Chapter 190: WTF! Thor Forms the Avengers Alliance!

"In this universe, there's an ancient, ancient creature. It's been alive for a very, very long time, and it's become bored from all that longevity. So, it's taken a liking to all sorts of gambling and games," Loki explained. "It knows nearly everything about mainstream game competitions in the cosmos."

"So, everything it did on Sakaar was just for fun?" Bruce Banner, if it weren't for his long cultivation of self-discipline due to his coexistence with the Hulk, would likely have been furious by now. The Hulk, or rather himself, was a gladiator for this Grandmaster for so long on Sakaar, and it was all for this reason?

"Who is this Death Goddess Hela?" Loki showed a strong interest in option C, "Why did she want to execute Thor and specially bring him back to Asgard for the execution? What's her connection to Asgard?"

"Loki, this is what I mentioned before – our sister, Hela, Odin's first child," Thor explained to Loki.

"What did you say? Odin has another daughter?" Loki's immediate reaction was disbelief, but he knew Thor too well. Just by looking at Thor's expression, he could tell he wasn't lying.

"Tony has the video. If you're interested, you can watch it," Thor said, "When Hela came to kill our father, he had just passed away. So, she attacked us, and she crushed Mjolnir with her bare hands."

"Our father had just passed away?" Loki's expression changed abruptly upon hearing this, "When did our father pass away? Why didn't you tell me?"

"Loki, calm down and let me finish. It's a future event; it hasn't happened yet," Thor said, "We can stop her together!"

"She crushed your hammer with her bare hands? How is that possible? And how could our father possibly have passed away?" Loki turned to Tony Stark, "Tin Man, would you mind showing me that video?"

"I hope you'll consider stopping your troublemaking on Earth and help Thor prevent Hela," Tony Stark didn't refuse Loki's request. He immediately found the video and played it for Loki.

"I think it's very unlikely that Hela went all the way to Sakaar to capture Thor and bring him back to Asgard for execution," Loki said, after watching the video, "Thor ending up on Sakaar was an extremely coincidental event, even Thor himself didn't know he would end up there. It's highly unlikely that Hela would know where he was."

"No, it's still possible that Hela knew," Steve Rogers added, "Tony, have you forgotten about Heimdall, who can see everything in Asgard?"

"Heimdall has never betrayed Asgard; he's always stood by Thor's side. He wouldn't have revealed Thor's whereabouts to Hela. He'd rather be a traitor than betray Thor. Even if Hela captured him, he wouldn't have divulged Thor's location. But that's Hela; who knows if she possesses something like telepathy?" Tony Stark nodded, "Captain, you're right. Hela might still know where Thor was on Sakaar."

"I don't think Hela would go through the trouble of capturing Thor on Sakaar and bringing him back to Asgard for execution," Stephen Strange said, "Hela's target of hatred is Odin, not Thor. Thor had no idea of Hela's existence, and he hasn't done anything to make her hate him."

"That's right, I agree with Stephen's perspective," Thor nodded, "If Loki and I hadn't been right next to father at that time, Hela might have just left directly without attacking us. She wouldn't have laid a hand on me."

"Option D also seems unlikely," Bruce Banner added, "At that time, Thor was destitute. I can't imagine what leverage he would have had to trade with the Grandmaster."

"Moreover, considering Thor's intelligence, he couldn't have managed such a technically complex negotiation," Tony Stark said.

"Stark, can't you refrain from saying that? Can't you just keep quiet?" Thor glared at Tony Stark angrily, "I choose option B."

[Correct answer! Reward granted!]

Suddenly, a string of extremely mysterious characters appeared in the air. Nobody could understand what those characters meant. They just exuded a profoundly ancient feeling, as if these characters had existed in the universe for an unknown period of time.

These characters flew directly into Thor's mouth, emitting a dark radiance that was blinding and made it impossible to keep one's eyes open.

"Thor's mouth is glowing!" Li Cheng, who was watching on the side, exclaimed.

Of course, only Li Cheng knew the joke about "opening light." None of the other heroes in the answer space had that concept.

"Alright, after I leave, just recite a spell, and it will put Hela into a thousand-year slumber," Thor said with a smile on his face.

"While we haven't completely dealt with Hela, having more time is still a good thing," Stephen Strange said.

"So, that's Hela?" Loki, who had quickly glanced at the video, now walked over with an unpleasant expression. "Are you kidding me? Father has such a powerful daughter, and he kept it hidden from us?"

"Father had his reasons," Thor said, "We must trust our father."

"I do trust Father, but Father's power is no match for Hela's," Loki appeared somewhat anxious, "Thor, in the video, Father wasn't killed by Hela. He was at the end of his days?"

"Loki, I'm afraid that's the case," Thor said.

"How long until the events in the video happen?" Loki asked.

"The exact timing is unknown, but it should be around ten years or so," Thor pointed to Stephen Strange, "When Hela appeared in the video, he was also there, looking about ten years older than he does now."

"Thor, if I hadn't come to this space just now, were you planning not to tell me about such a significant matter?" Loki said with a low voice.

"Loki, I did want to tell you, but where were you?" Thor grabbed Loki's collar in his hand, his anger evident, "Father's end is near, Hela is about to be born, Father needs us, both of us! But where were you? What have you been doing all this time? Collaborating with the Zitarrian invaders on Earth? Have you lost your mind? At the time when Father needed us the most, you brought outsiders to Father's domain and caused trouble?"

"You should have told me earlier. You should have told me earlier," Loki seemed to be at a loss for words, repeating this sentence incessantly.

"Thor, is there any way to extend your father's life?" Nick Fury couldn't help but ask.

"I asked, but Father's stance is very clear. He said it's his fate, unchangeable," Thor said, "He's been waiting for that day to come for quite some time."

"Fate? What does that mean?" Tony Stark asked.

"Father doesn't want to say much about it," Thor said, "But he told me not to be sad. Life, aging, sickness, and death are all part of the natural order."

"Odin is a god, isn't he?" Scott Lang asked, "Gods can die too?"

"Nothing in this world is eternal. Even the universe will eventually come to an end. Of course, gods can die," Thor pointed to himself, "One day in the future, I will die too."

"Odin, someone who stands at the pinnacle of the universe, actually mentioned the concept of fate?" Bruce Banner found it more and more perplexing, "Is it possible that, even at such a level of strength, one can't control their own destiny?"

The light brightened, and the video began to play.

At the beginning, Valkyrie, Thor, and Bruce Banner were seen walking together.

Valkyrie said to Thor, "Listen, for all these years, I've been living aimlessly just to forget the past. Sakaar is a place where you can indulge in drinking and forget, silently waiting for death."

"I think excessive drinking will eventually be the death of you," Thor reminded her considerately.

"I have no intention of quitting alcohol," Valkyrie responded unenthusiastically to Thor's concern, "But I also have no intention of continuing to forget. I can't run away anymore. So, if I'm going to die, I'll pierce that murderous old witch's heart with my sword first."

"Very well," Thor said contentedly.

"So, I'm joining your team," Valkyrie asked, "Does the team have a name yet?"

"The team's name is the Avengers Alliance," Thor hesitated for a moment and then said.

"The Avengers Alliance?" Valkyrie found the name absolutely terrible.

"Because I'm definitely seeking revenge, and you're seeking revenge too," Thor turned to Bruce Banner, "And what about you? Do you have any grudges to settle?"

"I, I haven't decided yet," Bruce Banner said.

"I have a welcome gift for you as well," Valkyrie smiled and brought Thor and Bruce Banner into a room.

"Surprised, aren't you?" Loki was sitting there, still shackled with iron chains.

"Confirm that it's really you," Thor wasted no words, picked up a metal can, and threw it at Loki's head directly.

Loki exclaimed in pain, then he saw Bruce Banner. Although he had tried to escape at first sight of Bruce Banner, he now greeted him as if nothing had happened, "Hello, Bruce."

"So, the last time I saw you, you intended to kill everyone. What do you think now?"

"My thoughts have been changing," Loki's poker face was indeed impressive. He answered Bruce Banner's question as if nothing had occurred.

"Is that the Dragon Fang Sword?" Thor spotted a sword on a nearby table, picked it up, and marveled, "Heavens, this is the Sword of the Valkyrie's Glory."

"So, Sakaar and Asgard, two distant galaxies. Our best course of action is to find a wormhole near a city, refuel on Sakaar, and we can return to Asgard in about eighteen months," Valkyrie explained a method to return to Asgard while they were on Sakaar.

"No, we need to go through that large teleportation gate," Thor pointed outside the window, "The demon's anus."

"Anus?" Bruce Banner was eating something and was taken aback by the name. "Wait, wait, whose anus?"

"I want to clarify that I didn't know it was called that before," Thor explained.

"That thing looks like a collapsing neutron star in an Einstein-Rosen bridge," Bruce Banner said, walking towards the window.

"We need another spacecraft," Valkyrie also approached and pointed outside the window, "The one over there would be torn to pieces."

"She's right," Thor said, "The spacecraft needs to withstand the gravitational pull of the singularity coordinates."

"It also needs an offline power control system," Bruce Banner added, "It needs to function normally when the main computer fails."

Truly a scientific genius, even discussing spacecraft with such expertise.

"We also need a cup holder," Valkyrie pulled out a bottle of alcohol from somewhere, "Anyway, I won't live long, so I might as well get drunk."

"Do I know you?" Bruce Banner kept looking at Valkyrie, finding her strangely familiar. He couldn't help but say, "I feel like I've seen you before."

"I feel the same way about you, it's strange," Valkyrie also had the same feeling as Bruce Banner.

"What do you think?" Bruce Banner asked Thor.

"Traveling through an unstable cosmic portal, embarking on a life-or-death interstellar journey. Sounds thrilling, right?" Thor extended his hand for a fist bump with Bruce Banner.

"There are plenty of ships at the Grandmaster's place," at this moment, Loki, who had been tied up on the side, spoke up, "I also managed to steal the security password for their defense systems."

"Why the sudden change of heart to do a good deed?" Valkyrie asked, crossing her arms.

"Of course not," Loki said nonchalantly, "I've fallen out of favor with the Grandmaster. As an exchange for the password and the ship, you have to safely get me out of that anus."

"So, you're saying you can help us access the hangar without triggering the alarm?" Thor asked.

"Yes, brother, I can," Loki replied.

"Can I say something for everyone's consideration," Bruce Banner, not trusting Loki, turned to Thor, "I just talked to him a few minutes ago, and he was fully intent on putting us in a deadly situation."

"He did want to kill me," Valkyrie added.

"He wanted to kill me too, it's quite a long story," Thor glanced at Loki, scolding him, "There was a time when we were kids, he turned into a snake. He knew I liked snakes, and just as I was happily picking up the snake, he suddenly turned back and had that 'Hey, it's me!' expression, then he stabbed me. We were only eight years old at the time."

Bruce Banner looked at Loki in shock. He knew Loki was a scoundrel, but he didn't expect him to be this much of a scoundrel, stabbing people at eight years old.

Thor was just a child back then, how could Loki do that?

"If we want to launch the ship, we'll need to distract the palace guards," Valkyrie suggested.

"Why not call that beast to help?" Loki suddenly chimed in.

"You have a beast?" Valkyrie asked with excitement.

"No, there's no beast. He's just talking nonsense," Thor immediately denied, not sure if Loki's mention of a "beast" stirred up some unpleasant memories.

"We need to incite a rebellion," Thor said.

"A rebellion?" Bruce Banner didn't quite understand this plan.

"I'll explain later," Thor said.

"Who is this person?" Valkyrie asked again.

"I'll explain later," Thor said the same thing again.

The rebellion plan was quite simple. Valkyrie went to the area where the gladiators were held captive, removed the small discs from their necks, and gave them weapons. The gladiators, who had long been oppressed, had no hesitation and immediately rose in armed rebellion.

"A revolutionary uprising, how is this even possible?" The Grandmaster was stunned when he heard the news.

"I don't know," Topaz, holding a stick, honestly said, "But the control system of the arena has already failed, and the slaves have armed themselves."

"I don't like that word," the Grandmaster stopped in his tracks upon hearing this.

"Which word?" Topaz asked, "The mainframe?"

"No, not the mainframe. What's there to dislike about the mainframe?" The Grandmaster said, "It's that word, the one starting with 'nu'."

"Sorry," Topaz finally understood, "The working prisoners are all armed now."

"Okay, much better," The Grandmaster smiled.

Meanwhile, Thor and Loki stood in front of a door, and Loki was inputting a password.

"I think we should have a good talk," Thor waited on the side with his arms crossed.

"I don't think so," Loki's hand paused while entering the password, then he continued confidently and finished inputting the password, "Our family doesn't have the genes for candidness and honesty."

"We do, you just didn't know." The door opened, and Thor walked in confidently, "It happened after our last conversation."

"Hello."

"Hi."

Both of them held large guns and greeted the people in the room, then they started firing intensively.

"Odin brought us together, and his passing turned us into enemies. How poetic," Loki chatted casually with Thor while killing enemies, "We're best off as strangers now, two princes, going with the flow."

Although there were quite a number of enemies in this wave, their opponents were Thor and Loki, and they were slaughtered overwhelmingly.

"I have to say, I can't stand this anymore. I really can't," Tony Stark couldn't help but interject at this point, "You guys look like you want to break up even though you don't really want to, but you're using this moment to bring it up."

"Yeah, at this point, if the woman just says sorry and apologizes, the man will immediately turn sadness into joy and beg the woman to stay," Stephen Strange chimed in.

"It's true, the woman clearly doesn't want to break up," Clint Barton added, "Even though she's pretending to be aloof and not caring, her eyes have already given her away. She cares about the man. As long as the man asks if they can stay together, she'll definitely nod."

"Shut up!" Loki's face turned dark as he listened from the side, "I'm Loki, Odin's son, the God of Mischief. How dare you portray me as a woman, this is a huge disrespect, you..."

"Did we say the woman is you?" Tony Stark interrupted Loki, "Did we mention that the woman is Loki?"

"Uh..." Loki was caught off guard by the question, and even with his clever tongue, he couldn't come up with an immediate answer.

"You're the one who jumped to conclusions and blamed us?" Stephen Strange retorted, "But on the other hand, why did you insert yourself into the woman we were talking about? Does that indicate something?"

"Congratulations, Thor, you've also seen it," Tony Stark congratulated Thor, "The woman you've been thinking about, she also has feelings for you. Maybe she herself hasn't realized it."

"..." Thor immediately had a black line on his face, "Stark, shut up!"

The video continued playing.

"Let's play the 'Save Me' game!" Thor suddenly said.

"I'm not playing," Loki shook his head.

"Come on, it's your favorite," Thor insisted.

"No, I absolutely hate it," Loki refused.

"It's really effective, it works every time," Thor said.

"It's so embarrassing," Loki said.

"Do you have a better idea?" Thor asked.

"No," Loki replied.

"Then let's play the 'Save Me' game," Thor suggested.

"We're not playing any 'Save Me' game," Loki firmly refused once again.

Ding!

In the next moment, the elevator door opened, and Thor supported Loki as they both yelled and walked out, "Help! Please! My brother is about to die!"

Several armed soldiers quickly approached upon seeing this situation, but Thor used Loki as a weapon and threw him out, knocking down the soldiers on the spot.

"Absolutely perfect," Thor grinned.

"I still hate this game," Loki stood up from the ground, "It's so embarrassing."

"At least it's not me embarrassing myself," Thor told a big truth, his gaze falling on the ships, "Which ships did she want us to take?"

"Commander's ship," Loki pointed at a relatively small-looking vessel.

"Although I don't see anything particularly special about this ship..." Loki seemed to be talking to Thor on the surface, but the real Loki had already left, and the one standing beside Thor was just an illusion.

However, after being fooled so many times, Thor had finally learned his lesson and saw through Loki's trick this time.

"I know I've betrayed you many times before," Loki's real form stood next to the ship, speaking as if nothing had happened, "But this time, it's not personal grudges. Catching you will bring a very generous reward."
