CHAPTER-4 DESTINY
Lucas goes to the kitchen to check who is in there. he finds his mother in the kitchen. "What are you doing in the kitchen late at night?" She asks me.
I ask her," Who are you? What are you doing in my house?" Even though I know she is raven.
"What are you talking about I am your mother, don't you recognize your mother?" She said. " Don't lie to me I know who you are and also my mother is not at home. So tell me who are you?" I told her. I use Revit Stab and extend the tendrils toward her and threaten her to tell me who she is.
She changes back to her original form. "Please don't do anything to me. I am here just to steal some food. Please don't hurt me." she said while crying.
"Hey, stop crying and tell me your name," Lucas said to her. "My name is Raven Darkholme. I came here to find some food to eat. I am very hungry." She said.
"My name is Lucas Xavier. You don't have to be afraid of me. I will not harm you." He said with a friendly smile. lucas ask her" Can you change into anyone?"
"Yes, I can change into anyone but I can not control it very well." She replied. "That's amazing, you have very wonderful power," I said excitedly. " I thought I am the only one with powers. I am very happy to meet with someone who has power."
A faint smile tugged at Raven's lips. No one had ever complimented her abilities before. Most of the people saw her as a freak or monster but this boy saw her as something special.
"Where do live? do live with you parents?" I ask her. "No, I live alone. My parents abanded me when I awaken my powers, they saw me as a monster and freak." Raven replied.
"Do you want to live with me? You are the only one I have found with power" I ask her. She replied, "Your parents will not say anything to you for letting me stay here." "It's alright my parents will not say anything but you have to hide your powers in the future," I said
I forget to ask you, "How old are you?" She told me she is 12 years old. " okay tonight you can sleep in my room." I told her.
We go to bed to sleep. " oh god I was very tired of acting like an excited child" I thought.
The next morning Lucas and Raven wake up to the sound of the doorbell ringing. Lucas gets up from the bed and looks outside to see the police. He rushes downstairs to open the door.
He greets the policeman, "Good morning officer How can I help?" "Well, we come here to inform you that your parents Mr. and Mrs. Xavier died in a car accident yesterday night," Policeman said.
His legs gave way beneath him, and he collapsed to the ground, sobbing uncontrollably. His entire world had crumbled in an instant, leaving him feeling utterly lost and alone. The reality of his parents' sudden demise felt surreal as if he was trapped in a terrible nightmare that he couldn't wake up from.
I control myself from going berserk using telepathy. The police ask me to come with them to the police station to do some paperwork. I call Raven and tell her to stay at home and wait for me. After doing the paperwork I go to the hospital to see my parents one last time.
I cried holding their lifeless bodies. In the days that followed, Lucas's emotions swung wildly like a pendulum. Denial, anger, guilt, and profound sorrow overwhelmed him, and he struggled to come to terms with the enormity of his loss. He did the funeral of his parents. His friends and extended family tried to console him, but nothing could ease the pain that seemed to consume him entirely.
As the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months, Lucas had to navigate a new reality without his parents. Lucas found solace in revisiting the memories he had cherished with his parents. He held onto the stories they had shared, the life lessons they had taught him, and the love they had showered upon him. Those memories became his guiding light in the darkness of grief.
While pain never truly disappears, Lucas learns to cope with the help of Raven. He will be dedicated to pursuing his dream, knowing his parents would have wanted him to succeed.
My relationship with Raven is very good. I taught her how to fight a few weeks ago. I have also used telepathy on her subconscious mind to make sure she will not betray me.
In a few weeks, I have been invited to the Stark expo as I am also a shareholder of the Stark industry. I will meet the future Winter soldier and Captain America at the Stark Expo.
