Idris. POV

It had been a month since I left the Institute, a month of peace and quiet. I had gotten a cheap motel and a job as a dishwasher at some Vietnamese restaurant. Really living the good life, free dinner, a bed to sleep in, and I didn't have to use my powers at all. It was ruined.

"Good morning Mr. Rosario." I woke up sharply and looked at the voice and saw the Director standing there with a smile. I tried to activate my powers but it was no good. He noticed my confusion and smiled. "Yes, that collar around your neck stops you from using your mutant abilities." My eyes widened and touched my neck. I felt the cold metal and tried to tug it off.

"What the fuck!" He just kept that shit eating grin on his face and pulled out a folder.

"I have a job for you, Mr. Rosario. A simple assassination, nothing to serious."

"And why the fuck would I do that?" I glared at him hard and he just chuckled.

"You remember the Martin's? A lovely family. The father is in the army, a first lieutenant. Serving proudly." I only looked confused.

"I don't know what you're talking about?" He just smiled and pulled out his phone and showed a picture of their house. "Fuck"

"Yes. I have Sabretooth ready to take them out when I give him the signal or if I don't contact him in an hour. So, lets speed this up." He put his phone back into his pocket and threw me the folder. I caught it and opened it

Martin Salpa, the picture showed a Italian looking man with a frown on his face. He had a fat build an wore an expensive suit.

"How did you fine me?" I looked away form the folder and he looked out the window, moving the blinds with his hands.

"You cost us a lot of money. An investment like you could never be free. Well, truly free. We have use of your…skills." I sighed, of course news of a burning crater would get out.

"Who's we?" He didn't look at me when I asked the question.

"The investors of the Weapon X program. It's exactly a earning job, now is it?" He looked at me then and the shine of his sunglasses threw me off. Who wears sunglasses inside?

"What did Mr. Salpa do to deserve such a fate?" I threw him back the folder and he just caught it with a grin.

"Martin Salpa decided to run out on our business. He decided to try selling information to other programs. That can't be allowed. You are needed to remove him and all evidence of Weapon X he has." I just grunted and stood up. I was taller then him now, he didn't look scared in the slightest. "He's in China Town. In New York. Nuke the entire block for all I care." He pulled a picture which showed a laundry mat. "He's hiding out in here. You have your job, now get it done." He made for the door, before stopping. "Before I forget." He pulled a stack of hundreds, and a key. "Some money for the kill." He threw me the hundreds and the key, which I caught. "Have fun while you're out." He opened the door and closed it. I looked at the stack of cash. $5,000. I felt around the collar and found the key hole. I put in the key and unlocked the collar. With a scream of frustration, I threw it at the wall, it fell with a clunk.

I walked to the small closet and threw the cash in a lockbox I had gotten. I pulled out the bag that held the clothes the Martin's had given me. Inside was my suit, I threw it on the bed and sighed. Fuck me. I at least wanted an actual real place before I did this super shit. I made sure the blinds were closed and went to the bathroom. I changed into the suit and flexed around making sure everything still fitted. I pulled on my mask last. I stared into the mirror. Maybe I should get a cool design going on. The black suit doesn't really strike fear of scream original. Thoughts when I had more money.

I took off my mask and some clothes over my suit. I put my mask in my jacket and left the apartment. I walked for a while until I got to some alley. Looked around, making sure the cost was clear then I turned on the flames and shot to the sky. The remains of my clothes turning to ash. I could get some more later. I darted towards New York. It'll be some time until I get there.

The Director. POV

It was a surprise when Mr. Rosario popped up on our radar again. I was ecstatic, I knew he showed promise. I was sad when I had to light the match to remove all evidence of him. Though seeing him fly in the sky with the cameras we had around the States filled me with a certain pride. Its like seeing the kid you've abused for years finally graduate Highschool, to never see you again. The thought of him screaming made me smile. I pulled out my phone and dialed sabretooth.

"Victor, the families safe for now. He's on board." I heard a grunt on the other end and hung up the phone. I walked to my Black Sedan and got in and started driving to a local Vietnamize place. I heard they had good Xoi.

Mystique. POV

"We have news of Idris Rosario being on the move. Pyro since you both have similar powers you will be intercepting him and recruit him. Am I understood?" I asked the crazy Australian.

"Right on, Mrs. It'll be a piece of piss. I'll be the one to show 'em who the real Pyro is!" He cackled and ran away to who knows where. He was a liability in this group. I don't understand why Magento tolerates him.

"Mystique." I heard a deep voice behind me and turned around to see Magneto hovering looking down on me. I bowed my head.

"Magneto." I heard him sigh.

"John Allerdyce was confided to the island for a reason." Pyro. Shit.

"I thought it best that he proves his worth." I said nervously and I could see metal balls float towards me spinning around.

"Then should he fail. It will be on your head." With that he turned and the balls dropped. I gulped and glared at his retreating form. He will regret his treatment of me.

Idris. POV

Man flying all this distance was tiring as fuck. God I could go for a large supreme pizza. Add a box of Garlic bread bites from Dominoes and you got me a deal. I groaned when I landed. I should probably work on that. I was in an ally and deactivated my powers. My mask fit snugly and the whole suit thing drew a lot of weird looks. I ignored them and continued to my target. I walked a couple blocks until I saw the laundry mat. It had people in it. That's pretty bad. I walked in and a bell ting marked my arrival. No one looked at me, but I saw a African American sitting at the counter looking at me. She looked like she had vitiligo. Our eyes met and I could see her reach underneath the counter. I walked forward.

"Hi. I'm looking for a Martin Salpa." She smiled and looked in the back.

"I don't think theres a Martin Salpa here." Her eyes had a warning in them. The grin remained.

"Look. I don't want to give you any trouble. I'm just here for the man." She didn't look at all phased.

"Yup. No Martin. Salpa was his last name, right?" I sighed and flexed my arms. She just smiled and eyed me up and down.

"I really think you should tell me where he is." She just giggled and gave a full smile.

"I'm being paid to do the opposite in fact." She had a hand underneath her chin and the other remained under the table.

"I really don't think you'd like what's about to happen next." I said and looked around at all the people.

"Maybe I will." She pulled out a gun and I ignited. Screams followed our interaction and people scurried off. Leaving the mat in seconds

"Last chance I'm giving you." She looked at me with wonder and a new focus.

"You're a mutant?" I crossed my arms and nodded.

"what's it to you?" She just gestured to herself with her free hands.

"So am I." That's a surprise.

"What's your powers?" She tapped her chin for a few seconds in a thoughtful manner. Before snapping and pointing up.

"I'm pretty lucky." I followed her finger and saw a fire sprinkler. Fuck. It turned on and gallons of water came crashing down.
