[The Adamantium Affair] - Adamantium Obtained And Romulus' End

Val pulled his mask back up and placed his gun on the ground. He had no use for it anyway. He looked at Stryker who was gazing through the glass at Wolverine while the rest of the people in the control room were trying to get out of it. He shook his head thinking, 'He's so obsessed over mutants. His hatred for them is so deep in his heart that he doesn't realize that he's at death's door.' He shrugged his shoulders while thinking, 'Well... whatever!' Then, he gathered the energy around him in his hands and shot an energy blast straight at Stryker.

* BOOM *

Stryker was unaware of the energy blast and kept looking at Wolverine killing people in the surgical theater without any remorse. In fact, he had a smile on his face. Because he was successful in creating a killing machine. A mutant killing machine. He was about to turn around when...

* BANG *

He felt as if a grenade had exploded behind him and he was flung ahead like a ragdoll.

* CRASH *

* THUD *

He crashed through the glass wall and landed on the floor of the surgical theater. "Fuck! Ugh...", he groaned and tried to get back on his feet. He felt his legs stop responding. He gritted his teeth and tried to get up again when he saw a shadow over him. He turned around and saw Wolverine grunting like an animal. Blood all over his naked body. Stryker's eyes quickly glanced around the theater and realized that most of the people were dead. He glanced back at Wolverine who took a step toward him. He understood what was about to him and he felt fear for what was about to happen.

"W-What! Logan! L-Listen to me! I'm your b-b-benefactor! Logan! I-I...", Stryker stammered as he tried to crawl away from Wolverine who kept walking toward him.

Finally, he couldn't control himself when Wolverine was at arm's length near him and he shouted, "F-Fuck you! I-I'm your creator! You mutant fuck! I created you! Obey my orders! You fucking ani-"

* SCHICKK *

* SPLURT *

Val watched from the control room as Wolverine pierced Stryker's skull with his Adamantium claws. He shook his head and thought, 'It's kinda ironic that Stryker was killed by the animal that he created.' He watched Wolverine pull his claws out of Stryker's skull. He looked around and ran to a metal door which he cleaved through and escaped.

Val flew inside the surgical theater and landed on the floor. He walked toward the plexiglass tank and searched around it. Finally, he found what he was looking for. He walked toward a door nearby and opened it. Stepping inside, his eyes landed on a tank full of Adamantium which made him smile as he thought, 'Hehehe! I've got you, my lovely Adamantium!'

He used his powers to levitate the whole tank. He looked up and tore the ceiling apart and flew out of the room with the Adamantium tank. He was about to leave when his eyes landed on Dr. Cornelius. He frowned when he saw that the man was still in the facility when everybody had either escaped or been killed. Then, he realized the truth which caused him to relax and smile. He landed on the floor and quietly walked toward the data scientist.

The man had his back turned toward Val and he seemed to be busy with something when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around and saw Val waving at him. However, before he could say anything, he felt Val's hand tightly grip his throat and he heard him ask, "What're you still here for, Dr. Cornelius... or should I say Romulus?"

Val smiled widely beneath his mask when he saw Romulus' eyes widen and he said, "I thought that I would face difficulty in finding you. But, luck seems to be on my side."

He looked up and flew upward with Romulus and the Adamantium tank in tow.

* BANG *

He tore through the facility and flew toward his mansion.

* WHOOSH *

A few minutes later, he arrived at his mansion and said to Romulus, "Please, stay here. I'll be back in a jiffy!"

He used his powers to construct an energy restraint barrier around Romulus while he floated in the air and flew into his mansion. He entered his basement and opened up a special container in which he poured all of the Adamantium from the tank. After emptying the tank, he closed the container and flew back to Romulus.

"Now... ", he took off his mask and cap revealing himself as Starlance to Romulus, and said, "Do you have any last words?"

Romulus was shocked to see Starlance and he shouted, "W-What do you want with me? I didn't do anything to you. Let me go!! I'm innocent!! You're trying to kill an innocent person!!"

Val laughed and asked, "Innocent? That was a nice joke." He glared at him and said, "Unfortunately for you, I know who you are. I've my own reasons and I have a deal with someone to kill you."

"Who?", Romulus shouted angrily, "Who wants me dead? Who's so daring to try to plot against me?"

Val snickered and replied, "Your twin sister, Remus."

Val watched his eyes widen in disbelief but before he could say anything, Val cut him off and said, "Look, man. I don't care what you're going to say. The truth of the matter is...", he stared at him in the eyes and continued, "... you're going to die here."

Val tore off his fake uniform and said, "I don't need armor to kill you."

Romulus saw an afterimage of Val when he suddenly appeared in front of him. He saw Val pull back his fist and he shouted, "You fuck-", however, he was cut off by Val who said, "This is for playing with Logan's family."

* KA-BOOM *

Val's punch connected with Romulus' chest with such force that his bravado instantly crumbled to pieces and he thought, 'I'm...going...to...die...'

A huge shockwave reverberated through the air whose sound was similar to a loud thunderclap causing people miles away to look up at the sky and think to themselves, 'Thunder? In the afternoon?'

Val watched Romulus fly away like a missile toward the North Atlantic Ocean and he chased after his limp body.

* BOOM *

Inside the United States Air Force Radar Control Center,

The center was well-lit but the glow of the radar screens cast an eerie hue on the faces of the personnel present. There were rows of radar screens, communication consoles, and monitoring equipment. Airman Jones was sitting in front of a massive, multi-paneled radar display. There were other officers like him sitting in front of other huge screens. Some were tracking commercial flights, others were monitoring military aircraft, and a few were coordinating with NORAD and other agencies. Airman Jones, however, had been staring at the same screen for a few hours and he was getting bored. He fought with his body against a yawn that was trying to escape from his mouth.

Suddenly, he noticed a blip on the radar and his boredom instantly vanished as he smiled and thought, 'Finally! Something appeared!'

He instantly alerted his superior officer - Captain Miller about the blip, "Sir! We have a flying object! It's heading straight for the North Atlantic at an astonishing speed!"

Captain Miller rushed over to him and examined the data on the screen. He looked at Jones and ordered, "Identify the flying object! Do we have any flight patterns matching this speed?"

Airman Jones pressed a few buttons and examined the data. After checking the data, he informed Captain Miller, "Negative, sir. No known aircraft or missile can reach that velocity." He narrowed his eyes at the screen and said, "It seems... to be a person."

Captain Miller raised an eyebrow and he looked at the data, and said, "A person?" He frowned and continued, "A mutant, perhaps." A hint of hatred flashed in his eyes and he ordered, "Keep tracking their path and contact NORAD. We need to notify them immediately."

Suddenly, another blip appeared on the radar which made Airman Jones shout urgently, "Sir, there's another person in pursuit of the flying person. They're closing in fast!"

"Can we find out who's in pursuit of the muta- Ahem. I meant, person?", Captain Miller asked.

Airman Jones nodded and after checking the satellite image, he turned to Captain Miller, and with a shocked expression on his face, he said, "I-It's S-Starlance!"

"What?!", Captain Miller shouted. Even the other officers turned around. They weren't interested before but after hearing Starlance's name they were interested.

"K-Keep an eye on both of them. If there's a conflict, we need to record it for analysis and debriefing." Captain Miller ordered and he hastily left the control.

He walked down the stairs and rushed to the toilet. He entered it and saw no one inside. He took out a pager and typed in the message - STARLANCE FOUND! RECORDING HIS FIGHT FOR EVALUATION AS PER YOUR ORDERS, SUPREME LEADER!

In the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean,

Val saw Romulus's flying speed slow down and he used his powers to make him levitate. He arrived in front of him and pulled his fist back and said, "This is for torturing Victor."

* KA-BOOM *

Val increased the power of his punch and a shockwave more powerful than the previous reverberated in the air. The sound was similar to multiple loud thunderclaps occurring at once. The ocean around him shook violently due to the shockwave. Romulus's limp body flew like a missile toward Africa and after absorbing more energy, he chased after him again.

A few minutes later,

Val stopped Romulus's limp body above what he thought was some country in Africa he didn't care about. He brought his hands up his head, absorbed virtually every type of energy around him causing the environment around him to change, and said, to Romulus, "This is for hurting my friends."

Romulus was half-dead. He saw Val's attack coming at him but he didn't care. He didn't have any strength to retaliate. He simply closed his eyes and accepted his fate.

* KA - BOOOOOOOOOOM *

Ajak was sitting in her home when she heard a knock on the door.

* KNOCK *

* KNOCK *

'Who could it be?', she thought as she got up from the couch and approached the door. She opened it and saw that the person in front of her was Sersi.

Sersi upon seeing Ajak immediately hugged her and began bawling her eyes out. Ajak hugged her back and in a motherly tone asked, "He isn't back yet?"

"N-No...", Ajak heard Sersi say and sighed heavily. She was about to console her but suddenly...

* RUMBLE *

* RUMBLE *

* RUMBLE *

Both of them felt the ground beneath them shaking. The violent earthquake came and passed through them like a breeze of the wind. Sersi let go of Ajak and gazed at the horizon. She turned back to Ajak and asked, "What... was that?"

Tokyo, Japan,

In a traditional house, Murakami sat cross-legged on the floor. Hirohito - the Japanese Emperor was kowtowing in front of him and said, "P-Please forgive me!! M-Murakami Heika! Please!"

Murakami lazily glanced at Hirohito and said, "I remember asking you to convince the American President to reduce the tax on the Japanese imports. Yet, you failed and instead seemed to be enjoying your stay... considering the fact that you and your wife attended several orgies over there."

"H-Heika!!", Hirohito banged his head on the floor and pleaded, "Please! Forgive me! I won't make the same mistake again! Please, Heika! Please!"

Suddenly, the house began shaking and Murakami stood up abruptly as he said, "A-An earthquake?"

On the outskirts of Wakanda,

* WHAM *

A HYDRA soldier was hit at his head and he slumped on the floor.

* WHAM *

A HAND samurai was kicked in the chest and he flew back like a kite and crashed into a tree.

* BANG *

* WHAM *

The rest of the HYDRA and the HAND soldiers were kicked and either killed or knocked out.

"Huff!", a person landed back on his feet after taking care of the last person trying to infiltrate his kingdom. Suddenly, he felt the same rumbling that was felt across the world beneath his feet. After the rumbling stopped, he took off his mask and this person was none other than King T'Chaka - The Black Panther himself.

He gazed into the horizon with a worried expression on his face and murmured, "De timez ah changin'. "

In a pyramid buried deep beneath the earth in Cairo, the earthquake caused the ground to quake. Amongst the chaos, a platform within the pyramid rose to an elevated position, and the walls surrounding it trembled. A part of the wall collapsed onto the platform and it seemed to come alive. Strange, glowing symbols of a long-forgotten language began to emerge, slowly revealing themselves from the bottom and then ascending upwards, as if awakening from a slumber. A figure lay motionless on top of the platform. As the last of the runic symbols came into view at the very top, a gentle hum filled the air, and a peculiar blue fluid emerged, surrounding the person like a shimmering cocoon.

With a mesmerizing glow, the blue fluid seeped into the person's body causing their limbs to twitch, and their eyes flickered open after a few minutes and they murmured, "I... have... returned...."
