First Battle

Gwen approached me as we were both in the same age group and talked among each other. As Gwen and I shared our stories, I could see the surprise in her expression as I recounted how I had accidentally stumbled into the Oscorp incident and gained my spider powers.

"Wow, that's...quite the origin story," she said, shaking her head in amazement. "And you say you've already started mastering your abilities? Impressive."

I shrugged, a slightly sheepish smile on my face. "Well, I've had some good teachers," I replied, glancing over at Spider-Noir and the others. "And I've been putting in a lot of work, trying to get a handle on these powers."

Gwen nodded with a thoughtful look on her face. "That's great, but don't forget to take care of yourself too, okay? These abilities can be a real handful, trust me." She flashed me a knowing grin.

I couldn't help but chuckle. "Oh, believe me, I know. This phasing thing has been a real challenge. But Gwen, I want your help with giving me tips on flexibility and agility. I feel like I'm really lacking on that part."

"Well, I'm glad I could help," she said, placing a hand on my shoulder. "And don't hesitate to ask if you need any other pointers. We've all got to look out for each other, right?"

I nodded gratefully, feeling a sense of camaraderie growing between us. As we continued to discuss the particle collider and our plans to stop Kingpin, I couldn't help but glance around at the others, each of them absorbed in their own tasks.

Peni was hard at work repairing the Goober, her fingers flying across the holographic interface inside the SP//dr. Noir, ever the strategist, was deep in thought, toying with a small cube. The others seemed content to take a break, snacking and chatting amiably.

"What about Miles?" Gwen asked.

"I know that he is a newbie. But I believe he will return completely recharged and fresh."

And then, suddenly, Miles came bursting into the house, a weary look on his face. My heart sank as I realised he must have faced off against Prowler and barely escaped.

"My Uncle… my Uncle…"

Peter came up behind Miles and gently patted his back. "Take your time, kid." Seeing him, Miles calmed down a little and confided, "My uncle, the Prowler, works for Kingpin, and he tried to kill me!"

Noir leaned back on the couch, contemplating the revelation. "That's a pretty hardcore origin story, isn't it?" he remarked, earning a light slap on the shoulder from an annoyed Penny.

Peter pulled Miles back, patting his back reassuringly. "It's okay, we'll figure this out," he said, his tone soothing and understanding. "We're all here for you, Miles. You don't have to face this alone."

"Wait, Miles, were you followed?" Gwen asked.

"I don't think so."

'Ttttiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg' All of our spider senses were warning of upcoming danger. I went invisible, so I can give some element of surprise because our biggest advantage is information; they would not expect a mecha, a toon, or a mutant spider.

Suddenly, all of us inside the living room were startled in unison. A figure entered the house by breaking the door in front of Aunt May's house. It was a woman with an afro-styled hairdo, dressed in a lime green steel uniform, her eyes hidden behind a pair of goggles. And behind her, several tentacles with large claws moved about in a calculated manner.

"Dr. Octopus," Peter muttered, his brow furrowing as he recognised the formidable foe. Olivia Liv Octavius, the brilliant scientist turned supervillain, had made her presence known, and the group knew they would need to brace themselves for a confrontation.

"Nice place, really hard to find," Liv Octavius said sarcastically as she then continued after looking around, "Wow, there are so many Spider-Men. Sorry, am I interrupting something?"

"My bad,I think. I was followed," said Miles, looking up.

"It's Liv, Miles; get in the house." Peter pulled Miles behind him and assumed a fighting stance. I took that time to come behind Aunt May, as she is the biggest hindrance and the most vulnerable part of us.

From the back door, two more people entered the house. It was a man in a black suit, with silver-grey skin like steel. His name was Lonnie Thompson Lincoln, aka Tombstone.

He was one of the biggest underworld leaders in New York. He is a black man who has been ridiculed by those around him since he was a child because he suffers from albinism, making his personality cold-blooded and heartless. After being exposed to Diox-3, he gained the ability to be invulnerable to knives and guns.

"It looks like there's a lot of fun to be had here." Tombstone stood up straight and walked over to Liv, looking at Mark and the others with a cruel smile on his face.

"Look at these poor little spiders," stated a peculiar individual clad in an exoskeleton of mechanical scorpion combat attire, boasting four artificial scorpion-like appendages and a tail equipped with a needle resembling that of a scorpion. His moniker was MacDonald Gargan, formerly a private detective deployed to uncover Spider-Man's true persona.

A strange man in a purple high-tech battle suit also appeared in front of the crowd. It was Aaron Davis, Miles' own uncle, the Prowler. At this point, the four superhumans under Kingpin are all together and ready for a battle.

As every spider started fighting with their respective opponent, I pulled Aunt May and sent her into the shed by enabling my X-gene ability to make May pass through the door, as it would draw less attention. I have reached the level where I can allow others to be intangible.

"Aunt May, stay safe; leave those troubles to us."

She just nodded, and I pushed her into the shed and left her directly. I was a little tired because using my ability depleted nearly 30% of my stamina. I leaped forward to search for Prowler, but suddenly a flying green thing attacked me.

Damn, where did the Norman come from? And how did he find out despite being invisible? I suppose it was some goblin with a with a strong sense of smell or something.

"Well, even if you are not the Norman from my world, But I will still beat you till you get numb."

"Growl…." He dashed forward to attack me. I conjured a venom blast, just slightly. Instead of attacking, I put both hands above him and jumped over him. And the venom blast was enough to crash him to the ground. Then, on air, I used a spider web on him and pulled him towards me.

I then concentrated a high amount of bio-electricity on his leg, delivered a perfect kick to his jaw, and knocked him down. I really wanted to kill him, but I calmed myself because I was never a person who would act on her emotions. Anyway, I was amazed that I was easily able to takle him. One to Venom Blast, zero Norman.

I don't have a qualm about killing someone, but I am not one to decide whether one would die or not, because even I feel that no one can just decide my life like that. I just left him like that, completely tying him with a spider web.

Next, as I turned to the battlefield, I spotted Kingpin taking out the gun. I can reach there in a short time. So I instead lifted Norman and threw him towards King Pin, and his head directly hit King Pin's head.

"Headshot"

'Bang' I realised the cannon event still continued, the bullet shot Prowler, and Miles took Prowler out of the battlefield. I was a little uneasy that I could have prevented that, but I still let it happen before I realised it.

I camouflaged and stalked Miles, and as I witnessed Miles leave Prowler there and run away, and Miles's dad took over him, I was a little relieved that he was shot in his non-vital part. So, there is still time for him to recover if he loses less blood.

Just one issue: the bullet is still inside him. So, I jumped and made my hand tangible, which exposed my camouflage. Davis spotted me, took out his gun, and pointed at me.

"You stop there. And hands up."

"One minute, sir. I'm here just for help." I passed my tangible hand through his wounded part. With my modified spider mask, I was able to determine where the bullet could be, and just as my intangible hand touched the bullet, I made bullet intangible, and the bullet passed through his body, but still, the bullet was caught in my intangible hand. I pulled the bullet out and webbed over his wound to stop the blood flow.

"You are still taken under custody. Hands up."

"You have to take him to the hospital ASAP. He can still be saved."

I raised my hand and opened my hand, holding a bullet, to make the bullet fall. As he was distracted, I camouflaged and ran away.
