Chapter 009 | Lex’s promotion and Strategic Science Reserve

Lex with a dark-leather suit on and a long black trenched coat; he is also wearing two black-leather gloves on his hands.

He is currently walking to Alessandro for his promotion; Lex's plan has worked flawlessly so far; he started a war between the Irish Mob and the Italian Mafia.

This is the perfect time to move up in the organization and take the leader's place in the New York Underworld.

During a time of war; low-level street soldiers can rapidly improve their position and power in the Underworld.

Lex will be a valuable factor in the gang-war against both parties.

He can even directly surpass Alessandro's position in the Irish Mob making him take orders from Lex.

"You're finally here, Lex"

Said Alessandro with a serious look on his; he has summoned Lex because of the tension between the two parties.

"What is it you need me to do, Don Alessandro."

Said Lex as he begin to carefully analysis Alessandro's expression when he said "Don"; there was a slight change though.

"You're directly promoted to second-in-command directly under me."

"Puff!!!"~

Said Alessandro as he took a long smoke of his cigar; he promoted Lex because; Lex proved himself capable when he killed those guys.

"Thank you, Alessandro"

"Not need to; I have a job for you; it is to find a way to defeat the Italian Mafia for us."

An ambitious glint formed in Lex's eyes; as he began to formulate how to give himself the most benefits in this course of action.

"If you complete this job; it'll naturally spread towards the Don's ear and; he will directly promote you himself."

As he said that; the room was left silent as he watch Lex with a serious gaze on his face; this entire situation depends on Lex now.

"I will take this job and make the Irish Mob "The Ruler of the Underworld."

Said Lex as he laughs in a deep voice; making Alessandro a little uncomfortable for a second.

"Great; now that you accepted it; you get choose your own man for the mission and you get to formulate your own plan."

Said Alessandro as a small smile appeared on his face as looked at Lex with a proud gaze.

"Alright go away now; the mission begins now."

During the morning time; Dr. Abraham Erskine and group of soldiers visited Steve's house and they both went to a small military camp.

Dr. Abraham Erskine was easy-going in the car as he and Steve made small-talk with each other; the armed-gunmen were not speaking and they had a cold expression on their face.

"So Steve; how do you feel about the Strategic Scientific Reserve so far?"

Said Dr. Abraham Erskine as he begin to spectate Steve in a logical way to see if Steve really wants this.

Dr. Abraham Erskine still have a little bit of paranoia going on since he met Steve; the kid knew his name and he talked about more personal stuff.

"I feel great; as long as I get to help my country in defeating the Allies; I'm all good for it and happy."

Said Steve as he begins to look around the huge military camp; he saw a few soldiers with camouflage shirts on; they also had on some black boots.

"Are these trainees?"

Said Steve as he saw a lot of people who were practicing gun-handling and physical exercises that are important.

"My my, yes they are, Steve"

Said Dr. Abraham Erskine as he is impressed by Steve's observational skills and perception.

These are really just test subjects for the Super Soldier Serum.

"Now that your are, Steve; I think it is time for you to settle in first; your training will begin tomorrow."

Said Dr. Abraham Erskine as he talked with a serious expression on his face; he needs Steve to be ready, Abraham already is having plans about making Steve the next Super Soldier.

"These men will lead you to your dorm room."

As he said that; Dr. Abraham Erskine leaves as he went to go visited Agent Peggy Carter.

She still has her suspicions about Steve and how Hydra infiltrated the Allies.

Steve saw walked the other way as he followed the men to his dorm room; Steve is completely oblivious to the higher-ups thoughts about him.

"Agent Carter; are you really that suspicious of Steve Rodgers?"

Said Abraham Erskine as he sighed in defeat whenever Peggy has a gut feeling of something; she goes all-out on trying to solve it.

"He is just a simple American from Brooklyn."

Said Abraham Erskine as he looked at Peggy with a serious look; he saw Peggy take deep breaths as she calms herself.

"Fine; tell everything that you know about Steve Rodgers?"

Said Peggy as she stares deep into Dr. Abraham Erskine's eyes; signaling him to tell the information.
