Ship classes and descriptions

Ship classes:

Ship type: Length: Height: Width: Crew: Description of role after crew.

All ship measurements in meters. Crew numbers are so low because all ships could be run by drones or a single ai to run a fleet.

Measurements for ships can be subject to change depending on the role they perform or depending on who makes the ships.

Fighter: L:15m H:5m W:10m Crew: 1

Used against other fighters and ships in atmospheric and space combat.

Construction ship: L:300m H:250 W:300m Crew: 50-100

Has all the equipment and specialist equipment to construct orbital stations, defenses and system outposts.

Freighter: L:300m H:250 W:300m Crew:20

Used to transport cargo, water, oxygen and minerals between stations, fleets and worlds.

Science ship: L:200m H:100m W:150m Crew: 50-75

Used for scouting systems and scanning planets as well as anomalies found in space.

Colony ship: L:2500m H:700m W:800m Crew: 100

All colonists will be stored in cryo pods (10,000 pods) the rest of the ship is used for storage of prefabricated building and raw materials used in construction and repairs.

Corvette: L:100m H:50m W:15m Crew:5-10

Used for patrolling a system, policing and pirate killing.

Frigates: L:250m H:50m W:100m Crew: 50

The main bulk of point defense. Dealing and protecting the fleet from fighters and missiles. Can be used to hunt down bigger ships that have lost power or engines.

Destroyers: L:350m H:200m W:250m Crew:100

Heavy hitting, medium armour, medium shielding for fast attacking swamping enemies with as much damage as fast as possible before moving onto the next target. Using stealth and stealth wolf packs to hunt vessels in allied and hostile territory as well as large space battles.

Cruisers: L:500m H:300m W:400m Crew: 250

A ship that can acts as a the main offense of the fleet. Can be dedicated to missiles or mixed offensive.

Carriers: L:15,000m H:12,500m W:10,000m Crew: 2500+

Dedicated to fighters and collecting the escape pods of a ship. Point defense around the hanger entrances but no offensive weapons for ship to ship combat.

Battleships: 10,000m H:4,000m W:7,000m Crew: 5,000-10,000

A slow heavy armoured, heavy hitting ship for getting in the way of the enemy fleet. Can act as a secondary command ship if primary command ship is destroyed.

Titans¹: L:25,000 H:15,000 W:20,000 Crew:40,000

A fleet command ship built around a tachyon super weapon, main purpose is to command ships and project power. But can bring devastating firepower to the fight if forced.

Juggernaut: L:50,000 H:40,000m W:70,000m Crew:100,000+

A mobile space station dedicated to repairing and refurbishing ships. Acts as fleet comand in a system if it encounters hostile forces. Inside the ship has a dedicated city (with all the amenities) to act as a place for shore leave while on duty.

Drednought: L:10,000m H:5,000m W:7,500m Crew:6,000

Built around a super weapon that can kill planets or send stars supernova using gravity. Heavily sheilded and armoured, multiple reactors to supply the weapon and sheilds, has point defense to deal with fighters and missiles.

Most ship sizes are to show OMAC's ship sizes but mass effects ships match for the smaller ones. Bar the drednought and carriers there about 1km long or 1,000m.

All ships omac has can be used without a crew since virtual intelligences can arm and repair ship the crew is there to keep the ship in top condition. Ships sizes may change slightly to fit there role.

Ship classes came from stellaris.
