Chapter 46: Respective Healing and Enhancement

Two days later, following the traumatizing incident at the Howling Commandos in the HYDRA Belgium Facility.

Steve Rogers and the others decided to temporarily halt their campaign and focus on adjusting their mentality and coping with the emotional trauma. The SSR Headquarters was also considering solutions in case they encounter a similar situation again, leaving them no choice but to turn their hope to Howard Stark and helped them in creating a device to counter such situations.

On the other hand, Logan and Victor were forced to return to America due to their serious injuries caused by the tesseract energy lingering in their bodies. The energy prevented them from healing fully, and they felt like there were thousands of ants crawling inside them.

The SSR informed them that only the Umbrella Corporation could treat them, with Andy pulling the strings to ensure they would willingly undergo experimentation to remove the so-called energy.

Well, he is really behind there mess-up situation and forced them to go for him for help, he is really having this itchy hands in transforming their bones and coated them with Westeros alloy.

As Logan and Victor arrived at the Umbrella Headquarters in New York City, they were greeted by the familiar face of Andy Westeros, offering them a warm smile and said, "Welcome, Logan and Victor. I heard what happened, please follow me."

Logan and Victor nodded with grim expression, they were holding themselves well with the hellish pain they currently experiencing with tesseract energy running inside there body.

Andy led them inside the headquarters and into a private room where they could talk in peace, he take a seat across from them and asked, "So, how are you guys feeling?"

"We're fine for now, you see?" Victor spoke first and raised his both hand covered with bandages, he

"Yeah, for now, oww..." Logan winced in pain when he tried to speak, the energy pulse took a large chunk of meat on his left side wais and it can't heal properly.

They were still in pain from the tesseract energy that had been coursing through their bodies, and their healing factor is constantly fighting and healing the damage on their cells. They were worried about what the future held for them if this continues.

"It says that only your company could help us through this damn situation. Damn, I will really make that birch pay the price if she ever survived" Victor said with distorted expression.

Logan nodded in agreement. "We need to get this energy out of us before it's too late."

Andy listened intently, his brow furrowed with and act concern. "I understand. That's why we've already arranged for you to receive treatment. My company's doctor have the expertise to handle this kind of situation."

Logan and Victor exchanged a relief glance when they heard this, then became a bit wary again. They know their current affairs, they were worried if Andy will do something on them to obtained their healing powers.

Seeing this, Andy smile and quickly knows what they are think and thought its funny and says, "Rest assured, we will not do something detrimental to the two of you."

"What kind of treatment are we talking about here?" Victor asked, his voice laced with suspicion.

Andy hesitated for a moment before answering. "We'll need to perform some experiments on you to remove the energy. It won't be pleasant experience, but it's the only way."

He stood up and walked out of the room, saying, "Well, for now, follow me to the underground laboratory where you need to be checked up."

"Okay," both of them nodded and followed him. Soon, they arrived at the elevator entrance, and Andy pressed the button. The huge door opened, revealing the vast interior capable of fitting 50 people.

After entering the lift, Logan and Victor were amazed at how advanced the elevator looked, contrary to today's technology.

After a while, the elevator stopped and opened, showing a huge underground area with many research staff, dressed in white busy coming and going.

The Hive was vastly different from the one in Resident Evil. Not only was it super huge without messy supporting pillars, but it also looked futuristic with clean and smooth white walls covering the floor to ceiling.

"Wow, you sure we are still on Earth?" Logan says in wonder and amazed at the advanced technology in this underground facility.

Andy nodded and says, "Naturally, this only one of the many underground floor area, so both of you can confdently leave the matter of your health to my company."

Victor and Logan had their hopes up hearing this.

They walked through the whole area, with people stopping what they were doing every time their boss passed them.

It didn't take long for them to arrive in one of the operation rooms with advanced medical instruments and doctors and nurses inside waiting for them.

Andy brought them inside the room, and the doctor ordered the two of them to lay on the scanning bed for a thorough inspection.

After an hour of check-up, the results came out. Andy perfunctorily held the result paper and said, "I have bad news and good news for you guys. Which news do you prefer to hear first?"

Victor and Logan exchanged a glance, and the former spoke, "The bad news first."

"Well, the bad news is that the Tesseract energy is starting to merge with your cells and will suppress your healing power. It will only take two weeks, and after that, you know the rest of what will happen to both of you," Andy talked nonsense without blinking. He handed them a copy of the test result, which was fake.

"What?" Both of them stared at the papers in their hands with disbelief, then looked at Andy again and asked, "What is the good news?"

"The good news is, as you expect, we have a way to remove the Tesseract energy from your bodies," he paused, then continued, "Only, you need to undergo an experimentation to strengthen your healing ability and make a change in your bones."

Andy passed a paper again containing the experiment plan and said, "On the contrary, if the operation is successful, this will make you two even stronger."

Logan and Victor read intensely, and Logan asked their doubts, "What about this description that you will coat our bones with a special alloy?"

"Ah, about that? You know the shield of Steve? We'll use that kind of alloy to cover your bones and neutralize the Tesseract energy to prevent it from spreading to your bone marrows," Andy continued to deceive them, "Not only that, if you have this kind of bones, you will be fearless when you encounter a similar situation in the future. Similarly, you will be not be afraid if your head and limbs being cut off in the future."

Logan and Victor exchanged another glance, this time with a hint of fear just hearing about getting their bones coated with metal.

They knew that something was amiss with his explanation, but they had no other choice but to honestly listen to his demand of changing their bones if they ever wanted to be spared from the torture they were currently experiencing.

"Don't worry, you will not experience any pain during the operation process." Andy appease them, and both of them heaved a sigh of relief hearing his assurance.

"Fine," Logan said and Victor also said in low voice. "We'll do it."

Andy nodded, his expression sympathetic. "I know it's not easynfor the two of you. I'll make sure you're taken care of."

Logan and Victor nodded in agreement, grateful for the support. They knew this the only way if wanted to get revenge, but they couldn't shake the feeling that they were being manipulated to end up in this situation.

Meanwhile at the HYDRA Headquarters.

Susan and Melvin Scarob are inside a chamber going through a healing process. Doctor Zola is also busy transfusing vampire blood to save their lives.

"How is their situation?" Baron Blood asked in frustration. His expression is even paler with them pumping his blood every day.

"Don't worry, it will only take a week to stabilize the situation," Doctor Zola paused to think, then said, "Probably."

"What?" Baron Blood screamed in despair. Red Skull on the side also interjected, "What will happen to them after this, doctor?"

"If they successfully survive, you can expect them to obtain a superhuman physique similar to Mister Falsworth, but with stronger hypnosis power," Doctor Zola explained excitedly and said, "After their power is enhanced, the three super soldiers will become our perfect weapon who only knows how to execute a command."

"So you mean destroying the Howling Commandos is just around the corner," Red Skull laughed and patted him on the shoulder, "Good job, doctor."

The vampires are known for their hypnosis ability. With the combination of their mutant power and vampire physioilogy, plus Andy's 'power augmentation' behind the scenes, no one knows how strong the Scarob siblings will become.
