Chapter Thirteen(13)

Over the course of this last year, James had learnt a lot of things using his Resource Dimension to his advantage. From Weaving to smithing, Woodworking to astronomy, basically you could say that James just reached into the dimension every morning and pulled out any book his hands could touch. One of the many things, he had learnt was magic or at least magic theory since he didn't want to practice it considering that he didn't know it's effect and also because he was 100% sure that if he practiced otherworld magic and became excessively powerful then The Living Tribunal would surely appear before him and maybe even seal him just like it did to Zom.

Having these in mind, James didn't take his practice too far but he did study all the other branches of magic that may deem useful like Alchemy, Runes, Enchanting etc. These things weren't unusually powerful on their own but with the right combination you can get abilities like Mana sight as James called it. This ability allowed him to see supernatural energy and at the moment, he could see some weird mist around the various statues of Bastet aka the Wakandan Panther Goddess Bast. She was connected to these statues somehow and was using them to watch him so James just hoped that whatever she was watching him for, it wasn't a bad purpose. Looking around now, James noticed that many of the idols here had mystical connections to the gods they embodied and all of them were watching him.

"James, come along, we would leave in an hour or so" the teacher said when she noticed that James was just standing and looking around

"Sorry, Miss Adams" James replied and ran after her to meet up with his friends as he decided to overlook it.

Later that day, James returned home to an empty house. At this point, he was already used to it but unlike before there was a small change that made a massive difference. A year ago, Mom would spend multiple hours of her day working separate jobs just to put food on the table in fact to buy the second-hand Laptop that he was using initially, Mom had used up all her savings thus had to work even harder just to make up for it but now, she was the founder of one of the fastest growing businesses in the world.

After he had designed and ensured that all his products functioned well, James had informed his mother of his plan so that she could help get the license for all the products that required one. James couldn't do it on his own after all he was just thirteen(13) and the legal age was Eighteen(18) but having a mother who was extremely adaptable helped in many ways. As of today, Smith Search is the world's most used search engine and many people also use the various services that came with it.

James just basically replicated all of Google's services here, Google Sites was replaced by Smith Sites, Google Play by Smith Play etc all doing the exact same thing as the original and of course, James had added a few more of his own that were versions of other Social Media Apps for example He recreated WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram though they were now designed differently. Basically James just dumped most of the Google Play store on the people here, he hadn't entered this world's extremely lame gaming industry yet simply because his mother had told him not to yet.

The company made an income of more than $300 Million in a month through Advertisement alone then James started his animation studio which just blew everything out of proportion. Smith Studio alone had a monthly income of $500 Million and this was during its beginning stages, Dragon Ball being the first anime to be released was on a whole different level as the anime looked awesome. It was so popular that many streaming companies bought the rights to show the anime thus bringing more money. The family went from barely having food on the table to donating to families who need the help and charity.

This was an amazing turn over in James's opinion, Yes Smith Industries, the parent company of Smith Search, Smith Studio, Smith Entertainment etc wasn't as big as Stark Industries or Rand Industries but it was moving up the ranks with force. The Introduction of Smith-Market was revolutionary to the people since apparently people haven't thought of the possibility of working from home. A month after James released the app, It gained its first Clients and Freelancers and from then it was as though it gained a thousand more Freelancers and Clients every day and thousands of transactions occurring every minute and James earning 5% of these people's earnings.

Seeing the now newly decorated house, James smiled and matched up to his room which now looked completely different from before. After James made his first Million, his mom had been so happy that she cried. It was an action James expected from her since she herself didn't grow in such wealth. Grandpa couldn't be considered poor during his time but as things changed and the cost of living became higher, his original middle class family status slowly came down thus Mom and her sisters didn't exactly grow up seeing this sort of money so after his first Million, His mom along with his Aunts came, celebrated a bit and then proceeded to basically buy him everything he didn't need.

Hence why there was a basketball hoop hanging at an angle on his wall and his wardrobe was new, basically the sisters decided to spoil him a little after all he was the source of all of these and at the moment, all of them help run the company, helping their sister in any way they can. Yeah, the family was cute but James knew that while these people were reliable and extremely adaptable, they weren't exactly trained to run a business as big as the company.
