Chapter 202. The Destroyer (Part 2)

However, at this moment, a rush of footsteps suddenly sounded.

Immediately afterwards, Phantom Thief Kid, who had left, was seen making a surprise return to the bar.

The Phantom Thief's sudden actions baffled the crowd.

"Why? Didn't you run away?!"

Seeing the returning thief, Darcy couldn't help but ask.

In response, Phantom Thief's face revealed a faintly bitter smile as he helplessly said, "I didn't want to, but unfortunately, there's a bigger guy out there."

"Huh?!"

Before the crowd in the bar could grasp the meaning of Phantom Thief's words, in the next second, a huge blaze of fire and an explosion appeared above the streets of the town.

Boom --

Looking at the damage caused by this violent explosion, Hawkeye withdrew his bow that was aimed at Bucciarati and spoke in a heavy tone, "I don't think we should fight each other right now."

"I agree, a truce for now."

In his ears, there was a great deal of screaming. Thor turned his head to look at the raging flames beyond the bar and nodded his head in agreement.

"More than fighting, we should first move the people in town away from immediate danger."

With that, Thor wasted no time and stormed out of the bar.

"We'll go and help too." Looking at the reckless Thor, Jane followed without the slightest hint of hesitation.

"Okay, move it, people. It's no time to be drinking. Get out, go home!" Seeing that both Thor and Jane clearly expressed their willingness to stay and help, Darcy had nothing to say. She then clapped her hands and shouted to the remaining few people in the bar.

"Barton."

At this time, Agent Coulson's voice could be heard in Hawkeye's earpiece.

"Sir? "

"We have a problem. A big guy is heading your way."

"Big guy?"

"That's right." On the other side of the communication, Agent Coulson turned his head to look around him with a bitter smile that couldn't be more obvious. Just now, they were attacked by a steel giant who fell from the sky. They weren't the target of the other party. If they were, perhaps the damage they would suffer would be far more serious.

"I need your help to evacuate the town."

"Understood." Listening to Phil's orders, Hawkeye nodded. He then glanced down at his bow and asked, "Want me to do something about the big guy?"

"Well..."

When he heard Hawkeye's question, Agent Coulson was stunned for a moment. He recalled the appearance of the steel giant and thought about Hawkeye's weapon, and immediately shook his head, "Better not, I've brought in help."

As he spoke, Agent Coulson turned his head to look at the several men and women around him.

The steel giant wasn't the only thing that fell from the sky; these people did too.

...

"Help?"

Ending his call with Agent Coulson, Hawkeye couldn't help but mutter a question in confusion.

'Did S.H.I.E.L.D. send someone over again? Natasha?'

Not knowing what was going on at Agent Coulson's end, Hawkeye could only make a wild guess.

Shaking his head and pushing down the doubt in his mind, Hawkeye exited the bar with his bow and arrow. He quickly understood why Agent Coulson hadn't asked him to stop the other party during the conversation he just had.

It was clear that the steel giant in front of him couldn't be stopped by the few arrows he brought with him right now.

Hawkeye even had doubts about whether the arrows he brought could penetrate the opponent's defences.

"Looks like their getting harder and harder to deal with lately."

Looking at the massive and sinister steel giant in the distance and thinking about what had happened to him recently, Hawkeye felt somewhat overwhelmed.

"Oh God, what the hell is that thing?!"

Stepping out of the bar, Erik looked at the approaching steel giant across the street, firing its cannon. His expression looked shocked.

"The Destroyer."

Thor was equally shocked, but naturally, not for the same reasons as Erik.

Looking at the steel giant that kept wreaking havoc on the town, Thor couldn't help but speak up, "It's a weapon of war from Asgard. But why is it here?"

The presence of the Destroyer made Thor sense a hint of something unusual, yet the situation at hand gave him little time to think. Looking at the advancing Destroyer in front of him, Thor turned to Bucciarati and asked, "My friend, I'm just a man right now, I have lost my powers. I can't stop that thing, but I can help get these people to safety. We'll need some time."

"I'll try my best."

Looking up at the Destroyer pushing its way through the wreckage, Bucciarati replied with no change in his expression.

Truthfully, with the power that the Destroyer had shown, it had clearly exceeded the power level of Bucciarati's character. Even if Bucciarati was already an enhanced version of the Multi-Form clone at this moment, Ryan wasn't sure that he could defeat the Destroyer through the clone.

Of course, assuming that only Bucciarati stepped up to the plate...

If Phantom Thief Kid followed, then the result would be completely different.

Since Thor's requirement for Bucciarati was only to obstruct, not defeat the Destroyer, Ryan was happy enough to keep his cards close to the chest and use Bucciarati to see if the Destroyer's power was as invincible as it seemed.

With that thought, Bucciarati used his Stand's ability. The grey and blue Sticky Fingers emerged, swinging its fist and smashing a huge zipper entrance onto the ground. Bucciarati gave a slight nod to Thor and then stepped into the zipper and charged towards the Destroyer, not too far away.

"I hope everything goes well."

Without the power he was so proud of, Thor could only place his hopes in Bucciarati.

Turning his head and glancing again in the direction of the Destroyer, Thor turned and ran towards the panicked crowd behind him.

"Everyone, do as I say and don't panic!"
