Chapter 5: Meeting the Olympians

As the sun sets on the mountain of Olympus you can see a young boy with golden hair and eyes walk up towards the peak. Atop of the mountain you can see a group of young gods talking and discussing their next course of action, behind them in the shadows is a woman with light green hair with flowers woven in and the same golden eyes as the boy climbing the mountain.

She suddenly turns her head at looks halfway up the mountain and a small smile forms on her face and she disappears into the darkness. She soon reappears in front of the boy and he smile too.

"hey sis its been a while" Echo says

"hello Echo" she replies

"how have you been"

"oh you know, my kids murder my husband, after they locked more of my children in Tartarus (cyclops and Hecatoncheires), my sibling goes missing for 500 years, my other siblings are either asleep all the time, off world having sex with aliens or raising their own children and now im helping my grandkids to overthrow their parents, my children, in order to rule over small piece of land and apparently the cosmos, still not sure how Greece turned into the universe, so pretty normal if you ask me" She replied with heavy sarcasm.

"he he" Echo laugh with a sweat formed on his forehead.

"I'm kidding I know you were setting up your realm" Gaea replied hugging him.

Echo hugged back "sorry about disappearing and I'm also sorry to hear about what happened to Uranus"

"its okay I'm over it now its been hundreds of years, but I'm still going to get me revenge" she said with an evil smirk on her face.

"I know, as a way to make it up to you how about I help overthrow you children?" replied Echo

"as much as I would like to accept that offer the fates wont allow it" she said with a sad smile

"that's to bad" suddenly a smile appeared of Echo face "well they never said I can't do what your doing did they" his smile now looks a lot more sadistic. It isn't a face you should see on a 8 year old boy.

"no. no they did not" replied Gaea with the same smile, she knew just how sadistic Echo can be, as she has had her fair share of it during their travels across the cosmos.

As they were laughing all the titans had a chill run down their spine.

"anyway lets get to business shall we" he said holding his arm out for her to hold. As she grabbed his arm they were transported to the war room where the Olympians were planning the attacks.

The sudden appearance of Gaea and Echo shocked them and they got ready for a fight, only when they recognised Gaea they put don't their weapons.

Then they saw a young blond headed boy with the same eyes as Gaea, many began to wonder who he was while the smart ones connected the dots.

"who is this?" asked/demanded Zeus

This caused Echo to frown, the only person who can talk like that to him is his family. Seeing where this was going Gaea let it happen, she too was getting annoyed with Zeus' attitude but let it slip by as he was important to the war, but now he overdid it, especially because he said it to Echo who has the shortest fuse for people other than his family.

Rhea and Hades were trying to stop Zeus from talking again but I didn't help as Zeus once again spoke "Answer me boy"

That was the last straw even the slower people was starting to understand who the boy was now as he was still locking arms with Gaea.

Suddenly a humongous pressure pressed down on all of the people in the room. Everyone apart from Gaea was pressed onto their knees.

Zeus started to sweat buckets, not even his father made him feel this way. It was like an ant try to fight off a Tsunami.

"repeat what you just said boy" Said Echo in a low voice not matching his child appearance.

Zeus tried to respond "I---" before he could mutter even a single letter more all his limbs were amputated and he laid there with only a torso and head.

As the golden blood and screams filled the war room for what felt like hours, the pressure subsided.

The people looked up only to see Gaea with a smile on her face and hand on Echo's shoulder.

"I think this will teach him a lesson" she said

"I don't think so but I doesn't matter anyway he is just a bug" replied Echo still staring into Zeus eyes with complete indifference.

Rhea and Hestia rushed over to Zeus to see if he could be saved.

"he won't die" said Gaea

Rhea released a breath of relief and Hestia did as well but still took the time to glare at Echo.

Echo raised his eyebrows at this, he didn't expect anyone to look at him let alone glare at him after his display of power.

As Rhea and Hestia was taking away Zeus to heal Echo asked who that young goddess was.

"that was Hestia, goddess of the hearth and family" Gaea replied

"hmmm" Echo hummed in response while a smile formed on his face, but it wasn't his usual sadistic smile it was something different. Gaea who saw this smiles to herself and swore she would keep this secret to use against him in the future.

After Rhea and Hestia come back Gaea introduces Echo

"This is my youngest brother Echo the Primordial of Secrets and Lies, he is here to help me and spectate the battle".

Many people nod as that is what the assumed to be the case, but still a few didn't understand the situation , one of them being Poseidon who was busy thinking of how to use this to his advantage.

The rivalry between the siblings of Olympus was complicated, half of them believed that they should be the leader among them and the other half didn't care.

Zeus, Poseidon and Hera all want more power, while Hestia wants her family to get along, Demeter wants nothing to do with the power hungry siblings, and Hades just wants to watch as Chaos spreads among the world, not in an evil way, he just like to watch and spectate different things, he spent the longest in his fathers stomach so he wasn't exactly the healthiest mentally.

After Echo's introduction, the planning started again, this time with Echo's input every so often. After every comment he made the people around the table looked at him in terror, the things he was suggesting would eventually be turned into war crimes later but in this current era its was perfectly okay.

After 2 more hours of planning the troops following each Olympian was formed, except for Zeus's because he is still healing, and they were sent off to carry out the plans.

MINI TIMESKIP

The war had only been going on for about a year and a half now so the fighting wasn't too chaotic. That was until Echo showed up and started making plans to mess with the titans, after couple of months the titans were at the end of their rope, the plans Echo made not only targeted the food supplies and their outposts, they even drugged their water so they couldn't even drink, and because the were on a high alert all the time the never got sleep, the titans were okay, as they didn't really need sleep/food/water but the regular troops couldn't hold up that long and were quickly losing moral.

Kronos was sitting in his throne room on mount Oryths fuming in rage at the Olympians, he had to constantly turn back time on his troops because the were dying of thirst and hunger, that eventually broke their minds as they were in a constant state of fatigue/hunger/thirst, which turned into what could be called zombie horde, where the troops actually started to eat the weakest ones, normally Kronos wouldn't care, he ate his own children after all, but his troop numbers were slowly decreasing and the Olympians haven't even done a full frontal assault yet. And worse yet he can't even look into the future like he could before the war its all blurry and nothing makes sense (Gaea is doing this )

He looked to the side to his generals (the other titans) and asked "what do you suggest we do about the troops?"

The generals looked at each other before Hyperion step forward and said "my king I don't think the troops can last too much longer the only way to win would be a frontal assault on mount Olympus and take their food and water supply, even if we lose the battle and lose more troops we can still at the least feed the remaining ones more and for longer."

Kronos hearing this could only agree, they wouldn't last another month if it kept going on like this. Kronos leant back into his chair and said "prepare the troops we will set out at sunset".

The generals nodded, however nobody noticed a smiling figure in the corner of the room listening to them.

Back on mount Olympus a shadow formed in front of the table in the war room, as Hades figure reformed.

"they are going to attack at sunset it appears they cant hold on much longer" he said to the people gathered

Echo had trained Hades to better use his shadows to be able to hid from people on Kronos level

"Prepare the troops to defend the mountain" said Zeus having lost his arrogance a bit, but Echo is sure it will return in the future.
