Chapter 313: The kitten didn't get house points (Edited)

"Minerva, are you going to dinner?"

?ω?

Just as Professor McGonagall had thought, it didn't take long for the kitten to regain his spirits and, after hearing the story, he planned to go to the kitchen to get something to eat, and invited Professor McGonagall in the meantime.

"No, I have work to do."

Professor McGonagall shook her head, the school year had just started and she had a lot to do as Vice Principal and Dean and Transfiguration teacher, and she hadn't planned on telling Fish a story tonight if it weren't for the werewolf problem.

"Very well then, Fish will go alone nya."

At Professor McGonagall's refusal, the cat didn't care, put the basilisk and phoenix back on his body and left the place, heading for the kitchen.

On the way he met Filch, who was on patrol, but unfortunately he didn't accept his invitation either....

The main reason for the refusal was the Uroboros he was carrying, and although Fish had apologized to him to Mrs. Norris, both Mrs. Norris and Filch were still wary of Uroboros.

There was nothing Fish could do about it, just as Harry, Ron, Malfoy and Snape are hostile to each other, this was not a problem that could be solved by cat mediation alone.

Fish looked at the basilisk hanging from his neck, thinking that his little friend was too lazy to go out and attack if he didn't have to....

When you think about it, it was that bad guy Voldemort's fault!

With his distaste for Voldemort, Fish pushed open the kitchen door.

"Master Fish, you're here!"

Comey was the first to introduce himself to Fish, and led him to a long table full of food that Fish loved, and a plate of raw meat cut into small pieces, for Uroboros.

When Fish had first brought Uroboros home, Comey had trembled at the mere suggestion of being near him, but after spending the summer with him, he now had no problem catching the basilisk with his hands, let alone feeding it.

Comey held out his hand, let Uroboros swim in it, and placed it in front of the plate of raw meat.

"This is for you." He said in a sharp voice.

Uroboros raised his head and spat his tongue at Comey in thanks.

Then Comey looked back down at the little Fawkes who had climbed down from Fish's head.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know you were coming, please wait a moment."

With that, the elf disappeared.

A short time later, Comey reappeared in front of Fish, holding a handful of fresh herbs just pulled from the greenhouse.

"Caw..."

Fawkes gave Comey's finger a peck and, along with Uroboros, settled at the table to begin eating.

One can only say that the McGonagall family elves are no worse than Hagrid and retired Professor Kettleburn in terms of magical animal care.

Fish sat down to join his two companions for a snack, and suddenly frowned....

?ω?

"Sniff... Sniff..."

The kitten twitched its nose and sniffed around, its nose and mouth unconsciously taking on the shape of a cat.

Although the scent of food in the kitchen masked the smell of everything else, Fish's enhanced sense of smell was able to distinguish the smell of other things.... Of course, this required him to use all his olfactory powers.

So the kitten opened his mouth slightly, moved his head to catch and identify scents in the air....

"I found you nya!"

?(●?Д?●)?

Fish suddenly got up from his seat and rushed over to the house elf working in the corner of the kitchen.

He grabbed one of the house elves and pinned him to the floor.

"Tell me, what are you doing in the kitchen?! Are you trying to kill Harry again?"

The house elf that Fish had pinned to the floor was the same Dobby who had tried to hurt Harry so badly last term, and then Fish scratched his paw.

"Dobby didn't try to kill Harry Potter! Dobby did it for his own good!"

Dobby shrieked in his own defense as the kitten captured him.

At that moment, the other elves, including Comey, came shouting.

"Master Fish! You've got it all wrong - Dobby is not a bad elf!" Okay.

"No! Dobby is a bad elf! He's getting paid."

"And he gets a day off every month!"

"A disgrace to the elves!"

"What a shame! That's terrible."

"Apart from that, Dobby hasn't done anything else wrong!"

"But he's still a very, very bad elf!"

The house elves around them were talking, basically saying bad things about Dobby, but the Dobby they were talking about didn't seem like a bad guy....

Anyway, Fish didn't understand what was wrong with getting paid and resting, he was trying to make money too and he never got enough vacation.

"Nya?"

(°ω°≡°°ω°)

Fish looked to his left and right, and then to Dobby, who was still arguing that he hadn't hurt Harry, and was confused.

Fortunately, Comey interrupted the other elves in time.

"Master Fish, Dobby was brought to Hogwarts by Professor Dumbledore, you can trust him."

"Well... all right..."

Fish then released the house elf he had pinned down, but, still glaring cautiously at the elf, asked, "What are you doing here nya?"

"Dumbledore saved Dobby! And he gave Dobby a job!"

Dobby replied in a squeaky voice as he got up from the ground.

The elves next to him made a disgusted face and booed as they turned away from him.

A look of shame and embarrassment crossed Dobby's face, but he held his head high and said, "Dobby doesn't want to be anyone's house elf anymore, only the great Dumbledore will pay me!"

Then, the other house elves made even more disgusted faces, and even Comey joined everyone else, covering his ears and running away, as if he had heard something terrible.

(?ω?)

Fish didn't understand what was going on with them, but he didn't care too much, because in the cat's mind, these house elves were already a bit weird.

"Get to the point nya!"

The kitten impatiently patted Dobby, who was still rambling, and then spoke candidly about his experiences.

Dumbledore had traced Lucius and Mr. Weasley's fight to find out the provenance of the diary, and then, during the summer vacations, had used a little trick to get Dobby out of the Malfoys' house and find him to ask more about Voldemort's Horcruxes.

Unfortunately, Dobby knew nothing about them either, he had only overheard Lucius talking to his wife during a cleaning session about trying to bring something from Voldemort's student days into Hogwarts that could cause chaos at Hogwarts and drive Dumbledore out of the school.

Dobby then rushes to stop Harry Potter from returning to school, which leads to a series of bad experiences for Harry in the final term.

In the course of the story, Dobby did not say who his former teacher is, he is more rebellious than the other elves, but his perception of many things is similar to that of the other elves, and he is not able to speak ill of his former teacher behind his back yet....

Of course, if Fish had asked, Dobby would have told the truth... and then punished himself.

But Fish wasn't interested in who Dobby's former master was, to be exact, he wasn't interested in everything Dobby had just said.

He thought he could catch another villain and get Dumbledore to give him extra points so he could be a little less obedient, but the elf had already been persuaded by Dumbledore to surrender....

As for Voldemort, it's not like the kitten hasn't beaten him up before, he doesn't give a damn about the so-called Dark Lord, and if he dares to mess up in his place, he'll just give him another beating.

After listening to Dobby's explanation, Fish grew bored.

"This is boring..."

(?ω?)

With a bored look on his face, the cat wiggled his ears and sat back down at the table.

Since there were no more House points to be won, and Dobby would no longer be trying to save Harry, Fish didn't care what Dobby did at Hogwarts.

The snack was more important to the cat.
