Marvel: The Silent Mad Dog

English is not my first language, so expect some bad grammar. I own nothing. But let me warn you, there will only be one chapter ahead. ________________________________________________________________ Rain can cause floods which can wash away the entire village. A single bolt of lightning can cause a large forest fire. A slight tremor of the earth can cause a tsunami that can reshape the whole coastline. Cruelty is just another aspect of human beings; using it to cause harm will lead to further cruelty. Human understands what cruelty means, but they also don't. They don't understand it. If they don't understand it, then they will act on it. Born in a world as a mutant, the mad dog will show its teeth and bite down at the cruel world.

~3rd POV~

"Your own Frankenstein monster? Why am I not even surprised." Ryu said, looking at Mary, who started to stitch the stomach of her Frankenssiten monster together flawlessly. "But are you sure that going to work? Frankenstein is nothing more than fiction, and there is no way you could do it."

"Trust me, I know." She said while still stitching the monster stomach.

Ryu's eyes seem to twitch a little, hearing her response, knowing honestly why she answer him like that.

"Are you sure? Because I'm no scientist or doctor, but I'm sure this is no science, not to mention the fact what I see inside that thing, there is no way a normal being will have two hearts and four lungs."

"As I said, trust me." Mary said, "But you did make a good point about this thing doesn't make any scientific sense, because let me tell you, this thing..."

She said, stepping away from her Frankenstein monster, revealing how its stomach had now been sealed shut with stitching.

"This thing doesn't make any sort of sense as you expect."

"Wait, what?"

"This is nothing more than an abomination, a body made up of various parts of dead animals and humans; there is no way this thing can live considering what it truly is, but that if you only used your scientific knowledge."

"What do you mean by that? Are you going to bring him back to life by using magic or something?" Ryu asks, which Mary only give him a smile in return. "No way... I thought you were a scientist and a doctor; believing in magic is something that I would never expect about you."

"Of course, it fair for you to assume that, but let me tell you something, after meeting Bram, my view on science and the world, in general, has changed quite dramatically, you see.

I don't know whether you know this or not, but did you know that Bram had met with a real Dracula as in Vlad The Impaler himself?"

"Yes, I know that. Bram did tell me about it."

"That good then. Now let me ask you this, Bram Stroker is the one that wrote The Dracula, and yet he said he had met a real-life Dracula himself, which would mean part of his book also inspired by this said Dracula.

Now, it gets me thinking, if Dracula exists, how did he exist? Is he a mutant just like Bram? So I decide to ask Bram about this; I ask him if he knows anything about this Dracula that he met, and do you know what I found out?"

Mary said all of this while picking up the plastic can full of blood before putting it down, next to the machine that connects to the tubes connected to the monster brain. She then starts to pour all of the blood into the machine, and when the can is empty, she turns back toward me to continue her story.

"Bram told me that Vlad became Dracula because God rejected him."

"God... rejected him?"

"Yeah, that sound quite unbelievable. A man being rejected by God, so he becomes a monster, sound like something that comes out from a fantasy novel, but this is real life, and it's happened.

Bram said that when Vlad prayed on God, he never received guidance or gift from God, no matter how hard he prayed, which I am not surprised considering that Vlad himself is not a good guy; after all, he did impale those 20,000 people.

One day, Vlad finally had enough and turned his faith from God to the devil. Apparently, unlike God, the devil answers his prayer, and as a deal, he turns Vlad into a monster, a vampire.

And as a punishment for accepting a deal with the devil, God rejected him and can no longer go into heaven, and can no longer die because he is now a blood thrusting monster.

Of course, the first time I heard about this, I never believed it; I mean, come on, this sounds ridiculous, God and Devil? There is no way this is real, but then something happened that changed my worldview as a whole."

"Ho? And that thing is...?"

"I have a pleasure of meeting with the devil himself." Mary said, activating the machine; Ryu could see the blood running along the tube toward the open brain.

"You met the devil?"

"Yes, quite an experience,e let me tell you. So anyway, after meeting the devil himself, I have become a firm believer that magic does exist."

"Wait, wait, go back to the part where you met the devil himself; what happened there? How did you even meet with the devil in the first place?"

"Why should I tell you that? There is no point in me telling you that."

"But that sound... significant."

"No, not really. Our meeting was not really impactful when I really considered it in the grand scheme of things."

Ryu can only look at Mary with an unbelievable look, but then again, he did have a meeting with the personification of death. For him, it's not really important considering what happened. Meeting the personification of death itself seem to be more waste of time for Ryu than anything.

So Ryu have no place to tell her that the meeting of the devil is significant, so Ryu would let it slide, knowing that Mary would probably never say to him about it.

"But back to the topic, as you can see, I need blood for my experiment, which is this monster, but do you know why I need blood for this monster?"

"No, not really."

"Then let me tell, in scientific terms, we know that blood is the thing that responsible for carrying oxygen around the body, but in a... magical period you could saif it, blood is an essence of life. Both are very different in their view, but there is one thing that is in common together in both terms.

And that is the fact, without blood, a human body would not work and will die.

That is why humans cannot lose too much blood because their bodies would stop working correctly and die; that is why Vlad The Impaler, The Dracula, drink blood, because of their life essence, to sustain his hunger and immortality.

What I am about to do, is to create a creature, a being, that is a perfect cross between magic and science. The ideal living being."
