And my godfather."

Harry added proudly, ignoring the traitorous Wormtail, naturally he was ignored by everyone.

"You must introduce us to Sirius!" The twins grabbed Harry's arm excitedly, "We've idolized them since the moment we got the Marauder's Map!".

Naturally, Harry would not refuse such a request, "No problem, but first we have to wait for Professor Dumbledore to install it."

Harry and the Weasleys chatted animatedly, but Fish and Hermione were less interested in such matters.

Hermione marveled for a moment at the truth, but soon returned to her studies, after all she had twelve final exams to prepare for and there wasn't much time to waste.

As for Fish, he was here less than three minutes before he ran off in boredom. It was the third time Fish had heard this story, so it didn't interest him at all....

It also brought back sad memories of his missing bounty and the food he had been swindled out of.

The story of Sirius Black running away again and Professor Lupin being a werewolf had been a hot topic of discussion at school for a while, but as final exams approached, everyone was turning their attention back to their schoolwork.

Even George and Fred were hard at work, as they would be taking the T.I.M.O. (Ordinary Magical Level Examination) this year. Percy, on the other hand, was preparing for the O.W.L. (the quintessential wizarding exam), and if he wanted to get a job at the Ministry of Magic. He had to do well enough to get into the Ministry.

Percy was a little nervous about this, and anyone who disturbed the tranquility of the common room at night would be severely punished.

Except Fish, of course.

In such a tense atmosphere, the Hogwarts students once again gave way to the final exam.

The first day was devoted to Transfiguration and Charms, and Transfiguration required everyone to turn a teapot into a turtle, which was all too easy for Fish, who had already mastered Transfiguration in first year, as he not only turned the teapot into a turtle, but also turned it upside down.

"Nyajajajajajaja!"

(?≧?≦?)

Fish couldn't help but laugh as he watched the upturned turtle wiggle on the table, stretching its head and trying to turn itself over....

Then a stern-faced Professor McGonagall shooed him out of the examination room.

In the afternoon Charms class, the Happy Spell was tried, and Fish still cast the spell easily, which made his classmate Neville, whose legs were shaking with nervousness, happy.

With the help of the Happy Spell, Neville was able to perform smoothly afterwards, but Fish's usual cheerful demeanor meant that the Happy Spell had no significant effect on him, and only after Professor Flitwick double-checked did he give Neville a decent grade.

There was a problem with Harry, however, as shortly after leaving the examination room, Fish heard his mate Ron laughing, and saw Ron laughing as he was taken to a quiet room, where he returned to the examination room after at least an hour looking tired.

The next morning's test was Hagrid's Care of Magical Creatures class, which consisted of removing a twig from a tree guarded by a group of Bowtruckles.

According to the normal operation, it should be to find ground turtles and feed them to the Bowtruckles guarding the trees, to allow the wizard to collect some wood from the trees as compensation.

But Fish didn't need to go to all that trouble, he just went over to the tree and talked to the Bowtruckles, and the little guys immediately snapped off several branches that needed pruning and handed them to the cat.

Fish tried to help the others, but Hagrid shooed him away with a black face.

In the afternoon Potions class, Snape stood by Harry's side, going nowhere, positioning him, as if trying to take out his resentment at his failure to kill Black and Lupin on Harry.

Despite sympathy for Harry's situation, Neville and the others took the opportunity to frantically ask Hermione for help, which caused....

Everyone was satisfied except the unfortunate Harry.

Astronomy in the middle of the night wasn't too difficult for the cat either. Fish had complained about trying to remember the stars, but since Professor McGonagall had told him about the constellations, he had practically memorized the star charts, so not only did he do well on the exam, he was one of the fastest.

The third morning he had History of Magic, which was one of Fish's least favorite classes, so it was one of the worst classes Fish had ever had.

When Professor McGonagall noticed, she turned History of Magic into stories for the term, so Fish was surprised to find that he could do all the exam questions!

The afternoon Herbology exam was even harder for Fish, as the sun was too strong for the rest of the class, but it was perfect for Fish, who didn't even leave the greenhouse after the exam, but transformed straight into his cat form and found an empty pot to sleep in.

Thursday was the last day of exams, and the morning's Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson was a game prepared by Lupin, in which the candidates had to wade through a deep pond with grindylows, cross a series of pits filled with Red Hat, walk through a swamp, ignore the cluelessness of a Hinkypunk, and then crawl into an old box and fight a boggart.

Fish followed the route, passed the test, and emerged with a swarm of red hats, a Hinkypunk, and a constantly changing boggart....

Grindylow couldn't stay out of the water for long, so he didn't follow.

Professor Lupin laughed bitterly and persuaded the cat to leave, then returned the creatures to the levels he had set.

The afternoon Divination lesson was even easier, Fish just had tea with Professor Trelawney and passed the exam with a perfect grade.

"Fish, what did Professor Trelawney ask you?"

Since Fish was the first one up the tower, as soon as he came down he was surrounded by other students.

"Nothing, Sybil just offered Fish a pot of sweet tea, and after she finished, she looked at the leaves and said she predicted a perfect grade for Fish's class, and then let Fish come down..."

The kitten scratched his head in confusion and answered truthfully.

The crowd waiting in line: "..."

"Hermione Granger."

The familiar, dreamy voice came from above, bringing the group back to their senses.

"I'm going up first."

Hermione rolled her eyes and climbed the silver ladder.

It didn't take her long to climb down the tower.

"It looks like I might fail this class, but this is a new experience."

Hermione shrugged with an air of indifference, but even Neville could hear the gnashing of teeth in her mock relief, so everyone wisely looked away, not daring to mess with Miss Know-it-all who could explode at any moment.

Only Fish stepped forward, hugged Hermione and rubbed his cheek against hers.

"Feeling better now, nya?"
