[A Sentinel Situation] - Taking Down the Sentinel Once And For All

* BOOM *

Val was hurtled back by the Sentinel.

* BANG *

* THUD *

He plowed through a car and crashed on the ground.

"Urgh!", He groaned as he got up and wiped the blood off his face.

He looked at the approaching Sentinel and thought, 'Why did it have to turn out like this? And... why did it have to be on my debut? I wanted a simple debut - villain appears, I come, I and villain fight, I win, villain loses and people hail me as a superhero. That was it. I just wanted that. But... now, he glanced at the blue glow in its palms and thought, 'It's become complicated.'

* BOOM *

Val dodged an energy beam from the Sentinel and sighed deeply as he thought, 'And... the most depressing thing that happened to me today is that I have found out my weakness. I... can't absorb cosmic energy. I... just can't. I tried to do it so many times but the energy strands just vanish into my body. And that isn't the only bad thing about it. When I tried to absorb them, the cosmic energy strands gobbled up the energy I had saved up in my body. So... this means that I can't absorb the cosmic energy strands and if I even attempt to do so, they eat up my energy reserves.'

* BOOM *

* BOOM *

Val dodged two more energy beams from the Sentinel and continued thinking, 'I thought I could absorb all strands of energy, and my powers are the best. But... it seems that even my awesome power has some limitations.'

* BOOM *

Val dodged another energy beam from the Sentinel and gathered up the energy from the surroundings in his hands and shot it toward the Sentinel as an energy beam. [Aiden's Note: Val's energy beams or energy orbs or energy blasts, etc. are all invisible. Meaning that normal people or superheroes can't see his attacks or what he's doing. But, people like Monica Rambeau or Vulcan who have spectral vision can easily see Val's attacks. And, now, all of you can figure out its pros and cons. ]

* BOOOM *

The Sentinel was struck by the energy beam and hurtled away in the air.

* BANG *

* THUD *

It crashed through a few cars and fell to the ground.

Val smiled at the sight of the Sentinel crashing on the ground and thought, 'But... I really wonder where does the cosmic energy strands go after they vanished into my body?'

In the alternate dimension,

The being was floating in the air when suddenly it sensed something.

Opening one of its ethereal eyes, it peeked at the rift in the dimension and saw several cosmic energy strands enter in the dimension.

The being smiled at the sight of the strands and exclaimed, "Oh...?!"

It snapped its fingers and the strands docilely flowed toward it.

When the strands arrived in front of it, the being touched one of them, and immediately every strand began transforming.

The strands joined together and twisted and turned until it finally transformed into a small ethereal figure of a purple woman.

The being stopped smiling at the sight of the purple woman and a melancholic expression appeared on its ethereal, non-existent face.

A deep sigh escaped its lips and it murmured, "Poor... child..."

* BOOM *

Val punched the Sentinel in its chest.

* SCREECH *

The Sentinel skid back a few meters on the road.

It brought its palms together and fired an energy beam at Val.

* BOOM *

Val dodged the energy beam and created a few energy orbs which he threw at the Sentinel.

* BANG *

* BANG *

* BANG *

The Sentinel stopped firing the energy beam and almost fell to the ground because of the explosions that occurred around its head.

After the explosions stopped, the Sentinel stared at Val and it said, "Combat Strategy A0128 - Ineffective! Awaiting Further Instructions!"

In a secret location,

Madame Hydra was overlooking a bunch of HYDRA soldiers who were busy pressing buttons in front of a large screen.

Her eyes were fixed on the figure of Val hovering in the air on the big screen in front of her when suddenly one of the HYDRA soldiers spoke up, "Supreme Leader! What are further instructions for the Sentinel?"

But, she didn't respond and continued staring at Val.

A few seconds passed as she thought, 'I know what your plan is, pest! And...', she eerily smiled, '... I will make sure to destroy them!'

She looked at the HYDRA soldier who was waiting for her and replied, "Switch to manual control!"

The soldier nodded and turned around and switched on and pressed a few buttons.

A few seconds later, he pressed a few more buttons and got up from his seat and bowed his head, and said, "Done, Supreme Leader."

Madame Hydra smiled widely and sat in the seat.

She cracked her fingers and hovered them above the controls while staring at the screen as she said, "Hehehe! I'm going to have so much fun now!"

Val narrowed his eyes at the Sentinel and heard it say, "Switching to Manual Control! ... Switch - Completed!"

He saw the Sentinel relax and saw it turn it's head toward him.

Val thought, 'Manual Control? Who's controlling it? Madame Hydra? Stryker? Or... someone else?'

The Sentinel began powering up its chest and Val thought that it would be firing a potent energy beam at him and he readied himself to defend against it.

But...

* BOOM *

Suddenly, it raised its hand and fired an energy beam into a coffee shop beside it.

* KA-BOOM *

The energy beam struck the shop, causing a huge explosion.

"Nooo!", Val shouted in shock as he instantly flew toward the explosion.

He immediately absorbed all of the thermal energy around him, causing the fire caused by the explosion to fizzle out.

He landed on the ground and knelt beside a charred figure of two people clinging to each other.

He raised his head and he saw more charred figures of people in the shop.

Val slowly stood up from the ground, his fists clenched tightly, and turned around.

He gave a death stare to the Sentinel and said, "You really shouldn't have done that."

Instead, the Sentinel raised its metal arm and taunted him to attack it.

Val gritted his teeth and burst toward it.

* BOOM *

He didn't give it any second for it to retaliate and picked it up by its chest and burst through a few nearby empty buildings.

* BOOM *

* BOOM *

* BOOM *

After plowing through the third empty building, Val threw it on the road.

* THUD *

Val hovered in the air and glanced at the cars on the road.

He used his powers to levitate some of the burning cars and threw them at the Sentinel lying on the road.

* BANG *

* BANG *

* BANG *

* WHIRR *

* BOOM *

A few energy beams shot from the Sentinel and it pulverized a few of the cars.

Val noticed it standing up and caught its leg.

Then, he smashed it on the ground repeatedly.

* BANG *

* BANG *

* BANG *

He mercilessly thrashed it around like a ragdoll.

Then, he threw it up in the sky and flew after it.

He flew above it, raised his fists above his head as he increased his strength by absorbing the surrounding energy and brought them down on the Sentinel.

* BOOM *

Val watched it fall and crash on the ground with a deafening impact.

* KA-BOOM *

Val absorbed even more energy and flew down straight at the fallen Sentinel.

He aimed at the Sentinel and increased his falling speed and struck the Sentinel on the ground.

* KA-BOOM *

There was a deafening impact when Val struck the Sentinel and the area around the robot cracked and formed a small crater of 10 meters.

* SHATTER *

* CRASH *

The windows of the surrounding buildings were shattered and shards of glass flew everywhere while the cars on the road were thrown back and crashed into poles, buildings, or other cars.

Val stood above the Sentinel and he gazed at it with a stoic expression on his face and said, "It ends here!"

He pulled his fist back and was about to throw a punch when...

* BOOM *

The Sentinel's chest glowed and a potent blue energy beam shot from it and struck Val's chest and he was thrown back.

The Sentinel stood up and flew toward where Val had crashed on the ground and aimed its palms at him and shot more energy beams.

But, Val quickly recovered and dodged the beams before they could hit him and both of them began fighting a devastating battle.

Peggy's eyes were fixed on the T.V. which was displaying the video of Val fighting the Sentinel.

At first, it seemed that Val was winning the fight but after the Sentinel destroyed the coffee shop, it seemed that a person was controlling the robot and now it was winning.

Peggy clenched her fists when she saw the Sentinel blow Val's arm off but she somewhat relaxed a little after his arm grew again.

But, one time was enough.

She didn't want to watch it happen again and again and that was exactly what the Sentinel was doing.

It was repeatedly catching Val and blasting one of his arms off.

And, if it wasn't doing that then, it was deliberately aiming at innocent bystanders and firing energy blasts at them, making Val save them repeatedly.

Peggy glanced at her shield and thought, 'Val had told me about his superhero debut but..', she glanced back at the T.V., '... it seems that the enemy came well prepared.'

She watched the fight continue until she saw Val's armor broken and the Sentinel still trying to kill him.

The straw broke when the Sentinel forced Val to save a bunch of people hiding in a shop and then, fired an energy beam at them while he was trying to save them.

'That's fucking it!', She thought and immediately stood up from her chair and picked up her shield, and thought, 'I have had enough.'

She turned and ran toward the window.

Barry turned around and his eyes widened in shock when he saw what Peggy was about to do and he shouted, "Wait! Director Carter! Wait! Director!.."

But, Peggy ignored him and burst through the window.

* CRASH *

Shards of glass flew everywhere and she used the shield to gracefully land on the ground from the 5th floor of the building.

* THUD *

She rolled on the ground at the same time when she fell and stood up and began running.

While running, she tore off her uniform, and underneath it... was her superhero costume.

She tore her uniform off completely and ran through an alleyway and came out on a road.

* HONK *

* HONK *

* HONK *

She gritted her teeth and ran through the moving cars on the road and uttered, "No-one messes with my brother! No-one!"

. . .

Val and the Sentinel grappled each other's hands and both of them were trying to make each other fall.

The Sentinel's chest glowed ominously blue and it was going to shoot an energy beam at Val when suddenly...

* BANG *

Something struck the Sentinel on its head, causing it to stagger and look back.

Val grabbed the opportunity and tightly held onto its arm and he kicked it in the chest.

* WRIPP *

* BANG *

He tore off its metal arm and the rest of the robot was thrown back by his kick.

He crushed both of the arms to smithereens and raised his head only to be surprised.

Because, in front of him, was none other than Peggy wearing her Captain Carter costume.

. . .

In the helicopter above,

"HOLY MOTHER OF GOOOOODDDD!", Sarah squealed crazily and continued as she excitedly pointed at Peggy below and said, "T-T-That's Captain Carter! C-C-Captain Fucking Carter! W-W-What the fuck is she doing here?"

She nudged Victor and said, "Quick! Focus on her!"

She gazed down below and excitedly murmured, "This is going to be so exciting!!"

. . .

Val looked at Peggy and stuttered as he asked, "W-W-Wha? W-What are you d-doing here?"

Peggy smiled at him and replied, "I'm here to help you out."

Before he could say anything, she held out her finger and stopped him as she threatened him, "Don't... Don't say that you had it under your control!"

She glanced around and said, "Besides, millions of people are watching you right now. Us right now."

She smiled at him and said, "If they see that the new superhero and Captain Carter are fighting side by side... you would earn even more plus points from the public."

Val shook his head and smiled at her as he said, "Whatever you say."

He saw her glaring at him and asked confusedly, "What?"

She glared at him and asked, "Whatever... what?"

He sighed as he rolled his eyes and replied, "Whatever big sis!"

Peggy smiled sweetly and nodded approvingly.

She turned to the armless Sentinel and said, "Come! Let's take this Sentinel down together!"

The Sentinel stood up with difficulty and looked at both Val and then... Peggy.

. . .

Madame Hydra stared at the sight of Peggy on the screen with intense hatred and shouted angrily, "This bitch is here?! Why is this fucking bitch here? I will kill her! I will kill this fucking bitch!!"

The HYDRA soldiers around her took a step back in fear and thought, 'Oh no! Captain Carter is here! She... She brutally beat and humiliated the Supreme Leader a few years ago in one of the bases she took down. Since then, Supreme Leader has developed an intense hatred for her and anything she holds dear.'

. . .

Peggy and Val teamed up and rained down blows at the Sentinel while it fired back energy beams from its chest at both of them.

Their intense battle continued for a few minutes until...

* BANG *

The shield struck the Sentinel's head and rebounded toward Val who grabbed it and threw it back at the robot.

* BANG *

Peggy caught her shield and used it to hit the robot's chest and released some of the previously accumulated energy within it.

* BOOM *

The robot flew back but it wasn't spared since Val punched it down on the ground while mid-air.

* BOOM *

* THUD *

The Sentinel lay on the ground and it scanned itself and said, "Warning! Primary Systems Compromised! Total Damage Evaluation - 99%! Awaiting Further Instructions!"

. . .

* BANG *

Madame Hydra banged her fists on the control panel and shouted angrily, "Aaaaaaah! Fuck you! Fuck you, Peggy Carter! I will have my revenge!!! I sweaaaar!!"

She turned around and ordered one of the HYDRA soldiers, "Begin the self-destruct sequence!"

The HYDRA soldier nodded and began tapping on the control panel.

She took out a knife from her clothes and grabbed a HYDRA soldier by the neck and dragged him away as she muttered, "You will be my lamb today!"

The rest of the HYDRA soldiers gulped nervously and tried their best to ignore the screaming and cries to stop as they continued to do their job.

. . .

Peggy looked at the still robot on the ground and asked, "Is it finally over?"

Val shook his head and replied, "Maybe, I thi-"

Suddenly, both of them heard the robot say, "Beginning Self-Destruct Sequence! ... Self Destructing in 10...9...8..!"

Both of them looked at each other for a second and instantly, Val flew toward the Sentinel and picked it up.

* BOOM *

With the Sentinel in tow, he flew up into the sky.

"7...6...5...!"

He continued flying toward the sky.

"4...3...2..!"

Finally, the time came.

"... 1!"

Val let go of the Sentinel and constructed an energy barrier around him.

* KA-BOOOM *

There was a deafening explosion as the Sentinel blew itself up.

The people on the ground below including Peggy looked up and saw a small sun that lit up the night sky.

After a few seconds, the small sun was rapidly absorbed by Val and he flew down on the ground leaving behind a trail of smoke.

* THUD *

He landed beside Peggy and smiled and said, "Its finally over!"

Peggy smiled and looked around as police sirens wailed in the background and people came out of the shops, and alleyways and looked around.
