Chapter 6: UNKNOWN Mansion

After a few more minutes of strolling around, Irene was quite bored and decided to just go home and play video games.

As soon as she decided that, she opened her large wings and took flight and not long later she arrived at the small town near Babyls. After going down and walking for a bit, she arrived at a large clearing near the outskirts of the town.

There was nothing on sight within a kilometer radius. But weirdly enough, just as Irene walked a few meters forward she suddenly disappeared as if she wasn't even there.

"Main body-kun, I'm home~!"

On the contrary, in Irene's eyes, she just entered a large mansion with modern 21st century design. As for why the mansion can't be seen, it is because of their negator power UNKNOWN.

The whole mansion itself was imbued with a Vincent's soul fragment using Soul Caliber making the whole place UNKNOWN. Just like the pendant he left for his sister.

At first she didn't even expect that Soul Caliber was capable of splitting souls. But one of the cons of this is that Vincent can't split his soul into too many pieces. After splitting a fragment to imbue to the house, Vincent came to know that if he split his soul another time, his soul could collapse on itself.

"Had fun?"

Irene looked at the main body, Vincent, who was playing Tekken in the living room. Irene just chuckled in response to his question and sat beside him.

"Indeed, it's quite fun teasing those demons."

"How envious. Wish I can come out too."

Hearing his words, Irene smiled ruefully knowing the what he meant. Although Vincent could split his soul to fragments and imbue them to objects, like her in this demon body created by G-liner, the main body can't deactivate UNKNOWN at all.

Because fundamentally he IS Vincent. Not an avatar or just a soul fragment. His UNKNOWN is a self-targeting compulsory type negator ability and it will negate any and all things he does that will make him known. This makes him invisible, intangible at times and can't be heard. Anything he does that may lead to himself, "Vincent", being known is negated

"Don't worry, I will earn enough reputation points to buy that item from the shop soon, me."

Vincent stayed silent and focused on defeating Azazel before looking at Irene after killing him.

"How I wish I can see what you saw today, why don't you earn some points for [ Hive Mind ] skill first so I can buy it soon. You only earned about 515 RP today."

Irene's face changed as she clicked her tongue in annoyance. She then picked up the other controller and selected Versus mode.

"You do know that we only have 2615 RP left if we include what I earned today. That's not even half of how much the [ Hive Mind ] skill costs."

Vincent picked Jin while Irene picked Alisa and the two started their match.

"That's why I'm telling you to cause more ruckus there. Go attract more attention. Even if you die, you'll just go back to me anyway."

Vincent controlled Jin to make a mawashi before doing a charged punch that Irene's Alisa blocked. After that, Irene's Alisa rushed and flew forward to deliver a knee kick at Jin inflicting him some damage before doing a combo on him.

"Don't worry, I'll have more opportunity to cause more ruckus tomorrow. Its the Familiar Summoning class tomorrow. Would I summon a demon or a demon beast? Which is it?"

In a lapse of focus, Vincent's Jin blocked a punch and immediately countered with jabs on Alisa making it difficult to block. After 7 or so punches, Vincent's Jin charged up and punched her Alisa down before doing a takedown right after her Alisa stood up, depleting her Alisa's HP to 0.

"Of course it's a demon beast. Your body is exactly a demon no matter if its the wings, horns, blood or even the ability to use magic. It's perfect. You lost."

"Its just one round and we're playing best of three, I haven't lost yet. Also my soul is that of a human, we don't know for sure if I'll summon a demon beast and not a demon."

Vincent sighed and stood up from the couch.

"Just earn more RP for me. Even if you take long earning enough RP for that item, as long as we can buy the [ Hive Mind ] skill I would be satisfied with that for now."

After saying that, Vincent walked away and made his way to the kitchen.

"Hey main body! What about the game!"

"Lets eat. We can do that later."

Irene looked speechlessly at the main body escape and glanced at the TV screen. His character was only a hair breadth away from death.

"Oi! How dare you escape just as I was winning! Come back here!

Meanwhile, in Babyls Demon Academy. Principal Sullivan looked at the report of Kalego and Buer sensei about today's entrance ceremony.

"Ohoho~ There are some misfits in this year I see... and about this one."

He took out a student form from the pile. Its Irene's student form.

"Irene Enderion. 14 years old. Comes from a single parent household. Bloodline magic is... unknown. How curious. Maa~ I'll just let Kalego-kun decide!"

Indistinct chatter and murmurs can be heard in the large room. Students came here to summon their familiars which will accompany them for life, which will also affect the rank they will obtain.

As the demons chattered and discussed about the familiar summoning test, in one corner of the room stood two outstanding figures.

Asmodeus Alice, an outstanding demon from the Asmodeus Family and the top scorer of the Freshmen. Right beside him is Suzuki Iruma, known as the grandson of one of the Three Greats Sullivan and the one who beat Asmodeus Alice in a duel and made him his servant.

But unbeknownst to them, he is a human.

All of the demon's chattering stopped and they looked at the main door to see a dignified demon with a gloomy aura walk in.

"SILENCE. My name is Naberius Kalego and I will be in charge of this event."
