Li Yue had confronted Dormammu head-on and even injured him, so Dormammu didn't immediately attack Li Yue like he did with the others.

He wanted to hear Li Yue's goal and the bargain that Li Yue wanted to propose! Although, it's not like he was going to agree on any conditions!

"Give up on invading Earth! Why don't you take all your believers and leave this planet alone? Do you agree?"

Li Yue was confident that he could defeat Dormammu with his current strength, but he was still in Dark Dimension. Dormammu was almost invincible in his home field!

Li Yue might be able to defeat and even heavily injure Dormammu, but killing him was impossible.

Take Li Yue's last attack for example. His fist had gouged a massive hole in Dormammu's face, but it had completely healed within moments. There wasn't any scar left.

The dark energy accumulated in the Dark Dimension was too dense and abundant. Dormammu could more or less instantly heal any damage that doesn't cause instantaneous death by consuming dark energy around him.

"This cannot do. I have coveted this planet for countless years. The Sorcerer Supreme had thwarted my many attempts to descend unto this world, but this is the closest I have ever been to succeeding. I cannot give up this opportunity!

"I shall devour this planet, consume its inhabitants, and turn them into dark energy. Then, I will bring the dead Earth into my eternal dominion: into the Dark Dimension!"

Dormammu rejected Li Yue's demands as he stared at Li Yue with his gargantual pupils.

Li Yue could feel immense wrath in Dormammu's voice every time the name "Sorcerer Supreme" was mentioned. Li Yue couldn't help but feel curious: what exactly had Ancient One done to Dormammu? To think that he would hate her this strongly!

"Is that so? Then, on behalf of the countless living being on Earth, I will beat you until you agree!"

Li Yue felt really cool after he finished his sentence.

He felt that he had become the messenger of justice, who will engage in a battle of his righteous cause and Dormammu's wicked villainy. And justice always prevails!

Right now, Li Yue finally understood why the protagonists and villains in movies, anime, and novels always have pretentious lines to say before big battles. Chuunibyou lines really do boost the morale!

Of course, Li Yue never thought that Dormammu would so easily leave Earth alone just from his demand.

Dormammu realized that he couldn't afford to let Li Yue gather any more energy: Li Yue might even surpass him, so if he didn't make his move, he would never find another chance.

Li Yue was very different from that weak human called Iron Man. Dormammu had been able to play around with Iron Man without moving too much. Even when he fought Thor, Dormammu didn't take the son of Odin seriously.

Unless Thor's father, no, even if Thor's father had entered this Dark Dimension, nothing would've changed. Not even Odin could cause fatal injury to Dormammu! Moreover, Odin was already quite old. He wouldn't lead the charge against Dormammu himself.

But the pressure from Li Yue's aura had surpassed the feeling that Dormammu felt from Odin.

Li Yue secretly shouted inside his heart when he saw the energy gathering inside Dormammu's mouth—he didn't actually say it out loud, because he'd feel stupid!

Li Yue raised his right hand and stretched it horizontally in front of him. He summoned a small blue light from his palm, which rapidly expanded!

The light flashed with blue light and turned into a dazzling blue orb, before stretching horizontally and forming a long object about two meters long. Due to the blue light that wrapped around it, it was impossible to see the actual form of the object. 

Li Yue clenched his fist and grabbed on the object, instantly dissipating the brilliant blue light. A gleaming silver weapon appeared in Li Yue's right hand, with its tip resembling a forked halberd.

Blue light once again flowed into the weapon, pulsating like electric currents. Li Yue pulled the weapon in his right hand to his side, with its three-pronged blade pointing downwards.

It was the Trident Halberd that Li Yue had forged in the Dwarven forge of Nidavellir.

Today would be the first time that the Trident Halberd would display its full power!

(T/N: I know that the name of Li Yue's weapon is silly—it's not my fault, the exact weapon has no real English name and last I checked even Wikipedia called it "Three-Pointed Double-Edged Blade", and it was funny the first few times, but I'm calling it the Trident Halberd from now on.)
